I’ve already stayed at Ed before and loved it. The location is perfect, the hotel is modern, the rooms are cozy, the breakfast is varied and tasty, all the staff is gentle.

This time specifically I booked a “standard room” and choosed to pay a little more for a 12m room, instead of a “economic room” of 8m but when I got there, my room was exactly as the pictures os the economic room: really small. I talked with the man (a tall one, not the lovely sir I met last year) that was at the reception and he told the room was correct (even with me showing the difference from the pictures), the rooms have different dispositions sometimes and the hotel was totally full. Since I like the hotel from past experience and the price I paid for having more meters wasn’t exactly so significant, I ended the conversation but something was wrong: or the pictures here at Booking.com or the room where they placed me (406).

I like property in Dutch stylish outlook. The interior is artistic design, the reception and waiting area is tidy and clean. Our room is in 4th floor spacious corner with clean comfortable queen size bed and hanging rack. A small refrigerator is benefited for us to put milk & water. You can ask to refill coffee capsules for expresso machine in the room. I would like to thank you for all staffs at the reception, they are very polite and friendly. Particularly thank you for Ms Sophie helping us to resolve the problem of verification code to book museum tickets. This is a very convenient cozy hotel by walking or easily take public transportation to approach most sceneries, dining places, snacks shops, shopping along the street & so on. I highly recommend this hotel.

The bath towel is not that clean and one is broken. The bathroom is an issue if the guest is short like me because the shower, body wash & shampoo are in high level. It’s a little difficult to reach.

The room we had was big enough for the night. We were happy we took the slighter bigger one mentioned at 12m instead of 8. Better be traveling with lover, close friends or family as the door of the bathroom is in glass (not see-though) but feels bit exposed while others look in that same direction when watching TV. No problem for us though.

Only hiccup was that our room was located just outside the elevator door used by staff so early morning cleaning noises, glasses and bottles, elevator opening and closing. But this would not have been a problem in another room further away from that elevator. We did end up falling back to sleep anyway.

I had an absolutely flawless experience during my stay in the double bed room. From the moment I arrived, the check-in process was smooth, quick, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and professional, making me feel right at home. 5 minutes to tram station and 10 minutes after you’re in center of Amsterdam. The room itself was spotless, and very comfortable. The double bed was cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged — from the lighting to the amenities — creating a relaxing atmosphere.

We loved that we were able to find good quality accommodation that was affordable with each room having their own bathroom (fair and few in Amsterdam). Although the location on the map seems “further out,” it’s about 30 minute walk max to the Central station and 3 minute walk to Leidesplein which is popular for its bars and restaurants. The hotel was clean, the supplies downstairs for drinks and snacks were great and the check in and out process was seamless. Also very easy to get to and from the airport on the shuttle bus (about 25 mins and stops almost outside the front door!) Will stay here again if we come back.

It was very warm but we resolved by figuring out how to open the window 🤣 also rooms are very small for a standard double - but we packed lightly!

Room had everything we needed and nothing more. Price was a bit high for this though. Location was convenient to a lot though. Lobby worker was helpful and expedited our check-in. Liked the water-filling station by entrance.

The shower setup. Water sprayed outside of the shower area quite a bit. Had to use several towels to keep the area dry so we didn't slip and fall. Very limited counter space. Wall hooks were loose and coming out of the wall so they weren't stable enough to hold our toiletry bags.

Funky design, good use of limited space, drinkable tap water, quiet despite its central location.

If you insist on having a semi see-through glass wall between the bedroom and the bathroom to create an intimate atmosphere make sure you put the shower, not the toilet, right next to it. The other way around is just wrong.

I got the room as soon as I arrived around 11, which was great. Had asked for a quiet room and got one in the fourth floor. Small room (12 square meters) but had everything I needed. Could open the window when it was too hot. Some mosquitos. A good location for visiting the museums.

Hate the appification of everything. It is a move towards self-service, you need to check in yourself, and communicate whether the room needs to be cleaned or not. Hotels these days claim that they care for the environment when they reduce cleaning services to reduce their own personnel costs. This kind of "branding" is tiring.

Fantastic location. Nearby parking. The rooms felt bigger than expected. A comfortable lobby to relax. We had a big comfortable bed without the split down the middle and great AC. A clean hotel with fun decor and atmosphere.

Just a couple of things. The elevator only fits 2 persons and is a bit quirky. I took the stairs a lot. In my opinion, breakfast should be enjoyed at one of the many cafés in the area, I wouldn't spend money on this one. It definitely didn't have the options the other reviews claimed, but at least we didn't plan to eat there besides the last day. Not that it's a real problem necessarily, this isn't really a staff driven hotel, but there was someone in the office to help guide through computer payment, check-in, and check-out if needed.

Location was excellent for us. Breakfast service was important for us and was great. Other possible necessities were covered with small store, bar etc. Bedroom bathroom was good. Appreciated reception help to book our taxi back to airport.

Steep steps entrance to hotel were a little stressful with suitcases. Bedroom was adequate space but narrow, just enough room either side of the bed but a struggle to put 2 cases out for our 3 night stay.
