Wonderful staff , great service at breakfast Good views from my balcony. Great choices at breakfast.

Not maintained at all stayed there 2016 everything was new and functioning. Now paint falling off walls . Food was not picked up outside room for 2 days . Hotel is falling apart as far as decorating and amenities. Needs a total refurbishment. Not 5 star .

From the moment I walked in, Souad greeted me with a warm and genuine smile, making me feel immediately welcome. Their dedication and attentiveness were truly impressive. They efficiently handled my check-in process, provided excellent recommendations for local attractions in Essaouira, and were always ready to assist with any requests we had during our stay. Great place to spend holidays. Best food including booth continental as like local cuisine. Stuff is always helpful, services works 24H, very clean hotel with good smells. Soft pillows, good bed and matrices. Room is clean each day with refilling water or coffee. Wonderfull wives prob. one of the best in Essouira. Hotel is bit old and it has lots of signs from usage but still its clean and well prepared for guests as well don't expect Ritz in Africa.

Except for 1 person, all staff were exceptional and accommodating. Our room had an issue and the lady at the reception was super accommodating and very empathetic.

There was 1 waiter at the restaurant who kept making inappropriate comments. He was calling me “china lady” (because I have an asian face). The comments during our dinner were very uncomfortable, so we did not really respond. But he kept coming back. I don’t think he is racist and perhaps it is his way of checking in to see if everything is good, but definitely needs to be more aware especially working for sofitel. It was very disappointing and really ruined the ambience of an otherwise amazing dinner. Overall the property is a bit outdated, if you can look through chipped paint then the hotel is quite nice and comfortable. Rooms are spacious and there’s a big swimming pool.

Sofitel Essaouira was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the ambiance exuded luxury and tranquility. The stunning architecture, combined with the serene surroundings, created the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, providing the utmost comfort and sophistication. The amenities were top-notch, and every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure a memorable experience but the hotel is start getting less luxury overtime especially the elevator was terrible. Overall, Sofitel Essaouira surpassed all my expectations, thanks to its unparalleled service, luxurious amenities, and tranquil ambiance. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and I look forward to returning soon. A heartfelt thank you to Inas and the entire team for making my stay truly unforgettable.

Everything was good the only issue was the elevator it stop working sometimes.

This is a top location to stay with family in Essaouira. I was alone with my son and I simply loved it there. In a very quiet part of Essaouira - you definately need a car to get there by yourself. But the views are great, service is top, and you can really relax fully here. Food is great. Employes are very kind too.

i thought they would clean the room the next day, but they havent. other than that, everything is really nice and I would go back in a heart beat. Check-in took a little while, but other than that all well.

Everything! Sofitel has not one flaw. Yousra and Ines especially made our stay the most comfortable it possibly could be. They have been so helpful and really made Sofitel shine as much as it already does. Everything from the atmosphere, the ambience the design and the staff is 5 star quality. Me and my sister have fallen in love and will definitely be back it truly is the best place in Essaouira. Thankyou so much to all the staff, and personal thanks to Yousra and Ines. From the moment we arrived at Sofitel Essaouira, we were enveloped in a world of exceptional service and undeniable charm. The hotel itself boasts an exquisite design, but it's the staff that truly makes the experience unforgettable. Yasmine, with her keen eye for detail, transformed our room into a haven of beauty and comfort. The reception was nothing short of remarkable, thanks to Ines, Souad and, Yousra. Their warm welcomes, helpful insights, and constant readiness to assist made every interaction a delight. A special mention must go to Fatimazahra from housekeeping. Her meticulous attention to cleanliness and organization in our room was impressive. She not only maintained the highest standards but also did so with a smile and a kind word every day. Lastly, Nadia and Oumaima were the unsung heroes of our stay. Their behind-the-scenes efforts in ensuring the hotel ran smoothly did not go unnoticed. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every corner of the hotel. In conclusion, our stay at Sofitel Essaouira was a memorable one, thanks to the exceptional staff. Would have loved to have a large Smart TV in the room with the capability to plug in my computer for entertainment as well. Added a few more snack options, such as small sandwiches to the room service menu would also be a recommendation.

The staff could be better - everything was very slow, and i had to ask for some things twice. Also i didn’t like the food - it’s strange that 5star hotel couldn’t find a cook with better skills to cook national food. Chicken tajin was not possible to eat - just a very dry chicken with no anything - no water, no vegetables, no preserved lemon and olives - nothing. All small cafes of Medina cook it better. But harira soup was ok. And the worst thing was that I couldn’t sleep well because the ventilation system is located right above the bed and the sound is really terrible. So i had a bad night and decided not to come again. Though in villas it may be better i guess.

Staff were very accommodating, especially Mohamed who went the extra mile every morning at Breakfast, a lovely young man. The grounds are vast and well maintained, great for walks.The Hotel was only a £5 taxi ride in to the Medina, loads of fab restaurants. There was also a free return mini bus from the hotel, which ran on the hour till 6.00pm,.. It was a great experience, very cultural, safe, relaxed and friendly in the Medina.. I notice on some reviews clients write the hotel wasn’t 5*, well, for the price it was pretty damn good.! If you want a good 5* you have to pay for it.. on the whole this was a great experience, I’d recommend this hotel to a friend! The staff at the hotel were incredibly polite and helpful at all times.
