The room was exactly what you pay for, but the location was perfect and the staff were phenomenal. If you’re staying in tangier for a night or 2 this is your best bet.

The easy access to everything

The location is great. It's at the end of Mohammed VI Street. 2 min walk from the Kasaba ( the old city ). It is in front of the old port, amazing view. Check-in was fast. The gentleman at the front desk arranged the taxi for me at 03:30 at night to the airport. Check out was also very fast. I would love to stay more time in the beautiful city of Tanger. It's very clean. Good WIFi. Clean bathroom. Marco Polo is a great hotel for a great price. I will go back soon to Marco Polo Hotel in Tanger. This hotel honestly deserves a high rate.

This is a STUNNING location property, which is right near the water & the Plage municipale beach. I was greeted at reception but two lovely staff members, who were so courteous and just very lovely! Check in process was very quick and I was escorted to my room, which I found to be very spacious, clean and well maintained! And the WiFi worked great too. Honestly - this exceeded my expectations. Albeit it is rated 2 stars, the property is stunning and great if you’re a budget traveller and need a great place to stay. It is close to the beach, 10 mins taxi from Tangier Ville Train station and right on the main boulevard- so plenty of shops & restaurants! Can’t speak highly enough of the staff who are simply great and super helpful!

Very few amenities provided - but other than that, excellent hotel.

To be honest, compared to the price paid I wouldn't have expected the hotel to be the way it is. The person in the reception is friendly yet professional. The hotel design is good and clean. The room is clean, the bed is clean and cozy with an air conditioner and TV. The bathroom is spacy, clean with adjustable water temperature so hot water is available All accessories available, shampoo and and so on and of course multiple clean towels. The location is a big asset, in front of the beach and near everything : Marina, Markala, old medina, the famous Boulevard, city center ...You can go to most visited places by walking. The train station is not far, it's only a few minutes driving. All of that with a very affordable price taking into account how good the hotel is. All my friends and colleagues visiting Tangier make this hotel their first choice based on my recommendation.

Top!!! I’m so happy that I stayed in this hotel! I called the receptionist because I needed to give them my pack bag before the check-in time. They were so welcoming and they accepted to keep it for free! I enjoyed my trip that half day and when I come back for the real checking I was impressed by the very CLEAN stairs, floors with light and peaceful colours and I immediately felt home when I joined the room! Very clean (they are the ladies that clean there every morning) and the reception is 24/7 and my room was so calm/no noises at all! (my windows was on the other side of the street - not the Main Street) and I loved that! The bathroom is furnished with 3 towels + 2 shampoo/body soap and toilet paper, warm water and everything functioning including the ventilator and the bidet!. The room reminded me my childhood room :) well furnished. One big bed and 2 abajour and the main light. The two wardrobe, and a small fridge with the same colour of the furniture. And the other bedsides and drawers all clean. Not dust at all! I mean I tried to check with my finger and ZERO dust! Wow ❤️! The Airco + the TV satelite working perfectly! I was so happy that I decided to book for another time in the future! Location in front of Marina and good snacks/restaurants with affordable prices nearby! Many thanks for everything!

With all amenities quite safe secure location staff was excellent and kind lovely new apartment with working lift and secure parking also I checked in late the owner was excellent and pays attention to detail to Help and accommodate 💯 recommended as it’s modern new apartment super clean with hot shower and full facility to cook etccc. Will defo recommend to friends and family to stay here

No breakfast available at the hotel. Good restaurants and cafes just up the street. I enjoyed sitting inside or on the street and watching the people go by. Breakfasts were 5 to 10 dollars. I asked reception for a kettle for my room and it was available the next day.

The stairs and the hill approach will be no problem for most people. I appreciated the staff for helping me with my luggage. They always rushed to my assistance. The ambiance made it worthwhile. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone I meet because of its charm, location, and reasonable price.

Breakfast was not included in the price. There are several small cafes nearby and breakfast is cheap. What I especially like is the hotel is right across the street from the beach. It is always sunny and people watching, at the restaurant and at the beach is an enjoyable pasttime. There are horses and camels on the beach, so there are a lot of photo opportunities.

I asked for and got a hot pot to plug in so I am able to have tea in my room. This is very much appreciated. Thank you. The public areas are beautifully decorated. The staff is helpful and courteous.

I loved the ambiance. Great hallways, sitting areas, and lobby. I took photos of the light fixtures and the ceiling coves, and furnishings. I appreciated the chairs and small table in the hallway where I could place my things while opening the door to my room.

There is no elevator. However, the staff always jumped to my assistance, so the absence of a lift was not a problem for me. It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the rooms. I asked at the desk and had a kettle for tea for my entire stay. I will be certain to stay at Marco Polo again.

The location is a very plus point, right on the main road.. old madina (market) is few meters away. For tanger city beach you just need to cross the main road. Taxi are always available on main road. Tanger train station is just 5min away by taxi and 15-20 min by walk. Tip: use INDRIVE App for taxi services they charge less than normal taxi.

No in-house restaurant.. but it’s not a big deal there are restaurants nearby within walking distance. Also if you are looking for Indian food pls google for SARAYAH FOOD which is 5 min walking distance from Marco Polo.
