Great location; just short walk to town center. Immaculately clean and modern updated facilities. The kitchen has a stovetop (hob), fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave and is fully equipped with cutlery, dishwater, classes and cooking and serving utensils. Comfortable bed with nice clean linens. David the owner is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately during our stay and just before he had a succession of entitled and demanding guests and he was a little rattled. Having spent a career in customer service I admire his patience. Please ignore the negative reviews in late December; they are not true.

Very helpful staff. Clean n tidy place. Only issue was that in the area most restaurants close by 8pm and very limited options of food. Unfortunately I feel we can’t help much as most places out of Auckland is same regarding food. So no complaints. But the stay at olive motel was great. Walking distance to town. They do have barbecue facility. Thank you for the two days of relaxing holiday at the ‘relax’room

The olive motel was an awesome place and a great fit for us. The room has everything you need and more. Lovely shower and bathroom and the bed was a treat. Also it was neat that they had Netflix etc as well. Very close to the town center so you could easily walk there and back. Overall awesome stay. Thank you olive motel. Will definitely be back 😁

This one of the nicest motels rooms we have encountered. Clean-modern-well kept-nicely equipped-and nicely furnished. Recently we have encountered worn and over used rooms, but this room was a true stand out. It was truly awesome. There was even coin laundry and a gas BBQ available for guests.

There was not much to not like about this room. It really more than met our need during our two night stay. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Location was great. Dedicated parking. Rooms were nice. Separate sleeping spaces throughout suite. Stovetop and refrigerator provided. Laundry services onsite. Quiet facility. Manager? Was very pleasant to interact with.

Shower leaked a lot, jets didnt work. Spa was broken. no information booklet in room. No checkin after 8pm without express permission from owner/not a 24x7 hotel which caused a little travel stress but otherwise all was well.

The owner David was awesome, he is so kind and is doing such an awesome job running the place. So clean and comfortable, and so peaceful and quiet. Perfect spot for relaxation. It is also the perfect location if you’re wanting to be close to Coromandel town, just a 2 minute walk down to the Main Street which was so convenient. We are so happy with our stay and will definitely be coming back!

The owner was very friendly and the rooms were the cleanest we have been in. Lovely modern facilities and quiet, we didn't even realise we had a neighbour. Would highly recommend this Motel.

The motel was in such a nice location, super central (only a short walk (2 min) to the main strip of bars / cafe's). Super handy having a car parking spot included with the room as it allowed us to hop around to all the beaches! When we arrived the room was so nice and clean, and the AC worked super well to keep the place cool during the summer!

Room was slightly smaller than expected but still fully functional and okay for two people. Could've used some hand soap, and for the body soap/ shampoo & conditioner to be re-stocked daily when the house keeping came through.

As soon as we arrived at the Olive Motel , David. the owner, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. He upgraded us which we really appreciated and couldn’t have been kinder. He is definitely one of the best hosts we have met and he runs the motel all on his own , keeping it immaculate. The room was sparkling clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable with lovely crisp white sheets. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk to beautiful Coromandel town centre, where there are lots of restaurants and shops.
