I like the affordability and the simpleness of the room. We legit just needed a place to sleep. Friendly staff (over phone, never met in person but no complaints!) Checkin was easy, a simple call to get buzzed in, code for door keys and off we went. Check in time is odd hours 11am-3pm… so if you’re busy like us, we never officially checked in (or out). But owners were easy to contact via phone. It was surprisingly quiet, the beds were comfy enough, and opening the windows with the fans running was awesome at night. One lightbulb didn’t work & the shower sorta floods - but clean towels were provided each day and we didn’t need light as we were tired from the sightseeing and went straight to bed once getting into room.

Not much to complain about: minor thing that owners can’t do much about - parking. If you are driving there, there is no cheap parking anywhere. Street parking next to hotel is outrageous (7€ an hour), the closest parking lot is €68 for 24 hours. So be prepared. Also be prepared for a STEEP staircase climb to your rooms. Again, not a horrible complaint, just be prepared to lug a suitcase up a mountain. :) we giggled the whole way. Luckily we weren’t too drunk and made it up and down the stairs just fine.

We had a hotel reservation fall through and were able to easily book this hotel and the staff allowed for easy check-in. Location was perfect, right by all the museums and quiet at night. Room was clean and surprisingly spacious and the beds were comfortable. This hotel is great for if your visiting Amsterdam and just need a nice clean place to stay.

there are only very steep stairs available to get up to the rooms and unfortunately i fell down them a few times so if you stay here be very careful going up and down the steps especially with luggage! the bathroom also had a strange smell that wouldn’t go away

Though the entrance is little more than an unmarked door opening to a steep, narrow staircase, with no lobby to speak of, our room was bright, airy and clean. Our bathroom had been fully renovated with excellent fixtures, and the cleaning staff went so far as to mop the floors each day. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the keycard locks to the outside door and room felt very secure. We enjoyed our spacious family sized room, and the location is among the best in Amsterdam, right by the museums and Vondelpark and walkable to every corner of the city, yet with a tram stop around the corner offering direct routes to central and zuid stations.

Long, narrow stairs might be difficulty for some travellers. While the room safe was secure, I wish it had been large enough to fit my laptop.

It's located in a nice neighborhood surrounded by tons of fancy shops. In the evenings the street quiets down nicely, but if you're looking for something to do there are plenty of bars not far away. It was perfect for what my friends and I were looking for. A little tight but overall a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and understanding.

The location is perfect, is close to everything and in a pretty zone that is not extremely crowded. The staff was outstanding, they were really helpful and friendly.

The shared bathroom is located in a lower floor so you would have to go down all the time, but they do have rooms with private bathrooms.

The location was absolutely perfect, very central and close to transportation. The room we got was on the top floor with a skylight. It was my first time sharing a bathroom, and I wasn't too sure how that would go, but it was totally fine. The toilet and shower are separate and very clean. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. My room had a sink which was very helpful. Warning there are a ton of steep and narrow steps, so if you have difficulty going up stairs you might want to consider this location However, it's typical of older buildings in the center of Amsterdam, and once you make it to your room you're fine. Bed was comfy and I got a good night sleep.

the check-in system is a major issue. we showed up and found the front door locked—there’s only someone there for part of the day. there was a number on the front door (same as the one provided by booking.com) and nobody answered when we called. we were ultimately let in after banging on the door. however, there was a mistake and our key cards became disabled after the first of several nights. this resulted in us returning on the second day to find we were locked out of the building. fortunately, the phone number was answered *the second time we called*, but this was still a significant issue. there should always be someone at the hotel, or at the very least, a number that is reliably answered.

Amazing location, close to the main touristic spots, we did everything by foot. Daily cleaning service. Very cute decor. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Few stairs, narrow steps, little bit dangerous. Carpet all over the place (it might be an issue if you’re allergic like me). The shower has no glass, only some curtains and it’s at the same level as the toilet floor, so the bathroom gets really wet.

When all you need is a comfortable, safe place to sleep in a superb location; this is the place for you. It was clean, beds were comfortable, staff were great and amenities were as advertised. Its a 3 star accommodation on a very fancy street very conveniently located to museums and great restaurants. Highly recommend.

Slightly better black out curtains in summer would be nice - it's only dark between 11pm and 5pm - but only a minor issue.

Good value for money. Good position in the museum district, close to vondelpark too. about 20 minutes from red light district. room was clean, small private bathroom but can't ask too much for what we paid. Check with them if your room has a private bathroom before booking as some rooms don't have it and you will have to use a shared one. No complaints, if your gonna be in the city for a couple days and just need a place to sleep this is great. No elevator so be ready for typical Amsterdam stairs, two floors at least.
