The hotel has an excellent location: on a walking street, amidst eateries and cafes for all tastes; within a 5-min walk from the Station Centrale, the tram stops, and the underground. At the same time, a few minutes will take you to the maze of quiet canals. The staff is welcoming and accommodating, willing to help at any time; excellent communication via the e-mail and the website. The ‘night guard’ just made us feel home.

This is a perfect stop downtown, especially for young people. For us, the oldies, a steep staircase was quite a challenge (this would be the only warning to keep in mind).

The staff were friendly and accommodating. Always willing to help you out. The location is good and safe. Ideal if you are travelling on your own and you want a place you can keep your luggage and have a pleasant stay that's private, clean. comfortable and friendly. Great that their is an Albert and Heijn shop a few metres away, and nice variety of restaurants to choose from - in close walking distance (100-200 metres).

Their is no lift, so be mindful of luggage. That being said, the staff working or friendly and willing to offer a helping hand.

Hotel is very conviniently located 5 min walking from the central train station and 2 min walking away from trams and buses to take you everywhere. Room was very clean and people very helpful with everything.

I guess the only thing I did not like was that, like many buildings in Amsterdam, there was no elevator and the place has a tiny staircase up to the rooms. I was traveling with a small carry on so I could manage the 3 floors up (the lovely guy on the front desk helped me too as I had a dislocated shoulder), but if i was traveling with a big suitcase that would have definitely be hard to handle.

Great location. Staff were so lovely and super helpful. I asked OOH could they fill up a hot water bottle for my back and they did with the kettle in the reception. Stairs are steep as per other reviews but really no worse than any other hotel in Amsterdam. I’d probably stay higher up next time as on second floor, all guests basically pass your door to go upstairs so did get a bit loud but would stay again. I’ve stayed at another hotel three times as great location but changed to this one and would stay again.

Absolutely great location, right in the centre of all thats going on! 5 minutes walk from the train station too (as cab was 50 euros) from airport. Staff were very willing to help. Free tea/coffee available to all. Noise wasn't an issue and we were placed at the front street side. Fresh towels every day, and place was spotlessly clean. Shower was great and hot enough. Only downside (not for us) is very steep staircase from front door to rooms. I do think thou that most places in Amsterdam will be exactly the same, as all similar builds. Hotel stayed in touch and included plenty of info with emails, inc checking in and where they are. Super helpful. Wound totally recommend this place for a short break or even a wk. Cafés are next door and every 30 yrds, including some great restaurants to eat at. We will be back next yr for sure. Make sure you take the train as its only 5 euros one way!!! 😉

The hotel was centrally located. I found the hotel's address easily. I found the room, towels and bed clean. The employees are friendly. At the first entrance, Mr. Rıdvan welcomed us very well and was very helpful.

Super convenient location, close to everything we need.

Our window was facing the street so it was noisy, but it quiet down a bit at night. The heater woke my partner up at night, it had to be set to a fairly high temperature for it not to be noisy. We did expect the room to be small, but it was tinier than we expected. No kettle in room, but it was provided in the common area which the afternoon staff told us we only had access up to 9pm, but it turned out to be 24 hours available that night

Property was a 2 minute walk from the station and was right in the middle of all of the hustle and bustle. Though the room was perfectly quiet. Perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfortable and staff were very welcoming, allowing us to leave our bags all day after check out.

The stairs were very steep (as are most in Amsterdam) and the view out of the window was of a drainpipe and a wall! The room was smaller than expected, just 2 single beds and about the same space as another bed between.

The location of this hotel is one of the best for me. I have stayed in Amsterdam countless times and this is going to be the new standard of location for all my future stays. Check-in went quite well. Though I was a bit early, the gentleman at check in was more than helpful in affording me early check-in. He was quite pleasant; I did not take his name, but he seemed to be of Indian/Pakistani heritage. His customer service was awesome. I wish I had gotten his name, but I didn't.

This is more of an observation than a dislike. An elevator would have been nice, and because the stairs are quite steep and narrow, it is a tricky maneuver to carry large/heavy luggages upstairs. Considering the design of the hotel, I am not sure how an elevator would be installed. If you are a light traveler, this is definitely for you or if you are a traveler who can easily manage your luggage up and down the stairs, then you should definitely stay here.
