Lovely hotel, very well located train station was 5 minute walk and had access to city centre as well as other areas. Rooms are great, the view was very nice from our room, house keeping was done everyday and rooms were kept clean. The breakfast was AMAZING a lot of options. We also used the spa and it was clean and well-kept. Staff are very helpful and was available 24.7. Will definitely re-visit.

Amenities were 10/10. Pictures do not do it justice, the rooftop pool and spa centre was amazing and beat all expectations! Food was great, as was location, only 4 minutes from the metro. Take the M15 for 7 stops which takes you straight into Amsterdam Central in 15 minutes.

Only negative, I took my brother away for his birthday and after I decorated the room I called reception requesting a cake or breakfast platter that I was willing to pay for.. She then proceeded by trying to sell me a £50 package of a card, ballons & banner (which I already had) after I kindly declined she directed to the bar to ask if they sold apple pies. The bar along with reception is located on the ground floor and our room was on the 12th. Nothing against her she was friendly and just doing her job, but when you pay that much to stay somewhere they should prioritise guests needs and do there best to make experiences special!

The only thing i did not like and this might be only a personal for most people which is the colors of the walls is black. Made the room very dark. This is very dependent on the people some might like it. And some will not. I did not like living in a very dark black room. And this might be the only reason that will make me change to another Hotel next to Van der Valk. In the same area. I wish the make a choice to paint some room in bright natural colors. So people will have a choice.

This hotel is well located within a 5 minute walk to the metro station around the city. Great that there are restaurants and a bar. The spa was absolutely lovely and we made the most of it during our short stay. There were also gluten/wheat free available options available on request which I appreciated. The staff were very polite and helpful the entire time which made this easy and comfortable. Gorgeous views across the river, we even saw a few party boats float by during the national holiday!

Unfortunately we had to wait some time for our room to be ready when we arrived. When it was available our room had an unpleasant stench that stayed for hours, making the room unbearable to stay in. Thankfully the hotel staff were helpful in moving us to a different room quite quickly. And though it was smaller than what we had originally booked and paid for we were offered other compensation so as not to ruin our stay.

A fabulous hotel with such beautiful decor, facilities and attention to detail. There was everything we needed in the room including a fridge, drink making facilities and glasses. The spa was stunning we used it every day throughout our stay. It’s not huge but all the facilities are great and it’s clean. The outdoor pool is lovely and refreshing, the sauna and steam room were lovely and all well maintained. You can hire a robe and slippers at reception for €5 which was good. The location was perfect you can see the metro station from the hotel and it’s not too far from the centre of Amsterdam about 20 mins, it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle. Also there’s 24 hour pizza available and it was delicious! You can also hire bikes from the hotel which we did one day and had a ride into the centre of Amsterdam which was a good experience.

As soon as you enter the hotel it smells delightful. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful thoughtful through the stay. The restaurant has such a wonderful cozy, cool vibe and the food was delicious! I had the cheese stick, loaded fries with onions rings and cheese burger. Anything I try never disappointed at all especially the drinks. I love and appreciate being place on the 3rd floor with the amenities: spa, pool, handicap and the space in the most gorgeous decorated room I ever been in

The hotel should inform handicap about the area, the lift doesn't work at the main stop, getting to the hotel was a hassle. Since I'm not from area all staff should know and inform guests and the main metro train stop. Also how much a taxi would be from the airport to hotel but in a van due to my wheelchair. The hotel area was block off not allowing my wheelchair to get through to the train which would take 5 minutes but instead of 25minutes to get to the stop. When you travel with a wheelchair you'll have to go over a bridge and walk pass this abandoned building which I didn't like going passed at night. Loved this hotel, very comfortable, clean, modern, breakfast buffet was excellent. Our room was on the top floor with great views, very comfortable bed and a spa bath that was very relaxing. Mini fridge in the room too, thats always a bonus! The spa was very nice, considering the size of the hotel it wasn't ever that busy when we used it and the areas were all nicely kept. Recommend getting the 12.50 spa pack for the robe, slippers and cute mini toiletries. Location is great, metro is a minute walk away and goes straight into the centre. Would definitely stay here again!

The ONLY thing i would say is I don't think children should be allowed in to the actual spa area (steam room, saunas etc)...I'm sure it doesn't happen a lot but it did when we were there...no shade to the children or parents , they were not badly behaved, but its just not very relaxing being around children in that environment!

The room was spacious enough for a couple, clean. The restaurants in the hotel are very welcoming and elegant; breakfast was really delicious and the honeycomb was a really sweet surprise for breakfast 😊

We were disappointed to find the water in the pool( located outside) was really chilly considering the cold weather this time of the year. Welness- small area Windy weather is leading to a a noise disturbance coming the big window ( on higher floors) Charging us for bathrobs and slippers was again a surprise. But considering that we paid €10/ pers for both ( €5 to be refunded later), was not that bad🫤

Property was clean and beautifully decorated. Easy access to the metro to go into central Amsterdam. Spa was lovely, roof pool was nice although a bit too cold.

The lifts were a nightmare. Stood for 10 minutes waiting for the lift, every time it stopped there was no room for me inside. Would liked to have taken stairs but couldn’t find them, only emergency exits. Spa was packed out at 9pm, one of the steam rooms was out of order so had to wait a while to get a space in the steam or sauna. People full on snoring on the sofas and beds in the spa, made me feel uncomfortable. Not massively keen on the black ceilings, looked nice in the evening but felt seedy in the morning

I would have liked if i had gone there. But the visa was not given on time and still pending.

The hotel has given me the option to change the dates rather cancelation without penalty. Since I have not received any reply from the embassy of Netherlands in regard to the visa Grant, i asked the hotel if i can I keep the dates open for selection? If so great, otherwise i asked them to please Consider my tentative dates in the month of December. But they didn't listen to my request, they charged me the no show penalty which is rude!! because clearly i mentioned that the visa in not in my hand. So i requested to consider my case. But though Tom gave me some hope but he charged me the big amount for nothing. They would have given the room to some one else.
