The deluxe room we had was extremely clean including the warm pools, spa & surrounding grounds. The showers/toilets and cooking areas are so clean & the laundry was available 24hrs. The hot water beach was walking distance (10min walk) through nature & you can walk back on the roadside if you want. The cafes are just a stroll (10mins walk) but they do have a little shop on the premises for your needs. The laundry requires coins but dont panic, you can get them at reception using eftpos. The staff is always happy to help for whatever you need so dont be afraid to ask about anything. They all walk with a smile, happy and ready to make your stay welcome. So say hello to the maintenance team, cleaners & office staff! They work hard to keep this place a "paradise" -- And if you've left something behind, dont panic! The staff is right on to it to contact you by email, text or phone.

Great private cabin single room with fridge and room to park car beside the cabin. Nice porch with deck chairs. We only stayed 1 night. The stars were amazing, so look up, we saw the milky way! I live in Canada, there seemed to be so many more stars in NZ! Would loved to have stayed here a few days...alas only 1 night. They rent a tiny shovel, $5, to dig at the beach... many others are doing the same, so you may be able to share the digging!

Did not realize the cabin had no bathroom,missed that in the booking, but no problem, bathroom was close by and very clean.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hot Water Beach Resort, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and welcoming staff made us feel right at home. The resort is set in a stunning location, just a short walk from the famous Hot Water Beach, which is absolutely spectacular. The accommodations were fantastic—spacious, clean, and well-maintained. We stayed in a comfortable self-contained cabin, which had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy bed, and a lovely outdoor seating area where we could unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The location is perfect for exploring the Coromandel Peninsula, with plenty of nearby activities, from scenic hikes to other beautiful beaches. We also appreciated the quiet, relaxed atmosphere of the resort, and we quickly regretted only booking a one-night stay—this place is truly special, and we would’ve loved to stay longer.

I didn’t like my washing being removed from the washing machine and piled up on a dirty bench. Some rules around laundry etiquette might help.. I was only away for the exact time that it said it was going to take, so I’m perplexed about that too 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is a really nice place and the accommodation was quite amazing. Such a delightful chalet with a lot of character. The shape of the ceiling in the chalet was so different to many of the other places we've stayed. The chalet was well presented and so clean. Staff were warm and engaging and tried hard to make our stay memorable. The location of our chalet on the park maximised privicy. The beach was a 10 minute walk and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

The takeaway food was very limited with only a couple of hours serving time which meant there were a lot of guests trying to find somewhere to sit while waiting for their fish and chip food to be cooked. It felt like waiting for your take away to be made whilst in a busy city. This contravened the calm quiet feel of a relaxing holiday park.

Cleanliness and location..the staff are friendly and the amenities are exceptional..trully a place where kids will enjoy...full cooking facilities..the kitchen is well equipped..love that there is an outdoor open shower/rinsing facility when coming off from the Beach. Also the fact that there are Family bathrooms....also top marks for making efforts in water and power conservation.

The fish and chips on location is closed..so we had to travel to the nearest Fish and Chips in the next town..30mins away for dinner. We came there in Winter so most shops are not available or temporarily closed as it is OFF Season....but there are cooking facilities so something to bear in mind when coming in large groups or family.

This is like a luxury camp ground! Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. Everything looked new. The common areas and facilities are excellent. The pizza and beer at the cafe were very good. The ladies at reception are very nice and helpful. This was a short drive or 10 min walk to the beach. For some reason I thought it was right on the beach. But still it’s the best place to stay as it’s close for early morning low tide. Hot Water Beach is an amazing experience. Such a hidden gem.

This place is amazing. Cannot fault it at all. Staff on reception were so friendly. Facilities were excellent. Camp kitchen is awesome. Pool and soak tub was the best and our cabin was clean and beds were comfy. It has a real family feel and we wish we had more time to spend there. This place set the standard so high for our trip I don't think other places would come close to the value and experience we had here. Oh not to mention the stunning beach within waking distance.

Nothing it was perfect

My sisters and I adored our ensuite villa. It was clean and cozy and a short walk down to hot water beach (we stopped at reception to hire a shovel, of course!). In the park shop, we were able to buy everything we needed to make ourselves a nice breakfast. We also bought a bottle of rosé, which we enjoyed on our patio that evening. We'd have happily stayed here for weeks rather than just a few days.

I slept on the pullout couch. Like most pull-out couches, it wasn't the most comfortable, but that's to be expected. I do wish it had a blanket in addition to the top sheet.

Great location, just a 10 minutes walk to the beach. The place was huge and had a lot to offer, such as pool, hot pool, laundry room etc...All the shared facilities were clean. The restaurant was very good, great burgers. Minimarket open with everything you need. The cabins were super cozy with everything you need inside.

Only bad thing with the place is the limited and bad wifi. I don't really understand why in 2024 we need to have only 2GB per day and of bad quality. Just offer free and good wifi to the guests. Also, the bed was for some reason on weels, moving all the time.

I had a wonderful experience at this place! It's conveniently located near shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. The space itself is very nice and clean, offering a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommend!"

Everything about the place was great, but if they had air conditioning, it would’ve made the experience even better and more comfortable. It would definitely have taken my trip to the next level
