Friendly staff and tasty food, got upgraded to Heritage room and which was also spacious. Arranged for late breakfast for the first day.

Breakfast menu was too less, black coffee was boiled water and powder poured inside, photo from outside gives an impression of open surroundings but what you look is other buildings rather do not expect any view. Shower cubicles without curtain therefore water inevitable. No shower mats therefore get out with wet foot and also chance of accident as the shower is inside the bath tub. Entrance to the hotel is a narrow road between some shops therefore doubtful of 4 star category

the team. Everyone of them was wonderful. They each seem to really care about us. Sushil who booked us a room at the Waterfront Hotel in Pokhara. Purnima in the restaurant, her colleague who is responsible for the evening shift, the chef who was watching from afar and the young boys who were eager to serve us. The food at the hotel was pure joy. The staff at the reception are always friendly and very helpful. The 3 cleaners who always smiled, they were very efficient and changed sheets and towels. Every day after cleaning, the room looks like we just checked in. The 2 guards, dressed as soldiers, saluted us every time we entered the hotel the historical building 10 minutes walk from Thamel

It took a while for the hot water to arrive

I returned to Maya Manor Boutique Hotel after trekking and this time booked o an executive room, which was well worth it. The room was nicely furnished and the third floor, with large windows to two sides and a large bathroom with shower. The place is really quiet and the large courtyard is like an oasis in the hassle and traffic noise of Kathmandu. Still, you can walk to Thamel in 10 minutes.

The rooms are clean and tidy, but there could be more attention to detail for the price. I asked for it, though and the cleaning staff at once took care of it.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating from front desk to housekeeping to dining room and security guard out front was a joy to see everyday with his salute and big smile. Breakfast was delicious with made to order omelettes and a big selection, good coffee. Desk kept luggage store when needed. Room was clean, comfortable, shower warm, bed comfortable. It was a beautiful building with history. Safe, secure, off the main road. Nice outdoor, lit courtyard to sit and relax and outdoor terrace on 2nd floor.

Area was a little out of the way, at night it was a little walk to get to shops, restaurants. Price was high for my budget and amenities similar to other places stayed in the city. I was there for a meeting and worked well to stay with group those days and served our needs though.

Lovely experience! Room was very clean and comfortable. Om Prakash, Saroj, Sujal, and Navraj were so friendly and very well behaved and gave wonderful service. The receptionist and security guards are wonderful as well. Good food too 😊

The shower is a little tricky as the whole bathroom gets wet. It would be nice to have the wiper to clean up the water afterwards.

Very nice staff, especially the security guy with the biggest smile in the world, saluting you as if you were the president. Clean rooms. Good food. Especially recommend the Jane Goodall suite, named after the famous primatologist who regularly stays there.

A bit secluded from the action. But on the other hand all the more peaceful.

My second time in two weeks and I got a free upgrade in an executive suite. The room and bathroom were spacious and incredibly clean. This time it was a buffet setup for breakfast and they had a thousand options to choose from: nepalese-indian foods, continental such as eggs, fruits, croissants, pancakes, toasts, and a huge variety of flavours. Special mention to the young waiter with the glasses who takes excellent care of the guests. I will happily return to this hotel, thank you so much for the experience.

Great location near royal palace museum and garden of dreams. Quiet location up a side street. Beautiful building and interior decoration. Comfy large rooms with air con and powerful hot shower. Amazing food in restaurant and room service, and great buffet breakfast selection. Helpful friendly staff.

I had hoped for a massage after a trek but it was not possible to book in advance and the spa was not staffed during my 2 night stay. I understand this is run independently from the hotel. No other issues.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Kathmandu city. It is easily accessible using both private and public transport. I had booked the free airport shuttle for the arrival. The hotel is a transformed mansion and has a traditional and modern twist to its architecture. It has a great ambience with historical images, paintings and vintage stuffs show-cased around the hall giving the sense of time in travel to the past. The staffs were hospitable with cordial gestures and were helpful throughout the stay. The room was spacious, neat and well lit with natural light from the large window. There were complementary mineral water bottles, coffees, teas and percolator to heat the water for the tea and coffee. The walk-in shower was equipped with free toiletries and fresh, clean towels. The bed was super comfortable and there was tea-table with couches for tea or coffee. The room service of the dinner was excellent with delightful Nepalese cuisine. The best Maharaja Thali I have ever had in Nepal though the yoghurt was sour and I am not fond of sour yoghurt, could have been wonderful with King Curd from Bhaktapur, just my personal preference. The breakfast was buffet once and a la carte the other day and it was nice. I would especially like to thank the Supervisor for her warm and hospitable gestures and making sure that breakfast was well served. I highly recommend the Maya Manor Boutique Hotel by KGH Group at Hattisar, Kathmandu.

Breakfast could have been better though it is not disappointing at all.
