Amazing location, stunning outlook and easy walking distance to the beach (across the road!) or the shops and restaurants. It was the perfect spot for this town and I was thrilled with my selection. Excellent shower pressure, effective heating and comfortable bedding. All wins.

One evening I had guests upstairs with a child who seemed to like jumping up and down and it disturbed my peace. Unfortunately, it felt and sounded so intrusive. Luckily they must have checked out the next day. Phew. I was there midweek and a weekend in winter so it was very peaceful overall. Also not being from NZ I was very anxious when we received a tsunami warning and I had no idea on how to respond. Also the next day an exterior (town wide) alarm sounded for some time, and I had no idea what it was warning me to or how to respond. I would have appreciated some basic oh&s safety advice and response recommendations in the room. At a minimum in the compendium. It was a new and somewhat stressful experience for me and I would have appreciated the information on hand. Thank you.

Great apartment, perfect location. The apartment was roomy and spacious with several seating areas, all with great views of the ocean. It was closer to all amenities including a great little supermarket around the corner and some really nice restaurants. We really felt at home here and would have loved to stay longer than our 3 nights. Highly recommend.

There's not much to dislike about this place. Our only comment is that the bed was a little spongy. We really like a firm bed so maybe it would be ok for some but we struggled a little to be comfy in the bed.

The location and views are exceptional. 5 minutes walk distance to bars & restaurants and the beach across the road. Lovely views from the balcony, all of which is covered but with sliding doors to open up the front. The apartment is clean and very roomy. The owners are really helpful and lovey people. We would stay here again without hesitation, and loved Whitianga itself.

Our only complaint was how thin the toilet paper was - not a major problem but we didn’t realise it could be made to such low quality!

My husband and I had an amazing 2-night stay at these lovely apartments in Whitianga. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and waking up to a stunning sea view right from the bed was just perfect. The view of the ocean from the room was breath-taking, making the whole experience serene. The location is great too—everything is within walking distance. A huge thank you to Gina and Chris for being such wonderful hosts and making our stay memorable. Highly recommend!

Nothing all all, everything was perfect

The location was amazing with beautiful view of the ocean and easy walking distance to town. The room was spacious with an enclosed balcony and sliding window which was perfect to relax and take in the view. The owners were super friendly and helpful- even offered to do our laundry so we could make best use of our time- thank you! Such a kind gesture which meant we made our massage on time! 🤗

Nothing at all

I surprised my wife with a coromandel getaway but i think i was more surprised as the apartment was 10x better than i expected. We had the 2 bedroom apartment on the first floor and it was incredible, the facilities in the apartment would be more than suitable for full time living so for a night away it was pretty extravagant really haha. The living area was awesome but the real stand out was the huge balcony and possibly the best view you could hope for , uninterrupted across the bay and out to sea . Cost to what you get is unbeatable in my eyes and am already planning a return in the coming months , this time for a few days to really enjoy it. Apartment 8? Fantastic

We loved our stay at Waterfront Apartments even though it was only for one night. It was in a great location, it was so nice to sit on the balcony area and look at the water across the road. Walking distance to some fine restaurants and other shops. Our apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. If ever we visit Whitianga again, I would love to stay here once more.

We liked everything

We had an ocean view room and it was magic. The ocean was straight across the road from our room. Our room had windows right across the front so the view of the water was amazing. The was a closed in balcony where you could sit comfortably to relax and watch the water. The room was beautifully setup and everywhere in the room was a view of water except the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike about this property.

It was right on the water, easy walk to restaurants and bars. It was spacious and comfortable.

The bathroom white floors tiles were incredibly slippery when wet and the bathroom smelled of mildew. There was no vent for cooking so the apartment smelled of bacon for a very long time. Some of the walls had some scrapes and needed touch ups.

Right across from the beach. A large two bedroom apartment with a covered in deck. You could open up all the windows and hear and watch the waves and the sunsets. It had a big kitchen and bathroom. A massive TV on the wall in the bedroom. Super value for money

That I had to leave after three days!
