Perfect location for me as it is on walking distance to my work. Love the room and its view, the good bed -always sleep well- and the fact that is is really quiet. Have not used the breakfast. Also love the fact that families and young people are around with great positive energy.

You have to be aware that it is a youth hostel which does not have a regular restaurant. So, when large groups are there or the place if fully booked, they serve a buffet dinner. It's probably good, but finished is finished. As this was the case on all my evenings, one time I could order a pizza (not recommended) and once the nachos (very nice). But, five minutes walk further up, there are plenty of cafés and restaurants if you need something else.

The location of this hostel is perfect, very close to the city center, a 10 min walk, near the river. I stayed there during the carnival celebration, and it was calm and quiet. I loved that. Staff were very friendly. The room was clean, new, and convenient with a locker. A big nice common area. I had a pleasant first time hostel stay!

Everything was excellent! I only would have appreciated that the check-out time would have been 11 am instead of 10 am, but that is just personal preference.

The location of the hostel is great as it's right in the city center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left my luggage there to join a walking tour and came back after check-out. I was very grateful that the hostel opened very late as I took the bus and arrived at around 11:40 PM and they welcomed me warmly. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. I cannot recommend this hostel enough!

Nothing to tell since I was there for one night only. I guess it is the nature of a hostel with guests arriving and leaving in the middle of the night.

That was my first time travelling solo as a female and booking a mixed dorm. It was predominantly occupied by male guests and as I told the receptionist about my concerns I have only found out that she clearly was not trained to solve conflict situations. Her attitude and the body language were distant and non-empathetic. I was ready to go to Novotel without any refund rather than staying there. At the end everything was alright and I stayed there.

Great location - right next to the canal and the public park, 15-20 mins into the city centre and 25 mins to the station. Clean, quiet, comfortable. All beds have linen/charging points and lights. Small lockers and room under the beds for luggage. Friendly staff. Ensuite shower and toilet separated.

Double check your booking with the place as mine didn’t process from booking.com. They found my reservation on the booking.con system but not their system - they were able to allocate me a room etc but just took and while and might have been an issue if they were booked out. There are pretty much no young people here it’s mostly older travellers/business people.

I think for the price you pay and for knowing it is a hostel, it was really good value for money. The rooms were tidy, neat and the bathroom is all you need. The area is AMAZING, really... it is BY the water, BY stadpark, I am not sure how you would get there other than by foot from the train station, but I luckily didn't have a lot of bags and it is not very far, but it is really walking distance to the "touristic" centre I would say, it takes you no time to get anywhere. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, there was always someone at the reception and they were always friendly (and I know that working this type of job, you don't always FEEL friendly, but they did not show it, they were really nice).

- The pillow is really bad... haha, the bed is comfy and all, but that pillow is just bad. I guess these places might be afraid that you might steal a pillow or something, but I cannot imagine anyone being able to sleep comfortably on such a light, lumpy pillow. I had to fold it two and a half times, just to be able to have my head slightly lifted from the mattress; - There was one American person who decided to wake us all up at 01:30 because someone slept on "her" bed, or something, but that is not the hostel's fault... but it is something you should consider when booking a bed in a hostel.

I stayed in StayOkay in Amsterdam, and thought it was really good, so I knew what to expect Rooms are regular- a bit basic, but fine. However the common areas are the best- lots of places with nice couches to hang out, good bar and a really nice terrace on the river. The staff were quite nice and friendly, and it was really quiet.

A little bit out of the center. Personally I like it when there are curtains on the bed in the dorm room.

Room was quite clean, spacious considering this was in a hostel and had a very nice river view (very pretty at night)

We had dinner served at their restaurant one of the night - 1. The information leaflet and the reception staff stated that the dinner is served from 6pm onwards but actually it was 7pm. 2. The food was cold. from chicken to pitta to chips. not a single item was even warm which made the dinner not so pleasant.

This hostel is in an excellent location with easy walking distance to the city center. Also, being along the Maas makes this an added bonus. The facility is very well maintained and the lounge area and terrace in the back overlooking the river makes this seem like you are staying in a luxury hotel. This is the best Stayokay I've stayed in the Netherlands.

The location of the hostel is close to perfect, a little over 20 minutes' walk from the main station but close to the historic city walls (the city centre is little more than 5 minutes' walk, across the park), next to the municipal park and right on the riverfront (I think the building is a converted yacht club). The hostel is spotless throughout and each dormitory has its own bathroom. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a comfortable common area with games (including table football) and a large riverfront terrace (smoking permitted) with great views. There is also a tap for refilling water bottles. The beds are comfortable and the plastic mattress protectors have a cotton centre. Each bed has its own power point and reading light, with a net bag for personal possessions. There are reasonably-sized lockers within the dormitories, but these require a padlock for the security-minded. The hostel also boasts a bar and restaurant (buffet breakfast with a wide range of options and unlimited tea or coffee for €9.50, snacks and pizza served throughout the day and dinner options 6-8pm). On my second (and last) morning, the sun was shining and I was able to enjoy breakfast on the terrace.

There are no tea or coffee making facilities here (the coffee at the bar costs €2.75 and is excellent) and no privacy curtain (although the "head" end of the bed is boxed in) - this was an issue on my first night as one of my room mates had his reading light on all night and I struggle to sleep in a lit room. Otherwise, I would struggle to find fault and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
