Location is excellent. The breakfast is good, typical of the Dutch breakfast. The staff will bring you your own bottle of coffee in the morning with some cheese and a boiled egg. You also have good selection of sandwich, bread, fresh fruit, milk, and yogurt. The dining room has good view over the museum nearby.
The toilet in the attic floor is very small and not very clean. I wish they had some disinfectant there to clean the toilet seats too. The hotel is near streets, so quite difficult for me to sleep as I could hear cars' and trams' sounds. I also found the room a bit cold and had to wear my jacket when sleeping.

Location was amazing close to everything and in a nice area. Room was very clean and bright. Bed was very comfortable and they even had extra blankets. Breakfast was also really good like a breakfast you would have at home. Overall it was a great stay.
Toilets were very tiny and it was very difficult to move around. It is also good to be beware that stairs are very steep. It was okay for me but with a heavy luggage it can be difficult.

Excellent location, within walking distance to nearest tram stop, museum attractions, and the city center. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city center directly in the affluent neighbourhood. The staff were great. I met almost everybody during my one week stay. Onne did a wonderful job in hospitality and provided me with an extension cable for my computer. Frankie was very friendly, very funny and informative about local attractions. Sophie is also a wonderful person. All in all, 10/10 for hotel staff. For a one star hotel, I was not expecting the facilities to be great. I was delighted to find the bathrooms were always clean, towels and bed sheets were replaced regularly, and body soap was provided for the stay. All the lights, heating, and electricity in the room was working fine. My favourite spot in the lounge is a seat directly facing Museumplein - right next to the eggs and sausages for breakfast!
Be prepared to hand carry luggage all the way up the stairs!

The hotel is centrally located, I really liked the cozy room and the living room for guests’ common use is very nice and beautiful. The window views on both sides are stunning - you can see Rijksmuseum and other houses. It is 5 minutes away from the nearest tram stop so all the city attractions are easily reachable. The room was very clean, nice comfy bed and an additional thick duvet was in the room in case it’s cold. Theres also a hair dryer in the room which I did not need this time but thought I would - very convenient. The showers and toilets are on the floor and are also very clean and convenient. I especially liked the design of the rooms. The members of the staff are very friendly, helpful and are always there to answer your questions and offer their assistance. The stairs are steep and narrow and there is no elevator which might be important to mention for those who have difficulties with stairs in general. I am usually not the biggest fan of stairs either, but I found it easy to walk up and down, had no issue with that. Just got to be careful and slow then it’s totally fine! I also found it cool to experience living in an older Kind of traditional Dutch building - all including the smaller spaces and the classic steep stairs! The carpets are everywhere and it’s very pleasant to walk around. What I also loved is that there were fresh tulips in the living room. If you wake up early enough you can also see some parrots in the trees right from your window. I would like to thank the lovely members of the staff and the hotel for my amazing stay, also special thanks for my dust allergy needs adjustments/extra cleaning. I will surely stay at Museumzicht again in the future, looking forward to my next Amsterdam trip!
I liked everything, theres simply nothing to dislike about this one

The location is unparalleled; in front of the Rijksmuseum, you won't have any crowd noise (except trams) in the evening despite being close to whatever activity you're looking for. Staff is extremely cordial and respectful. The building is very well decorated (very dutch) and the hall feels like a last century cafe. Price is great and facilities (shower and bathroom) work well, didn't have any problem. Free coffee and tea is served throughout the day which is amazing.
Not much, stairs are steep but it adds to the proper "dutch" experience so not a real complaint.

Amazing place! I don't understand why it's so cheap, i thought it's a mistake. Excellent location close to city center, the while place has such an authentic vibe and is maintained superbly. You can feel that you are in a historical building with a soul and a beating heart! The breakfast room looks like a fairy-tale, like you stopped for tea with some high ranking merchant in the 1700s. Free delicious coffee and tea anytime is a really nice touch!! The room itself was a big surprise - very spacious by Ams standards. Super clean and very cozy, large window, the bed was so comfy and no noise coming from outside. Compliments to the housekeeping staff, and the really nice Croatian lady who checked me in - lovely experience. Can't wait to be back.
Everything was superb. You need to book this place now!

We loved our stay here. The personnel were really sweet and attentive. Our room was quite small but it isn’t a problem for us. Its an old building with very narrow stairs so maybe not the most suitable for everyone. Room and the toilet was clean. It was also super warm inside the room and we didn’t have any problems. The tea room was lovely. Location is amazing since its super close to both Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum and it wasn’t hard to walk to other places. If you are looking for a cosy place thats close to central areas and not looking for luxury this is a great place for the price.
Disposable slippers could be provided.

Incredible location next to the Rijksmuseum on the tram line. You feel the history of the place since it is registered and can't be changed or renovated without city authorization. A window into the past. Very friendly owner/concierge who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local transit and places to visit. Best night's sleep with fresh air and high ceilings. Went in May so weather was cool.
The stairs to the third floor (for US) are typical Amsterdam, very narrow and a steep climb. Not for those with mobility issues or heavy suitcases or the faint of heart.

Amazing location in the museum district. Everything was accessible via walking or public transportation (bus or tram). The continental breakfast was decent, but the breakfast room views were even better. The water temperature was great, you get instant hot water. Drinking tap water from the sink took some getting used to but turned out great. Hotel room views were good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.
We had to buy shampoo because only shower gel was provided and it was very drying to use on your hair. It can get pretty noisy, so we used the portable fan in the closet to drown out some of the noise (creaky stairs, thin walls, bustling city outside). The stairs were a workout that took some getting used to. We were always out of breath by the time we reached our room.

I LOVED the location. I walked everywhere but there's trains and metro nearby too. Not too busy yet still close to everything. I like the old building, and the (small but more than enough) individual attic room. I like that I have my private sink (bathroom.shower shared). Great views from my little window. And I love that they have coffee & tea service all day for everyone, including some biscuits. I also enjoy that tea room for a little break from the rain. The shared bathroom wasn't an issue (even though it might be a bit small for big people, but it was ok). Shower was warm.
The carpet in the room wasn't clean, at least not thoroughly. I could see it, and also I could feel allergies as soon as I closed the attic window and go to bed. I am not saying the staff does not clean, I am sure they do, but the carpet needs more care. Also, just because it's an old building, be expected to hear everyone nearby when they leave their room.
