The resort looked nice, be a great place to spend more than one night. So you can take the time to enjoy the pool and tennis court. I think a winter getaway here is a great time not really busy. We had a comfortable stay, the beach is right there. Was a nice morning walk. Never been to whitianga so we enjoyed wondering around. We drove around to the lost springs thermal spa we were booked for 4.30pm. We then found dinner at smittys sports bar, also very close home to bed 9pm shattered. Up and drove around to find food. Public holiday so alot of places closed being a Monday that's normal in hospitality. We found a bakery was good for family of 5 adults. Nice on my pocket! Drove to hot water beach next day, after check out. Spent a few hours here, then carried on our way back home.

I had to book 2 houses because my kids are 19 and 18, one in a relationship. So 3 adults in one room wasn't suitable. Their was no option for 5 adults. Using the booking.com system. I'd say if I had of phoned them or spoken directly to reception they would of been able to let me know of a option for sofa bed? I didn't tho. The 3 teens loved own house also all just slept. Didn't use facilities. To short a stay for us.

Great spot. Walking distance to shops and beach. Pool was great. Apartment was a good size for a family with a good layout.

The Apartment was a bit tired and in need of a freshen up. Basic cleanliness level, but was in need of a good deep clean. Dust on top of fridge, in TV cabinet,laundry floors. Glass tables hadn't been cleaned properly and were covered in smear marks. Fawcet in the kitchen needed fixing. Utensils were aveage. Just minor things, but for the cost we expected better.. The lady in the office wasn't very pleasant on arrival. She was rude and grumpy to some other guests while we were waiting to check in and wasn't very welcoming to us either, so first impressions weren't great. Overall it is a great place and location and with a few changes, it could be an amazing place. It's just a gamble as to what Apartment you end up in and what condition it's in we're guessing.

The quiet and security. Excellent view of beach and bay and stunning sunsets from 3rd storey bedroom. Fully equipped and tastefully decorated apartment. Close proximity to waterfront, interesting shops, gourmet cafes & restaurants, ferries and an outstanding museum. Approachable, friendly, highly competent manager who genuinely cares about her clients' comfort. Thank you, Jacqueline!

Entrance marred by 2 weeds growing through concrete path at porch entrance and multiple leaves on doormat. Livingroom couches a little tired, so difficult to get up from.

As always - great stay at Oceans. We have stayed a few times now. Always great. Wonderful location. Apartments have what you need.

We have a very yucky smell in our apartment this year. Like something has been spilt (bait maybe) from pervious guests and it look a day or so to air out. Also wish it was easier to book for 6 guests on Booking.com. Very niggly having to call the accommodation to sort this every year. Wouldn't stop us from staying again but would definitely request a new apartment next year if it happened again. Or reduce rate.

Location was amazing, close to beachfront eateries and literally walking distance to the Lost Spring. Place was clean and safe and alot more spacious than we anticipated. Check in and out was simple and receptionist was very sweet and friendly

Very minor, it had a full kitchen with everything you needed just needed maybe a small salt and pepper again super minor other than that was great

We booked a one bedroom apartment via booking.com. We were allocated a two bedroom/two bathroom set out over two floors, but were not able to use the second bedroom and second bathroom or we would be charged an additional rate which was fair enough. The apartment was spacious, laundry area with tub and dryer. Upstairs was big open plan lounge and kitchen. Bathroom with a bath and shower over. Bedroom with a good sized bed and decent wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board. The outdoor area had a clothes rack to dry clothes. Nice balcony overlooking the pool, which can be noisy at times, however, there is a 8pm noise control in place which works well. Very quiet over night, until the birds wake at 5 a.m. ! Good parking, right outside the apartment. Easy few minutes walk to Whitianga Wharf, town centre and beach. Supermarkets a short drive away, or about a 20 minute walk. There is a Four Square around the corner for basics. No late check out allowed (10 a.m.) Definitely recommend and would stay again.

A slightly later check out would have been nice.

Great location only 2 minutes from the lovely beach. Very well equipped and spacious apartment. Nice to have washing machine and tumble dryer. Nice pool on site.

Booking.com said we could check in from 2:00 but we couldn't check in until 3:00 but it wasn't really a problem. We used the ground floor bedroom as it was cooler but it had not been cleaned as thoroughly as the main top floor bedrooms.

Great location. We walked to the town centre for breakfast and a boat trip to Cathedral Cove and walked back to the accommodation easily. It is great to have use of a washing machine and dryer.

The wifi was terrible. Don’t stay here if you are a foreign tourist and you need to check emails. I couldn’t get enough signal to check emails or pay a toll or make and pay for bookings of activities. If I sat on the bottom step inside the door I could open facebook but couldn’t upload any photos. Maybe it was just my apartment.

It's feels homey. Playground, bathtub, kitchen and bed is spacious. The staff is friendly. When the kids love it... I love it too

The lighting was a bit dark. If I have to cherrypick The extra bedroom on the ground floor is kinda scary but we didn't use it so it's alrightl. There is a hot water heater inside closet on one of the room upstairs. It's 30 minutes drive from hot water beach which is the main reason why we went here. Overall we are happy

When we booked a one bedroom apartment it showed there was one flight of stairs. We didn’t like that our apartment was three stories with two steep flight of stairs with no toilet on the middle main living area and we had to choose one bathroom and one bedroom to use or we would be charged extra…… So the bathroom was up two steep flights of stairs. Not great when you have crook knees
