I liked the location just barely outside of the center of town, and only ten minutes' walk in the other direction to my grand baby! We could walk everywhere. The lobby was a good place to have a cup of coffee in the morning before the rest of my crowd woke up. We enjoyed drinks in the bar a few times after a busy day walking and visiting Keukenhof, Delft and Den Haag. The rooms were quite comfortable with a little terrace overlooking a park and the town.

It was a tad chilly, though sunny, and I would have LOVED for the fireplace in the lobby to have been lit. If it doesn't work, then gas logs would be a great addition. It's a magnificent old fireplace.

The mini-suite was roomy, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself is very nice, located within walking distance to the centrum and a brief bus ride from the train station. Zocher, the restaurant attached to the hotel is a great choice for dinner. The resident cat is friendly, but a cat, so be prepared to be ignored. I highly recommend both Carlton Square Hotel and staying in Haarlem.

There really wasn't anything not to like - the hotel services were great. The room was spacious and the hotel very conveniently located to a lot of restaurants, churches, and bus stop.

We ordered room service for day one but it did not arrive. This made us late for our day of plans due to waiting over an hour but then being told to go down to the restaurant by which point most items had been put away although the kitchen did make us some food.

Really spacious bedroom and bathroom, good facilities like coffee machine and kettle, fridge, separate shower and bath, decent hairdryer, nice cosmetic products including conditioner and body lotion, comfortable chairs for relaxing in room. Bed set back from the rest of the room. Bus stop around the corner with public transport -so easy to use and people v helpful.

I was traveling many times to Haarlem, but it was my first experience at this hotel. I'm so happy with my choice, the room was so comfortable, staff are so friendly, delicious food and breakfast. I stayed 4 nights without any complaints. 15 minutes to walk city center, location great, my recommendation book with breakfast. Definitely, I will stay again at Carlton Square Hotel when I visit Haarlem .. recommended 👌

perfect location, right by a bus stop for easy access from the airport, but also a quick walk to museums and cafes. the location was also great for getting to other cities as well. the hotel was also very quiet, so no street noise to speak of. many dutch hotel rooms are very small but our room was spacious and comfortable.

the wifi was a little slow, but that's not much of a problem.

This hotel is perfectly located just a few minuts walk . .from the historical center of beautiful Haarlem many cafes and restaurants are within a short walking distance. The hotel is very comfortable,

The bed was not super comfi, but I managed to get a good sleep, as all the other conditions (quietness) were perfect.

The staff was nice, the room was large and breakfast was very good. A really nice hotel to stay in but about a 20 minute walk back to the center

Some people might not like the fact that they have to walk about 15 minutes back to the center. It really didn’t bother me. The only thing is exciting when you’re in the center. But it’s hotels in a nice area by a beautiful park. It is a very nice setting.

Deluxe room with free mini bar, large room and very comfortable bed. Hotel bar excellent (not like a hotel bar at all). Staff very welcoming and friendly. Location excellent - close to some really nice restaurants, quiet location next to a park, 15 minute walk to centre of Haarlem old town and Grote Market.

Spare bed left in room - could have been removed but not a major issue. Balcony is tiny - only room for one to stand (again, no issue for us really).

We chose this property because of its fantastic proximity to Keukenhof Gardens, which we bicycled 9 miles to the first day of our stay here (well worth it!) The hotel is ideally situated near everything in Haarlem’s old city center and we loved it! The property itself was beautiful, too: situated in a quiet neighborhood, it has a great lobby, attractive restaurant with wonderful breakfast buffet and tasty dinner. Our room was excellent too, with a small balcony and sitting area. The staff was also efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay there.
