The staff at the Renaissance hotel are wonderful. Everyone is very helpful , friendly, professional and forthcoming.. The room was well equipped and spacious for a city centre stay.

Although informed about renovations on booking, I was glad I was not at the hotel in the daytime, as I came to Amsterdam on business. If you are on holiday this is not ideal for a lie in as it got quite loud. And the renovation is not reflected in the booking price .Also on checkout day the lift had issues, a member of staff walked past me with a guest whilst I tried to call the lift upon his return I asked if the lift was not working , he let me know that it was an issue with the buttons and the lift could be used from the back access . It became clear that this was where he took the other guest but although seeing I tried calling the lift didn't think to let me know( I was on the 6th floor)

room small but comfortable, clean and tidy. staff very nice. Breakfast lovely, good choice suited all tastes. location of hotel very central near shops restaurants etc.

It was odd that they did not have a restaurant serving evening meals, however there was a cafe type bistro/ coffee shop which served food but closed early.

To us, what truly makes the star of a hotel is the staff—Laurianne and Rev were perfect! The location is hard to beat—you're just a few steps from the train station and everything you'd want to see downtown. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast buffet is very complete and worth its price. Some comments complained about the rooms being too cold, we did not experience such thing, even with -5°C outside.

To us, what truly makes the star of a hotel is the staff—Michael at the reception was meh. He checked us in and did not explain anything, no smile. Some parts of the hotel are getting old.

The newly renovated rooms were a nice surprise and well decorated. The location is always the draw for this choice. The staff and conceirge team go above and beyond every time.

The hotel has been in renovation for some years and so I am happy to see the progress and give a pass on the small things.

The location was great, the rooms comfortable and clean. the bed was fantastic. The bar/ lounge is good serving tasty meals and we had great service from Pandeli.

The reception staff need training. I found them rude and condescending. The overcharged me and Rui was unwilling to listen to me. The other receptionist told me he couldn’t assist me as Rui was helping me and even tried to insinuate that it was my fault as I did not request an invoice.

Check in staff were great only thing the concierge didn't really give correct Information to our river cruise which departure point was just across the road from central station he sent us to a completely different location which meant we just made our trip by 30 seconds

Shower over bath getting into the bath to have a shower was a little bit hard for us, there was a slip mat to use in the shower which was very handy.

The hotel was brand new and even while it was been renewed no services were affected. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Due to my schedule I couldn't have any of the meals in the hotel so I cannot comment about it.Perfctly located on a quiet street and close to the train station.

Hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday evening although bar meals were available. Very busy at check in desk.

Cozy hotel not far away from the Central Train station in Amsterdam. Nice location walking distance from shops and restaurant. Very charming hotel
