Johnny and Goran were very welcoming. The location was great with lots of cafes, shopping options and a lovely park at the end of the street. It was close to buses and trams but also within walking distance of Amsterdam Centraal. We could watch the world go by on the street below our window over a cup of tea at the end of the day, eat in our room or go out for food. The little refrigerator was perfect for what we needed too. This is a typical Dutch house with a very steep staircase. Something to keep in mind if you have large suitcases. We arrived early but Goran was happy to store our bags for us and took them up to our room when it was ready.

We chose to stay on the hottest July day on record where it was difficult for even the fan to keep anything cool.

Everything - Johnny is so professional- he made sure to contact me a couple of days before my arrival to set my expectations about booking a reservation and everything and that made me feel comfortable to ask questions! - Goran is beyond amazing, he is the perfect host and so welcoming. Also, he helped me with my luggage. - The room is fully equipped- the Nespresso machine made my day!

- steep stairs, but Goran helps with the luggage so no big deal - they request the credit card details including the CVV number as a guarantee which is not something ok for me. - I am not sure if was this by the accommodation or booking, but they charged me with an extra 40 Euros

The room was lovely and comfortable, very clean no complaints. The stairs are very steep as a few other reviews have said but it wasn’t an issue for me or my partner. The location is a bit of a walk from the centre but again not an issue and the street it’s located is lovely you can get all you need if you didn’t want to travel too far. The only thing I could suggest is maybe a better fan for the room as on the 2 nights we stayed it was 30 degrees and it did get unbearably hot I know the heat isn’t too often in amsterdam but it would have made the night a little more comfortable but still that’s not a complaint just a suggestion. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. The hosts were very friendly, we dropped our bags off at 10am check in isn’t until 2 they already put our bags in our room when we popped back in the afternoon. Also on arrival we got given a map and little book with things to do and given recommendations on places to eat.

Yes, there are two flights of stairs, but they're pretty normal by Amsterdam standards. I didn't have any trouble, but I can imagine a big bag would be a challenge. Bed wasn't entirely my taste, but I would love to stay here again anyway!

The heating was on only when we checked in. Then it was turned off centrally, apparently, because before going to bed we tried to increase the heating in the room in every possible way, but all in vain. (We didn't want to bother the guys with our messages late). It became colder and colder, and the next evening the radiator was completely cold.

Location is really good on a street with many shops and restaurants, and it's a nice 10 min walk into the city center. Communication was also good with Johnny via WhatsApp. Bed was very comfortable. Small fridge for storing essentials.

Wasn't an issue for us, but walls/doors are thin and you might hear your "neighbours" pretty well.

Only drops a point because no lifts and hence, not accessible to everyone. This is common for this region of the world but nonetheless, cannot give a 10 if inaccessible to some.

Nice homely feel with a very pleasant room. The en suite was compact but more than adequate with nice towels and plenty of toiletries. The bed was comfortable and sleeping was easy. Lovely area away from red light district.

No complaints about any aspect of this accomodation. The stairs were steep but that's what these houses are like.

Location was really excellent. For us, it couldn't have been better. Easy to get to the station or the centre of town, but quiet enough that we slept in the first morning! That might also have been because the bed was so comfortable though. Oh, and there's a coffee machine - very important!

The stairs - but they are normal for a traditional town house around here and we were pre-warned about them.

Having a comfortable bed and a private bathroom in the area was so nice! The kettle was a nice touch, and the cleaning service was excellent.

The coffee machine didn’t work and, although no a/c is typical in Europe, the heat in the room was really uncomfortable, especially at night.
