It was lovely and quiet set back from the road. Plenty of parking available. We had a ground floor apartment. Excellent location close to the beach. Lovely for a walk or to watch the sunrise along the shell laden shore. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and bars. Spotlessly clean with teas and coffees provided. Grocery store 200 m away. Viv was friendly, welcoming and obviously enjoyed her garden from the pretty flowers and well kept garden. Would highly recommend for a stopover.

Amazing location directly across the road from Buffalo beach, our apartment was comfortable for our three night stay. We wondered about the road noise, but with all windows shut, there was no disturbance of our sleep at night. In summer, it would be quite busy, but off peak, it didn't disturb us at all. The sliding doors opened to the deck for sitting and enjoying the view. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom met our needs. The kitchen had all we needed for breakfast prep, we didn't eat in otherwise, but there was a good fridge freezer, microwave and small hob and even a BBQ for us if needed. It was well equipped, beach towels provided which was nice. Walking distance to shops, cafes and restaurants. A wonderful stay, we'd love to return one day.

Not much, a couple of small things - like you couldn't access the unit from the deck outside, you had to go around the back to unlock doors. We discovered, after the fact, that there were clothes racks stored in the laundry area we could have used to dry off wet beach towels and clothing, but it wasn't clear from the information book. Very minor things that really didn't take away from our enjoyment of staying here.

Viv was lovely and very accommodating. The apartment we were in is perfect size for a couple. Location was perfect sea view and only 2-3 minutes away from the town center. Did not have to travel far to get little bits and pieces or food. The beach was amazing from the sand, to the water and views.

Bed/Sheets. Within 20 minutes of laying on the bed my partner started getting little red spots/marks that were itchy (he has sensitive skin). Later on in the evening as we were about to sleep I began itching and noticed I was covered in these same little spots/marks. It may have been bed bugs, not too sure but it did have us looking forward to getting home to our own bed. Also one of the outer blankets had stains on it so we just tossed it to the side and did not use.

I like the place, people of Whitianga were very friendly, beautiful place, we stay at Blue Marlin, rooms were so big, bed were so comfortable, 🤗Owner was so nice and friendly, 🙏 the house was tidy and clean and has everything, oven, fridge, cups ,plates, pots, sky tv, free Wifi, bathroom was clean and had everything that you need, towels, flannels, etc ,close to shops and just 3mins walk to the town centre. Thank you to the old lady of Blue Marlin, 😇 me and my family were so happy with our stay there, we appreciate everything 💫💫💫💫💫🫶

Awesome location straight across the road from Buffalo Beach. Really spacious studio apartment, with full size free standing oven and hob, and good sized fridge freezer. Really comfortable bed. Air con unit. Deck at the front of the unit with amazing views. Spotlessly clean.

7 steps to access the back door of the unit. Not a huge issue, except I have a knee injury, but the owner did let me know in advance, including sending a photo.

Stunning views, close to Town and a lovely restaurant, Kufe, within walking distance. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchette and very friendly and helpful Owner, Viv.

Unfortunately had a run-in with some voracious mozzies and sandflies one night. Viv immediately eradicated the next day, so a mild inconvenience only.

It was such a relief to come somewhere that is properly clean and well maintained and furnished attractively in a great position in a beautiful area. The apartment did NOT have an odour which we have found many places do on our travels. This made me feel instantly comfortable. We had a great time and just wished we could have stayed longer.

I would've given a 10 but for the fact that one of the single beds was in the living area. A tiny bit inconvenient but not a huge issue for us.

Wonderful apartment right across the road from Buffalo Beach in Whitianga and walking distance to Whitianga Wharf, ferry, restaurants and shopping. Apartment was very clean and had many nice amenities. Hostess was extremely helpful with check-in and providing information about the area.

Location is great, just on the beach. We were in Apartment 7 - a lovely compact 2 bed apartment. Beds were comfy, shower was great and small kitchen was well equipped and ideal for preparing ready meals. Owner was lovely. Only a 5-10 minute walk to shops, restaurants

Straight across the road from the beach. Great 1 brm unit with cooking facilities, and a medium sized fridge freezer. Large covered patio area which was usable in almost all weather, even during a heavy rain watch period. Good shower. Spotlessly clean.
