The area where the hotel is located always has a calm and peaceful atmosphere. It's perfect for those who want to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of city life while staying close to nature. Yet, the city center is just a 15-minute bike ride away, so there's no inconvenience at all. What truly makes this place special is the host. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I said she is one of the kindest women in the Netherlands. I was completely satisfied with everything she did, and I would honestly choose this hotel again just to see her. Be sure to rent a bicycle during your stay—just a short ride around the area will make you fall in love with the Netherlands all over again. You’ll even come across adorable cows and ducks along the way. As a Japanese guest, I was also pleasantly surprised to find a Japanese painting displayed in the room. It made me feel warmly welcomed. I was also really happy when she recognized me and kindly said hello when we happened to run into each other at the supermarket.

Lovely hostess, very helpful and welcoming. Place was quiet, clean, comfortable and had all basic necessities in place. Room even has an AC for very warm days, and a small tv if you need one. Gorgeous forest area right behind the property which is great for morning walks. The neighbourhood is safe, quiet and neat, just what i wanted for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was nice and simple - coffee, milk, muesli, honey and some local bread.

While the place is quite close to a bus station and relatively close to the central train station, transport options on weekends or late nights can be limited, so you may need to hire a car or rent a bicycle (super bicycle friendly town, and it's great to cycle around - a bicycle can be rented from the host themselves, so it's very convenient). Also, there are 2 rooms on the same floor and if you sleep light, you might be woken up by the folks in the other room (for example, when they use the coffee machine outside etc).

It was an enjoyable stay in this place. The room was large, air-conditioned, and well-equipped (the room was located on the first floor). The bed was very comfortable. WiFi worked very fast, and Netflix was available on the TV. Shared kitchen and fridge. The property is located in a quiet area, in the south of Eindhoven. You will easily find a parking place for your car. There is also a bus stop nearby. The host was very nice and always helpful.

I had an amazing stay! Carolien and Ellen are some of the kindest and most thoughtful hosts I’ve ever met. They made me feel truly at home. When I said I wanted to try something traditional from the Netherlands, they even made it for me — such a lovely and generous gesture! The place was extremely clean, cozy, and clearly cared for with love. I was incredibly happy with everything. If I ever come back to the Netherlands, I’ll definitely visit them again. Highly recommended!

All the comforts of a hotel in a quiet suburb. Dishes were cleaned by the host, there were fresh towels delivered every other day, good shower, comfy bathroom with 2 sinks, comfortable bed with different pillows to suit all styles. Snacks and coffee on the house. Quiet neighborhood. Free high speed internet and Netflix guest account.

Loved the room and the overall facilities, which included a good pantry for coffee/tea and incidentals. This is a house converted into a B&B on the 1st floor with the host, Carolein, staying on the ground floor. Carolein, was very friendly and was responsive to all our questions. She also prepared a nice breakfast. Would love to stay here again!

The location was easily reachable by bus. The place was impecable and Carolien was a delighful host. There were bikes available for rent, super practical, and the breakfast was very local and delicious. Overall had a great time, will deffinitely stay again there if I'm at Eindhoven again.

Spotless, everything I needed for my trip. Peaceful location. Carolien, owner, very friendly and went out of her way to give me a lift when public transport was unavailable.

Restful and clean, De Heidestroper was the perfect option for me. There is a lot to love from Caroline's kindness to the breakfast. Couldn't recommend it more even if you're in need of being in the centre of town. The bike routes were easy to use, as were the buses. A nice touch is I gradually found that breakfast began to change every morning to my preferences. I mentioned I liked boiled eggs, I then received two in the morning from then on. Same with the bread and fruit. I know it seems like a trivial element to the stay, but it made a difference for me for some reason. The surrounding area is great to explore. The lakes behind the house were a wonderful walk and the streets are filled with unique architecture.

I know there is nothing that is perfect but I genuinely can't think of much that could practically be improved. It was exactly what I desired/paid for and a bit more.
