We had a peaceful and memorable stay at Riad Dar Zen in Rabat. After parking just outside the Medina, it was an easy 5-minute walk to the riad. We were welcomed with tea and sweets, one of only two places in Morocco to offer this gesture, which we truly appreciated. The riad is modern, clean, and beautiful, with just a few rooms, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Our room didn’t have a TV, and the shower was in the room itself, which we found refreshing and unique. The riad’s location is excellent, close to the market and key attractions. We left early and missed breakfast, but if you’re looking for peace and tranquility, this is the perfect place to stay.

Just a heads-up for tall people—I bumped my head on a metal handle above the room door and drew some blood, so be careful!

Clean and simple decoration , very comfortable . The location is convenient , but not noisy around . You can buy snacks outside the alley , or take a walk in the city , try restaurants where the locals eat . It’s quite close to Carrefour , you can buy a lot of Moroccan daily necessities .

The bathroom and bed are in the same space , closer than what we saw on booking . May feel a little uncomfortable when taking a shower .

We have no words to describe how amazing and comfortable our stay was in this place. Fatiha and Tareq are real tourism people, they know what they are doing and they know the ideal definition of hospitality. We cant thank them enough for going above and beyond to make our stay so special. The place is super clean, super comfortable and super quiet. The rooms are very unique and charming, bed is very comfortable. Location is also good. For those who complained about the location, most Dars and Riads are the same inside the old cuty and believe me this place is way better than most of the places in the same area. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique authentic Moroccan stay.

The property is well maintained and the traditional design is great. If looking for a nice cultural experience I definitely recommend.

If you’re more accustomed to a typical hotel room, certain aspects of the property — such as the bathroom being inside the bedroom, the room size, and the low soundproofing of the walls — might bother you.

property is beautiful and calm - 120 year old Riad recently renovated. it has 3 bedrooms plus a nice terrace and patio with a plunge pool which was cold but refreshing it is spotlessly clean, the bed was big and comfy and it was quiet at night. bathroom was stylish and well equipped with lots of towels and bath robes which was a nice touch Tarik is the best host - very friendly, helpful, makes a nice breakfast! He even walked to the main road out of the Medina to meet me when I left my laptop in the bedroom - very kind of him located in the old medina - close to the shopping streets and with lots around within walking distance

The only ‘negative’ aspect of the propriety is that, In our room, there was only the bath tube without a separate shower

Comfortable room with everything we needed. Tarik was a superb host. He went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. He arranged everything we needed, even offering us the loan of his umbrella. And he provided a delicious breakfast. I can’t say enough about Tarik - he gets 5 stars!

Dar Zen is a hidden gem in the middle of the Medina. it is a very peaceful space with only 3 rooms to book so a maximum of 6 guests with a small pool perfect for a cool plunge to escape the heat. The hotel owner Tarik welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to stay later than our check out to enjoy the pool. All the rooms are styled in tradition Moroccan decor which added to the beauty of the place

A 'Treasure in the Medina'. Tarik went out of his way to ensure that we had a superb visit. Calm and exceptionally well looked after. Spotless, clean and comfortable. How lucky were we to find such an amazing place to stay. Thnak you!

over all the experience was amazing, the details of the place, clean, calm, so cosy and touchable.. took my heart. I can stay all the day with my book.

should mention that it’s inside the old market , you should park outside if you come with own car, don’t bring big suitcases, because you have to drag it all way into the market.
