I had a pleasant stay at Hotel La Bohem. The staff were truly wonderful—attentive, friendly, and helpful. A charming bonus was the resident cat, which added a cozy, welcoming touch to the experience. The buffet continental breakfast was comprehensive, featuring a great selection of fruit, cereal, breads, and cheeses. It was a delightful way to start the day. I stayed in a single room downstairs and was lucky to have a view of the rear terrace, which was a nice surprise. The location was also excellent, with a tram stop conveniently located right outside the door, making transport around the area very easy. Overall, a great experience, and I would happily stay here again.

One small downside was the size of the bathroom for the shared space, which felt a bit compact. However, there are additional sinks and vanity units in the bedroom, which helped a lot. It’s not a big issue and feels more like part of the quaint architecture and style of the accommodation typical in the city.

The location of this lovely inn was perfect for our visit to Amsterdam with our goal of spending a full day at the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum - both within walking distance. The breakfast each morning was delicious - coffee, pancakes, eggs, yogurt, fruit, delicious pastries - we couldn't have asked for more and quite reasonably priced. The room was clean, had a lovely window overlooking the street and the theater across the way, and we were almost sad to leave to embark on our Viking River cruise. In all, La Boheme was the perfect place to start our European vacation.

The only challenge was the very narrow, turning staircase that we had to haul our luggage up to get to our room. However, the listing on Booking clearly explained that there was no elevator in the building and the young (and very helpful) staff took pity on us older folks and gave us a hand on the way out. We, however, managed to get our bags up on our own, but if you are in any way mobility challenged, this could be a difficulty.

Upon arrival there was a very warm welcome with the necessary explanation. The room was very nicely decorated and had all the necessities. We slept in a room on the street side, but had absolutely no noise problems. If this had been the case, there would have been earplugs available. The breakfast was a huge addition, with many (vegan) options! The coffee and tea throughout the day was also a real plus. The sights were all within walking distance. In general, we really enjoyed our stay and the sweetest cat Jacky!

Beautiful hotel very close to the Rijksmuseum, the food district and shopping opportunities. The staff was very nice and welcoming, the cat theme was really cute as well :) The neighborhood was quiet at night and seemed safe. The breakfast was great quality and really tasty. The rooms were clean, modern and well decorated, except there was no closet. Would love to visit again!

There were some details that could’ve been taken care of better – washing the cups near the water kettle better including the kettle itself, as well as replacing the shower head (the fake chrome plating has cracked off over time and almost cut ourselves on it when grabbing it)

Amazing place ! - firstly the hotel is very well located, two minutes from a big supermarket, 20 minute direct with tram from the Central station, and very close to a lot of restaurant! - Then they have a delicious breakfast with fresh pancakes and Dutch cheese (+vegan option) - the stuff is amazing. They offered us free drinks and chocolate for the birthday of my sister-in-law - the room are clean and very cute. We had a very nice view on the city center (which was a pretty quiet street in front of a theater). - Bonus point for the cat at the front desk!! it was very cozy and not pricey, compared to the quality

— the staircase are a little narrow, so I wouldn’t recommend to travel with big luggage, especially since you can be on the third and fourth floor. Except that everything was amazing one of the best place I stayed in Amsterdam !!

We recently stayed at this property, and it was perfect! We had two rooms, a double and a triple. Both were clean and comfortable. The location was terrific, just a few minutes’ walk to some of the city’s best museums, and a nice central spot for exploring central Amsterdam. But what makes the hotel utterly charming is its super friendly and lovely staff, and the hotel cat Jacky, who vets all guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

It wasn’t a negative for us (even my 85-year-old mom was fine, but she’s pretty spry) — but just a note for anyone who has trouble getting around — as with many Amsterdam buildings, the stairs are narrow and steep and it takes some effort to climb them with your luggage.

Very good! The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. In fact, I lost my ccard and they didn't mind me asking a few times and taking my contact number. Besides, the hotel had free coffee / tea, what was great with the cold weather, and the room was cleaned every day and was practical, had all you need for a few days. On the other hand, I found the location also great, close to the city center, however, very quite, not within the busiest streets, I mean. I imagine that with warmer weather this might change.

I wasn't able to be Jacky's new friend, tried to pet her with my jacket on and she didn't like it 😿

Excellent location, easy access from the airport, close to everywhere, delicious breakfast, but what is really special and creates the atmosphere of this place are the people. Extremely nice and friendly staff at reception, especially Astrid who greeted us on arrival. An exceptional person who makes you feel at home from the moment you enter La Boheme. I would recommend to everyone, especially cat lovers, as the cat Jacky is also an important member of the La Boheme family:)

The hotel staff was superb made me feel like I was at home and it’s SUPER CLEAN!!! oh and the breakfast is bomb in the am definitely want to include that the location is 10/10 this is the only place I’ll be staying when I return even better in person !!!!!

Nothing everything was good yall stop complaining about the damn stairs it’s Europe lol the price is the best hands downs with all it has to offer it’s a steal you gotta see for yourself! Oh and PS if you’re going to indulge n some 420 like I did lol get room 3 in the basement there’s a garden atttached that only you have access to and you can smoke out there all day!

Welcoming and helpful staff. Enjoyed fascinating conversations with a couple of the staff members. Tidy and clean. Delicious and healthy breakfast. Pleasant dining/lounging area. Convenient location, with one tram line right outside the door and others nearby.

Bed was a bit small for a 6’2” 220 pound man such as I. This may be because I was staying in a tiny room (#2). As other reviewers have noted, and as is common in Amsterdam, stairs are steep, verging on being a ladder. Only problematic for me when lugging my 45 pound suitcase (I am heading to northern Finland for a month).
