The location is magnificent! Walking distance to many major sights. You feel like a local living in the city in an amazing apartment. We really liked the warm welcome by Marlies. The App she provides is extremely helpful. The space is super nice! It’s very clean, the beds are very comfy and there’s enough space to hang out when you’re tired of walking the city. The cute little patio outside is perfect for a glass of wine in the sun at the end of the day. A really unique stay. We’ve enjoyed this much better than any of the (boutique) hotels in the area. We’ll definitly be back. Thanks Marlies and family for creating such a wonderful space and for your warm hospitality!

Our trip to Amsterdam was perfect because of Singel Residence. It's a pleasure to meet our landlord, Marlies. She's a life-loving landlord and everything about her place is full of ingenuity. It has everything you need and located right in the city centre.Just in 10-minute walk from Central Station that deliver you to anywhere you needed.Marlies recommended lots of nicer places to go and restaurants lists that make our trip much easier.I felt like miss Amsterdam and Singel Residence already!We will be back! The place was beautifully appointed, clean, and was close to the places we wanted to visit. The owner of the rented apartment took great pride in the apartment and was quick to respond to any questions we had.

We arrived when it was raining and therefore it became difficult to locate the apartment. We wished we had been told that even and odd apartment numbers were on the opposite sides of the canal, as you don't see the name of the street until you're on the other side of the canal.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful canalfront home! Our host was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. The home was spotless, well-organized, and filled with thoughtful amenities and charming touches. The internet was fast, and the space was very comfortable throughout. We especially appreciated the app the host provided—it was packed with helpful information and made our visit even smoother. A truly wonderful stay!

This property was amazing. It was the perfect location right in the middle of everything, with a canal opposite. It was walking distance to all the major areas, shopping, food and the main train station. The apartment itself was so comfortable, the bed and shower were amazing and there was everything we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The hosts were brilliant and kind. They recommended things for us to do and even booked us a restaurant when our train from Germany was delayed. This was especially welcomed as what was a 2 hour trip ended up being 7 hours, and we were in no state to think of where to go for dinner. The hosts are beautiful people and I recommend this apartment 100 percent. We were thinking of staying further out but so glad we didn’t.

Roomy, clean and right on a canal. Bed was super comfortable and the location was perfect! Marlies was a wonderful hostess. Friendly with advice and recommendations on things to do and see. Popped by before we left and gave us some lovely Dutch biscuits as a parting gift. So thoughtful and sweet!! You will not regret choosing this as your base for this beautiful city. Walking distance to main attractions and rail station where you can catch a train to or from the airport.

No kitchen facilities at all or sink other than in the bathroom. A microwave, toaster etc would be nice to be able to do some of your own food. Not a big deal and you can just go out for breakfast but it would be nice to have that option. Would definitely not stop me from going back though!

My family of 4 (2 teens and 2 adults) had a lovely stay in the Singel Residence. The location was perfect, the apartment was cozy, and clean and had all the amenities we required. Our host Marlies went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was immediately responsive each time I reached out - which was especially helpful when we locked our passports in the safe with the "wrong" passcode minutes before needing to leave for the airport! The app she will recommend you to download has a TON of great recommendations for restaurants. This is such a nice touch since there are so many restaurants in Amsterdam - it is nice to get the suggestions of a local who shares her first-hand knowledge. I wish I had referenced that app when I was in a different part of Amsterdam earlier in the week! (Pretty much my only regret of the entire trip!) We had just spent a week in the Netherlands (which we all loved) and it was so nice to spend our last night in this lovely place. Have a great time!!

Adorable space. Clean. Opposite Singel canal. Beds extremely comfortable. Lovely hosts. Strong shower. Cute bistro table outside along with beautiful flowers. I sat outside one evening with a glass of wine and put on my make up. I stayed here with my daughter and she had the pull down bed which was a double bed and she said was really comfortable. There are sky lights in the main bedroom and it was nice to wake up and see the blue sky. Hosts extremely helpful, efficient and approachable.

The host was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everything was exactly as pictured, the place was very clean and comfortable.

Although the location was very close to the center and right in front of a canal, it was mostly quiet. We did have some issues with noise as there seemed to be a party going on directly in front of our stay. We were also a bit bothered by the smoke coming from e-cigarettes and had to close the window. The party later moved upstairs, and due to the structure of the building the noises of steps and talking were very loud.

The property was spotless, inviting and had everything you need for a stay in Amsterdam. Freshly renovated, the space is actually much bigger than it looks in the pictures. We had our two kids (5&8) and there was plenty of room for them to play, sleep and enjoy the warmth of the accommodation. Central location too but in a quiet spot. Very easy to get to from the train station. Safe neighbourhood with lots of food options.
