Fabulous location- near museums, tram stops and the bus from the airport dropped me a 3 min walk from the hotel. It was also easy to walk into the old part of the city. Plenty of shops and places to eat within easy walking distance. Great to be able to leave luggage before check in AND check out. Good size, comfortable clean room - comfortable bed.

No tea / coffee making facilities!

The location of Prinsen Hotel is perfect. Just minutes walk from Museumplein and located very near Leidseplein with access to the #2 and #12 Trams that take you to Dam Square and Central Station, the location is very convenient for sightseeing in Amsterdam. If you like to walk around while touring the location of the hotel is perfect, not too far out of Central A'dam you can walk to all the major places. I took the bus to and from Schiphol airport with no trouble at all and the bus stop was just a block from the Hotel! My single room was small and located in the basement of the hotel. My windows opened onto the green garden space behind the hotel which guests can use to relax and smoke. However, I'm not a smoker, and the fumes did enter my room. The room was very narrow, but had all the things I need to be comfortable including a small sitting area (table and chair) near the window so that I could enjoy the garden view. The room did not open onto the garden, but you could get there either via an adjacent hallway or through the upstairs dining area. I did not take breakfast at the hotel, but I did enjoy having a 24 hour open pantry for an even cup of tea and a morning coffee. Overall, I think the location of this hotel was the best part for me. The neighborhood is pretty and safe and I was able to walk to just about every place I wanted to go.

I booked a single room and the room was located in the basement next to a service area. Everyday the hallway was blocked with housekeeping carts and bins of used linens. It did not feel "welcoming" and often my hallway was semi-blocked by the hotel's equipment. I don't spend time in the hallway, so I guess it didn't really matter. My room was efficient but the bathroom was extremely small. I could not stand in the bathroom to dry my hair.

The room at first sight seemed small but it is a compact, efficient and comfortable use of space. We had plenty of space for our bags and items; well equipped ensuite and easy access to lift and reception. When we asked for extra hoovering, this was done willingly and straight away which was really good :) We did not eat at the hotel. Our stay was ideal & easy for where we wanted to be and go, inlcuding train and tram access. We walked everywhere:))

Not essential, but the shower looked worn out - head and temperature taps could be modernised; easily removed will be the few signs of mould on some of the tiles.

The location was super! A few minutes to the Vondelpark and also only 10-15 minutes to the city center. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The check in and check out went quick and smoothly.

The room was way smaller than expected but enough for me. It was also not soundproof. I had room number 4 on the ground floor and could hear either noises from the other guests or flushing sounds. I didn’t mind because I could still sleep well but consider that if you’re sensitive sleeper. Also the light from the hall went through the bottom slit of my door.

It was an ideal location very close to Liesdesplein with restaurants, bars, clubs, cafes and coffeeshops all within 10 mins walk. Tram and bus stops 5 mins walk providing links to the wider area (public transport is amazing here). The staff were great, and whilst they weren't always present, they could be easily contacted to answer any questions and had great technology to provide support. I felt welcome here, and everything was explained clearly. The cost - based on the quality of the hotel, the standards of maintenance and the location, the cost is more than value for money.

Just a small thing, but a few more coathangers would have been helpful.

Location is fantastic, especially if looking to explore the main museums. Even if looking to go further afield it's only a 15 minute or so walk into the centre of Amsterdam. The room was clean enough, the wifi was fine. Staff were friendly enough.

It was a bit frustrating not having a kettle or mini fridge in the room. Admittedly the rooms are fairly tiny (even for hotels). Speaking to a hologram in reception is a weird experience - not necessarily bad, but weird. It is costly, too. Maybe this is a function more of the Euro/Amsterdam than the hotel.

We loved the hotel! The staff were lovely and so accommodating, and the hotel front door locks at 4pm, so you have to use your keycard to get into the hotel which made us feel so safe and secure.. the rooms were small however we liked the fact that it wasn’t massive! The bathrooms were lovely and all modern- the bed was comfortable, and the front desk have more amenities if you don’t have any like travel adapters, toothbrushes and whatever else you need! Overall an amazing hotel, and we are already planning to come back to this hotel again soon!

Everything was great!

Absolutely fantastic location - you can trip and fall into Vondel Park and countless museums/restaurants etc. If you are a solo traveller then try to see if you can get room 16, which has its own private balcony. The staff are also super friendly and helpful! Overall the room was neat and tidy

Not dislikes per se, but rather observations - the timber structure in certain areas means that you can often overhear guests in the rooms above you. Likewise the walls are pretty thin, so you will often overhear things from adjacent rooms. The room is fairly small, but this is to be expected. I went during August and not having air conditioning can be a bit uncomfortable at times. The fan helps a lot, but you need to keep the balcony door open then and the mosquitoes come in. It would also be nice to have some form of coffee making facilities in the room

This hotel is excelent for long stays. It has elevator, good breakfast (It's 17 euro, "eat all you can" vibes), the staff is very helpful and the location is in Leidseplein (very close to the City Center). It's my second time in Amsterdam and I've choosen this hotel in both ocasions.

It doesn't have AC in the rooms. During the summer, it gets really hot. If you are going to Amsterdam during the Summer, don't choose this hotel, for the same level of price you can get hotels with the same quality and AC. But for any other period of the year, is pretty good.

Near to Airport Bus, Tram, boat dock Leidesplein, Museum, Shopping Area are within 5-8min walk Easy to reach Heineken Experience Building and old town by Tram Elevator in the hotel Breakfast was very good

Double Room was not clean at all and Window was open as we arrived in the evening. Therefore it was super cold in the Room. There was noone around to inform about that or to get another room Self Check is not that easy for elder people Single Room was super small, with a small bed (I'm not sure if the lenght of the bed was 2m), small Window which I could not reach.
