Riad Hôtel Essaouira is just as beautiful as it looks in the photos — full of charm and character. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the simple Moroccan-style décor made it feel authentic and cozy. I especially loved the colorful glass windows - such a lovely touch! The breakfast was delicious, with a great mix of international and Moroccan dishes. A perfect way to start the day. A special thank you to Abdellatif Bouzaydy, who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, both over WhatsApp and in person. My flight was delayed and I didn’t arrive until 1:30 a.m., but he was there to assist me with everything. The rest of the staff were also very kind and attentive throughout my stay. I was even able to leave my luggage at the reception after check-out and use the bathroom before heading out - they were always so accommodating and friendly. I truly recommend this riad. Beautiful place, great location, and an amazing team that makes you feel at home in Marrakech.

Couldn’t get more central if you tried, right in the heart of the medina, but still very quiet at night! You step out of the door to every shop and restaurant you could want. Breakfast on the terrace every day was a delight. Eggs, all kinds of moroccan bread, yoghurt, a different fruit every day, cake, orange juice and teas. Bedroom and bathroom were also very clean, not to mention the riad tiling is stunning.

There were ants in the bedroom (not uncommon in marrakech). And this didn’t impact my feelings about the cleanliness of the room. At one point we were told the water was off in the riad, but this was fixed almost immediately. Staying in the centre of the medina is amazing but be warned that the consistent noise and harassment when walking the streets gets too much after more than a couple of days!!

The breakfast was well rounded (not all riad breakfasts include eggs, theirs did) and the service was great. The room was nice. The cleaning staff was kind, attentive, and proactive. The bathroom was nice and clean. The decor and terrace were beautiful and they had an excellent view. Great value for money. It was very close to the plaza and very central in location. The receptionist helped me with my luggage to my room. My best stay in Marrakesh. I would have stayed more days if they were not already booked out the other days I needed.

the bathroom was mostly nice and clean. It randomly had a leak the morning I checked out. The TV did not work. There was a bit of a language barrier with the receptionist. There was only a hair dryer at reception upon request. It would be nice to have one extra person on staff to walk tourists, especially women, later in the evening if they need to go out in the medina. If city tax can't be included in the bill, please mention to travellers to have dirhams on hand to pay separately at reception. Some bottled water should be in the room upon arrival. I arrived late, and I needed to step out late at night after sunset to get filtered water upon arrival.

Well what can I say about this hotel from the booking to the checkout. such a beautiful quintessential traditional morrocoan style hotel with a lovely courtyard with beautiful mosaic tiles. On my arrival I met the front desk staff Hassan, Sufyan and Abdul Hakim lovely guys the room that was allocated to me was on ground floor which was nice small but cute, had all that I needed. It had A/C nice lovely shower and bed. As I was on my own it was more then sufficient for me. The breakfast was was served in the terrace and what a lovely breakfast I must say with lots of choices and a very good selection of breakfast. the staff in the kitchen were friendly. This hotel is located in the quiet streets only less then 4-5 minutes away from Jamea el fina. which is where all the nightlife razzmatazz is happening, but far enough not to be disturbed by any noise. I did tell the frontdesk that I will be back with my wife and daughter as this was just a solo visit. I would definitely recommend this lovely hotel to anyone who is looking for a stay in Marrakech.

The.hotel.was.very well located on the Medina, what made very easy to visit the city. The riad was beautiful, with lots of details. Everything was very clean.Every day they change the towels and clean the Room. The breakfast was excelent, bread, fresh iogurte, fresh Juice, eggs, pancakes and marrocan bread, Cake...served by very nice and friendly persons. The Riad also had tourist services and transfer to and from the airport.We used the transfer and everything was ok. We left the hotel at 2 AM and it was perfect. In 3 minutes you are on Jemaa El Fna and on a very busy area but in a very quiet área were you ear little birds singing. It was a wonderfull stay and I will recommend to everybody.

The staff was very friendly and supportive when we asked them for information. The room was a bit small but was ok. The bed was very good, we rested very well. The room had an air conditioner. The location is absolutely great.

There was a pipe smell in our room. The breakfast is ok, but the same every day and only one egg, so more variety (and eggs) could be offered. If this Riad had a swimming pool, it would be great!

It is in a quiet alley very close to Jemaâ El Fna and surprisingly quiet. As is the nature of traditional buildings and the style of buildings in hot countries, that is, there are no carpets and few soft furnishings, sound carries, so it is possible that, depending on other guests, it could be noisy. The common areas are very pretty. I had a basic single room which was not so pretty, but immaculately clean and very comfortable. My bathroom was equally immaculate. The staff are possibly the friendliest, smiliest, kindest and most helpful I have ever encountered. I loved it so much I have booked for next year and am taking friends with me and have also recommended it to other friends.

If I am really, really nit-picking...more clothes hangers! Otherwise absolutely perfect. Great value for money.

Great location, friendly staff

We’re a bit concerned about leaving our room key on the front desk, but we were told it was safe , which turned out to be the case.

Property has a beautiful interior and a lovely rooftop terrace where you can eat breakfast with a view of other Riads. Rooms were spacious and air conditioned. Staff were fantastic, I have nothing but good things to say about each and every staff member. I spoke with the lovely cleaner every morning who always had a smile on her face, the 2 men on the front desk could not be more helpful when booking taxis and asking for advice. The breakfast was delicious every morning and ever failed to disappoint. The gentleman who served breakfast truly did “serve with a smile” and made me feel so welcome, and I left breakfast with a smile on my face every day! He was ever so helpful too and gave me some tips on where to get taxis from etc. He really did showcase just how hospitable Marrakech is. The Riad is situated no more than 5 minutes from the main Medina too.

Close location to main areas for visiting. Shower, and terrace area great. particularly as can have breakfast there. Able to come and go as I pleased, well maintained and quiet whilst still close to main square. AC works well (very hot outside) so is a must

A hand shower in bathroom would be helpful next to toilet for those who utilise this as I assume many people from different parts of the world and customs stay here therefore, toilet paper and hand shower option would be good to have this plumbed near the toilet.
