I stayed at a hostel during my trip to Amsterdam, and its location was excellent. It was peaceful and away from the city crowds, yet still close to major attractions like the Rijksmuseum. Dam Square was just a 10-minute tram ride away, and the nearby tram stop made getting around very convenient. Right outside the hostel is Vondelpark, which was perfect for morning walks and breakfast. There are also affordable markets nearby for shopping. Inside, the hostel was very clean. Although I stayed in a 10-person room, it felt spacious and comfortable. After checking out, I was able to explore the city freely, thanks to lockers that allowed me to store my luggage for up to 10 hours. The staff were friendly and always ready to help. I would definitely recommend this place.

The location, for the price, was excellent. We walked from Amsterdamcentraal train station, but there is also a direct streetcar that we could have taken. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was fine, with multiple coffee options, rolls, cheese, yogurt, cereal, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, pastries, juice, and fruit. The room was quiet at night and the beds comfortable. We also made the most of the free lockers to store our bags for the day after checking out and before our evening train. The clientele included children, young adults, and older adults -- with an age range of maybe 10-70.

Everything was fine, but it was a hostel, not a hotel, meaning that it was simple and we had to make our own beds with the provided linens. So if you want a fancy hotel, keep looking.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. I can only comment on the private, hotel-like rooms. Everything was comfortable and clean. Staff were kind and the lobby bar/cafe was a nice place to relax. We didn't really spend much time at the hostel throughout the day, so we didn't mind the basic, no frills approach. The best thing about this property is the location. We appreciated being in a more residential/local area, but still easily accessible to the Center and De Pijp by walking and tram. The airport bus is a 3 minute walk away and comes every 10 minutes. A no-brainer.

A few minor changes would make the private rooms more comfortable. Add hand towels and a shower mat. Also add towel hooks in the bathroom. For our specific dates, the price made sense to stay here. But it may not always make sense when comparing the price to a standard hotel.

VFM . the hostel is great. it has everything you need. tha staff and facilities are excellent. the location is very good, right next to a tram stop and close to the van gogh museum. Nice breakfast and nice price. Very good prices for everything.

the cleanliness could be better. the trash was emptied one day only. we stayed 3 nights. but with 5 people in the room it should be done every day. Also, with 5 people in the room the bathroom should at least be cleaned one more time. when we entered the room, it hadn't been swept. there was no toilet paper on the last day, and they didn't replace it for us. under my bed had dust (a lot). however, I believe that if we had asked them, they would have come to clean it, as everyone was very cooperative

Mattress was comfortable, bathroom was clean, staff were friendly and helpful, plenty of seating in the common area to hang out with the friends i came with who were in a different room, plus very convenient luggage storage at no extra cost post-checkout. Also in a great location for walking/taking the tram to most destinations in the city!

Wish the double bed had been an actual double bed rather than two twin beds pushed together, and wish there had been a proper chair in the room rather than just the two stools. The breakfast options weren't amazing either and I only had breakfast at the hostel one of the three mornings I was there.

so we were a group of 7 ladies ages between 40s and 50s, we did have a moment where we thought ohh god how are we going to get down from the top bunks but we managed, the bedding provided was clean and the beds were very comfy, for me to say that its not heard of very much. The location was perfect and it was next to a lovely park and close to great restaurants and bars. Obviously it was very basic but clean. Downstairs there was a place you could get your morning coffee and a cake, also chairs to relax if thats what you want. On departure we were able to leave our bags in a locker room for the day as we had a late flight and this was free of charge.

ummmm, nope, nothing to complain about really apart from the step down from the top bunk, it was like the bottom step was missing, but I'm sure the younger folk would not find this a problem.

Good location, good price.

There could be some sort of isolation between the beds and bathroom areas. And bring your own pillows if you are picky with that like me.

The location is very convenient as it js close to tram station and has many restaurants, bar and convenient shop nearby. The neighbour area is quiet and safe too. Overall, the room is quite spacious and has a locker for everyone to store their luggage (can fit small size standard luggage). There are many facilities include common area, restaurant, laundry room and lockers for storage prior to check in or after check out. Highly recommend for solo traveller!

The bed sheet has some old stain, should get cleaned properly. As the lockers and bathroom are located inside each room, therefore it is hard to avoid for some noise if someone arrive at late night or get up early. Earplugs should be provided.

Great place with great location! The common areas were my highlight with their nice furniture and overall vibe and the bar offers a great variety of drinks and snacks. The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff were really kind and helpful. We had a problem with the bus to the airport and one of the ladies on reception helped us with getting a cab. The location of the hostel is near the centre so we were close to a lot of highlights without using any kind of public transport.

The room was on ground floor so the light during the day was a bit sparse and the light from the pendant wasn't quite enough. The rent for the towels was a little weird for me as I never had to actually rent a towel anywhere until now but it's not a big deal. Nevertheless, this didn't spoil the overall experience and we had a great time.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and communicative. The shower and toilet facilities were very clean! The whole hostel area feels open and cozy. Everything you need and want to see around Amsterdam is in walkable distance, very convenient!

Only complaint would be: I had a room on the third floor, unlucky me, so my room got a little too warm for my taste with the good weather in Amsterdam. The windows don't open fully for safety reasons, so fresh air was a rare good in the room!
