This place is a great value for money! I arrived after 10 pm and still the check in was a breeze (thanks Adam - you were great!). The hotel is very decent, clean, and just very straightforward. Staff - very pleasant. Breakfast - is good. Elevator - yes, they have. Toilet and bath - clean and with hot water - quite spacious for my size. Room - clean and ready. They gave me a room with a window that I was able to open. Bed - soft and sheets are clean. Wifi - strong. The place is very quiet, safe neighborhood too. I just walked to anne frank for 20 minutes from the hotel, to Van Gogh in just 15 minutes, there’s a park just behind the hotel, restaurants, etc. very convenient. I would surely come back!

So easy to take a bus from the airport to reach the hotel (a few blocks from the stop)and the website gives great instructions on how to do it. Great location to reach major destinations plus easy to take the bus to others. The staff was wonderful, I can’t remember all the names but Michelle was superb! I traveled with friends and we loved meeting in the lounge or in the garden at the end of the day. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends!

The one negative- my friend left his electric toothbrush and when he called it had already been thrown out. He would have paid to have it mailed to him.

The room was neat and tidy, the bed very comfortable and it had a surprisingly big, updated bathroom.There was an elevator so there was no need to use the steep stairs. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. It was very central but in a very quiet location.There was a tram stop close by as well as bus stop direct to Schiphol airport. An easy walk to Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum. There are plenty of restaurants close by as well as a supermarket.

There was nothing that I didn't like.

This hotel provided the ideal level of service; the staff were friendly, informative, flexible, and attentive but never overbearing. The rooms and common areas were comfortable and clean; the breakfast was tasty, fresh, and covered all essential nutrient groups. Small details like the collection of decorative owls and the refreshing mint water provided freely in reception give the hotel its own unique personality also. The 24-hour reception cover was particularly welcome. The location was ideal for the visitor to Amsterdam, being situated perfectly between the bustling touristic centre and calmer inner suburbs of the city with extremely convenient access to transport options. Roemer Visscherstraat is an elegant, quiet, architecturally pleasing street, typical of this part of the city. Inside the hotel, a lift is provided, and the staircase, should one use it, is quintessential Amsterdam. Overall, I would strongly recommend this long-established hotel; the staff and proprietors are obviously very experienced at what they do, and this shows. I would happily stay here again, perhaps in the not too distant future.

The location is really good near the Museum quarter and very close to buses and trams, quiet neighbourhood but a lot of restaurants and cafés near by. Breakfast was excellent and there was a nice garden too - and even an hotel cat, Basil! The staff was very helpful and accomodating. Everything at the hotel is on the small side, it is not a new building, so don´t expect lots of space for clothes and bags, but that didn´t bother us. The bathroom obviously new and everything very clean and tidy.

You could hear a bit of sound from other rooms, the building is not very well noise-insulated, and maybe it could be a problem if some guests are noisy (which they weren´t when we stayed there). And there were some very noisy birds outside, (they sounded like ducks??) we really had to keep the window closed at night because of their screeches.

Location is excellent and the hotel is in a little quiet oasis away from the main traffic noise but still close to all the amenities and a really nice park close by. Staff really friendly and helpful. The receptionist gave us details on how to use the bus to the airport.....really simple and so much cheaper than using a taxi! We had breakfast twice, plenty of it and very fresh. The little garden area to sit out was a real bonus as was meeting 'Basil' the Hotels cat! The room was compact but had everything you needed. Good value for money compared with the other hotels in the same area. Would definitely stay again!!

Tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been nice but you could use the machine downstairs anytime.

A quiet and cozy hotel in a beautiful neighborhood right next to Vondelpark and only a less than 10-minute walk from the Rijksmuseum. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the fixtures in the bathroom looked really new. Enjoyed a simple, but hearty breakfast that catered to the pickiest of eaters. Last, but definitely not least, I have to give praise to the exceptionally friendly and warm staff.

The furniture in the room looked a bit worn out, but nothing major.

Easy reception, friendly and helpful staff, Breakfast fresh with fruit, eggs, cold meat and cheese as well as cereal, bread and pastries, yogurt. Be warned there are no cafes in the immediate vicinity. Perfect location, quiet but close to Leidseplein, Rijksmuseum and Conzertgebouw. Everythings pretty much walkable from the hotel.

Guest access to hot drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate , as we have had in Prague, Lisbon and the US would be a bonus.

It is very well located in the museum quarter with tram stop, restaurants nearby. It's a nice little hotel on a quiet street. The facilities were fine, bed was comfortable and there is a lift/elevator in the hotel. Reception was friendly.

My single room was small, maybe the others are ok. No electric kettle. It's pricey for the facilities. There is some construction work going on next door, but only in the daytime.

Had a great stay here hard to fault it. Staff were wonderful. Very friendly, informative and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and the area was quiet. The location was great, close enough to walk to everything but not on a main road. A beautiful park close by, a spar around corner, and easy access to trams. Breakfast was a good continental style. There is a small pretty garden at the back of property.

Only minor things, like maybe a few more hooks to hang things and the towels and the bath were quite small.
