Attic room was exactly as described and as in the photos. Location was brilliant: A short walk from Amsterdam Centraal station, right in the heart of the city, yet in a quiet neighbourhood. It was perfect for a family with two teenage children. The stairs to the attic were really steep, but it didn't bother us because we read it in the description before booking. This accommodation is not an appartment, but a room and attic upstairs of a house. There is no kitchen, but a coffee machine and a small fridge were enough for us to prepare breakfast before heading to daily activities.

This place was super stylish and charming. The monkey/safari theme was fun and distinctive. Our host, Joris, was super friendly and helpful. He brought our bags upstairs, gave us great recommendations for lunch and some activities as soon as we arrived and even left some fruit and drinks for us to enjoy during our stay. The house is on a really picturesque quiet street but is just steps away from all the action. Great rooftop views from the front window and lovely private deck in the back for some fresh air. Just enough space for a family of 4 as long as no one is too tall.

There really was nothing we didn't like. The description of the stairs is no lie. The top flight was as steep as a ladder. We could have done with an extra hand towel or two and maybe a sponge for the dishes but that's really just nitpicking. Overall it was a perfect way to end our European adventure.

We really enjoyed our stay in the attic jungle! Joris was very kind. Easy check in and out.It was warm and cozy, perfect for me and my two teenage kids. Everything was near by .I also appreciated the tea bags collection and the coffee.Thank you Joris.I would definitely stay there next time.

1. It's smaller than it looks in the pictures. 2. Very steel stairs to get up to the attic where the room is located. 3. There was no hot water in the shower on the first morning however there was hot water at the tap.

This lodge was very cute! The beds were extremely comfortable and the place was very clean. The wine, beer, cookies and fruit were an excellent perk. Location was ideal and walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see/do. The host was the kindest and coolest guy. He was very accommodating to our needs and had great recommendations.

Water temperature for shower. Lots of stairs but that was flagged in the advertising material. Quite cosy for 4 people.

This place is in a great location, and it’s very quiet at night. Joris was a wonderful host and addressed any issues we had. Maybe a little tight for four adults, but it’s a great space. We had a great time!

Joris, the host, was super helpful with advice before our arrival and during our stay. We also received a great welcome. Overall we had amazing stay and very smooth check in/out.

Second floor mattresses were tilting a bit, but once we moved them a bit away from the wall towards each other the issue was solved.

Perfect location within convenient distance to restaurants, shopping, sights and a great host. More intimate than living in a cookie cutter hotel.

Perfect location for all the sights. Close to both the train station and the airport. Lovely quiet little side street. Joris was a perfect host and accommodated our needs. Couldn’t ask for more 😀
