It was well located in Amsterdam, it was easy to access public transit and tourist sites, but was away from the crush of tourism. The bed was comfortable, and there was just the right amount of space for a couple. The host was kind and friendly.

The air-conditioning is a portable unit that requires sticking the tube out the window. But that means you can't close the window, so mosquitos get inside, and without a seal, its really energy inefficient. Having the AC unit was important on hot days, but it would function better if it was set up with the window seal so bugs didn't get in when it was needed. It was still a good place to stay, but this aspect seemed not very well thought out.

Friedrich was a lovely host, welcoming us to the room and giving us a brief tour. The boat is located in a beautiful location, within a short walk of the busy centre, which consist of small neighbourhoods, lined with fantastic architecture and amazing little pubs! The houseboat itself is very cosy. Warm, very clean and everything worked well. Don’t expect an abundance of room, this is a cosy stay, perfect for what we wanted. Somewhere nice to put our head down for the night before exploring each day. It was the perfect location.

we loved the window where we could look out and the swans came right up to the window . owner was very friendly and helpful. would recommend . it is a houseboat so it's compact . the bed was super comfortable . we had everything we needed .

The houseboat was such a great place to stay in Amsterdam! Friedrich was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the city! It was a good location to the city too. Always lovely and warm in there and we were able to control the temperature as we liked.

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows weren’t great!

The place was so cute and cozy and got to feel more like a local. Nearby to a lot of what I wanted to see and the famed vegan bakery.

The stairs are a little steep down so don’t overpack otherwise carrying your luggage down can be challenging.

Due to this being my first time abroad, I didn’t know what to expect. But this house boat was amazing, only small but everything we needed.

The only issue I had was the stairs down into the house boat due to my sight, this wouldn’t be a problem for anyone else.

Aircon was great but would have loved a fan too to keep the air moving ( very hot weather when we were there). Fridge too small for a bottle of wine 😃

We loved being on a canal…very unique! The location was perfect…close to Central Station, the Anne Frank House, a grocery store and several restaurants. We enjoyed meeting Freidrich, the host, and found the accommodations, although spartan, to be adequate for our needs.

It was a nice central location. Very close to all the tourist attractions, but the host pointed out the nearby "alternative" interesting area of the city which we also explored. It was fun to try a houseboat for a change and the furnishing is a lovely eclectic mix of vintage and modern. Nice restaurant right next to the houseboat too.

Great location and Freidrich was great too! Although the houseboat is literally a room with a small bathroom to one side, it's perfect for a 2-3 night stay. The bed is comfortable and the room wants for nothing, no frills essentials but spot on. There is a cafe/restaurant about 20 seconds walk away which is a perfect way to start your day with a breakfast and end your day with a drink or 2. We'd definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Nothing to complain about! Although it's basic, it wants for nothing. We'll definitely stay there again
