We had the best time at this hotel! The price-quality is really the best. Everything was super clean, the breakfast was great and the people at the check-in super friendly, helpful and nice. Thank you so much for having us, we would totally come back!

Room could do with slim wardrobe With drawers. Hanging space next to light and coffee machine not adequate. Also coffee machine not very good The room is very small so no space ( not even a fold down table ) or to put your things on . I think you need to warn people if their room has stairs to it . Could be big problem. Second night I could hear straight through to next room coughing snoring. No windows to open for air

Everything! The staff were fantastic, friendly and made us feel comfortable from the start. They were happy to provide extra blankets and the room was immaculate and comfortable. Nice touch with the snacks and tasty water at reception (which I was obsessed with). Ideal location and surprisingly quiet.

Unfortunately the pressure from the shower was very poor and there was no hot water for the first 2 days. This was uncomfortable in the cold weather but luckily the room was nice and warm with the heating. However, we do understand how the cold weather could have affected the boiler. Though, the water pressure was sadly not improved when the hot water had been fixed.

The heating in the room is very loud and without it turned on it gets cold fast. Also you can hear every sound coming from the hallway and rooms that are close by

We always got a friendly greeting from reception when we entered/exited the building. The location is great - within walking distance of museums and restaurants. If you want to reach anywhere else, the tram stop is just around the corner. The lobby has several convenience items for purchase - beverages, wine, snacks - and there's a communal microwave. The rooms have mini-fridges and coffee machines.

While there technically is a (very small) elevator, you always have to do at least one set of stairs to get to your room. Plus, the staircases are steep, with narrow little steps. While not a problem for me personally, I would rate this hotel low on 'accessibility'. I doubt a wheelchair could even fit in the elevator. I would equate the layout of the hotel to a tight maze. But I would guess most buildings in Amsterdam are narrow and tall like this one, so I'm probably being unfair. But that's just my impression from a first-time Amsterdam visitor.

I had a comfortable stay at Huygens Place Amsterdam. The staff were exceptionally friendly, responsive, and available 24 hours a day, which made a real difference to the experience. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and even checked my friend in early ahead of my arrival. The location was excellent — close to public transport for easy access around the city, yet far enough from the busy center to remain peaceful. Being within walking distance of museums and some excellent cafés was another highlight. The complimentary coffee was also a lovely touch and consistently very good. Overall excellent value for money.

The main downside was the noise. The walls were extremely thin, and I could clearly hear conversations from neighboring rooms as well as children screaming, which disrupted the otherwise calm atmosphere. The air conditioning control panel in my room was difficult to set, and since the windows couldn’t be opened, the temperature wasn't ideal. It would have been helpful to know about the inability to open windows before booking, especially given the AC issues. The bathroom was tiny and there was limited space to hang 2 towels and nowhere to hang a hand towel. The shower while having excellent pressure, flowed out of the tray and as there was no shower curtain and only half a glass panel, and consistently flooded the tiny floor space and pooled in front of the sink.

We booked very last minute after finding our original pre booked hotel was utterly horrifying, dirty, just overall grim. An absolute nightmare as we’d had a very early flight and little to no sleep. Very stressed, I found Huygens just around the corner and thankfully they had a room available at a very reasonable rate. We popped round and spoke to the loveliest gentleman at reception, we booked the room on the spot. He clearly saw how upset and stressed I was because he provided us a free mini bottle of wine and had personally gone round the room himself whilst we were getting our bags to ensure it was spotless. And spotless it was, I cannot tell you how happy I was to see a gleaming bathroom! The whole room for that matter was clean and tidy, mini fridge with complimentary bottled water, lovely bathroom, lovely toiletries provided. It was also so so quiet! We couldn’t believe we were in central Amsterdam! The staff we spoke to were all incredibly pleasant, cannot do enough for you. The housekeeping staff did a stunning job every time they came in. Honestly can’t rate this place highly enough, we will definitely be making this our go to place when staying in Amsterdam.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect — close to everything I needed and easy to get around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also really appreciated how clean and well-maintained everything was throughout the property. The room itself was on the smaller side, and being on the 4th floor, it had smaller windows, so there wasn’t as much natural light as I’d hoped. But overall, it was a comfortable space and had everything I needed for a short stay. I’d definitely consider coming back, especially for the fantastic location and warm hospitality.

The best location, easy to arrive to through metro, many resturants and cafes can get by walking, most of the attractions can get to by walking, did not take metro or tram to any attractions, there is a big garden with walks, cafes and lakes, so beautiful relaxing there after long day walk, supermarket 1 mints walk and it has every thing you need, room is small but very comfortable, bathroom is clean and room service is the best, definitly staying there again. Oh, reception guys are the best very helpful and friendly.

The staff is amazing. everyone was nice and welcoming. The location of the hotel was also really good, close to the Vondelpark, and in a beautiful central neighbourhood. Our windows were above the garden, so we had a pretty quiet stay. also, there's a supermarket and tram stations nearby, and a lot of city sights are in a walkable distance.

The cleanliness could have been a little better, especially during the stay - we stayed for more than a week, and we did expect them to vacuum at least once in two days. Also, in our room the water pressure was very low - they did offer to change the room, but the water pressure in the other room wasn't much better and he was smaller, so we managed.
