Everybody was helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable, but the location was outstanding. We arrived very late and I woke early the following morning, stepped out onto the balcony and witnessed a glorious sunrise. I walked into town, which was about a forty minute trip. The seafront and promenade is beautiful. The walk back along the beach, and the walk to the other end of the bay gave different but equally stunning vistas. Sitting on the sunbeds,right on the front edge of the lawn, was like heaven on earth. We could have stayed forever.

We stayed on the top floor in an apartment facing the ocean. I think it was number 8. It was perfect. We could cook our own meals in the well equipped full kitchen. It was well laid out to sleep a family of 4 and the beds were comfortable. We slept so well because of the black out blinds and lapping ocean just outside, My 22 year old daughter enjoyed using the trampoline and we both enjoyed the hot tub and having our meals on our balcony overlooking the beautiful view, The hosts were also lovely and very helpful with suggestions as to things to do. it was well located to walk and drive to different sites to visit in the surrounding areas. A nice bonus is it also had Netflix to relax at night with a movie, Because of the lack of noise and light pollution, star gazing was at its best. I would highly recommend this property.

While it doesn’t have a dresser to store your clothes you can temporarily reorganize the hall cupboard upper shelves which worked perfectly fine.

The cleanliness here is the highest among all the hotels I’ve stayed at—note: the very best, without exception. Every detail, from the nooks and crannies to each piece of cutlery, plate, and even glassware, is spotless, without a single fingerprint. The hotel’s front may be unremarkable, but the back garden opens up to a stunning beach with a breathtaking ocean view. They offer single kayaks and life vests. We love it here and highly recommend it!

The unit was sparkling clean. I enjoyed sipping coffee from the balcony. We woke up early to watch the sun rise and even made time to slip into the hot tub. We did not cook outdoors, but noted the gorgeous table for alfresco dining. We opted for the Whitianga restaurants which were a short drive away. The proprietors left us a shallow container of water to rinse our feet before entering the unit. Great idea! When we checked in, we appreciated advice about visiting Driving Creek Railway, a narrow gauge railway constructed by a potter.

There is not a sand beach at Beachfront Resort. Rather, the property is separated from the water by large rocks. You can drive to a public access beach–it's not far away. I suspect that erosion is to blame.

We booked at the last minute so had to take a room overlooking the parking lot and road. We could see that there were really nice rooms available so if returning we would try to book one of those. To be fair our room was cheaper and was perfectly adequate.

The people in the top apartment were inconsiderate in what sounded like moving furniture around. Absolutely terrible guests and completely outside of the control of the property owners.

Location was amazing and the veiw was spectacular! I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I had booked on the friday morning and had asked if the staff could help me with organisng some flowers and wine for the room i had booked. Within minutes i received a phone call from the owners asking specifically what i would like and how much i would like to spend on these extras. It was very easy and they absolutely exceeded my expectations, We arrived and we had been upgraded into what felt like the best room in the place. Thetable had chocolates and beautiful flowers waiting on the table for us and the Champagne was chilled in the fridge waiting to be opened. The staff were very friendly and amazing to deal with especially so last minute. Thanks very much team.

The beach front setting was beautiful, it's own little slice of paradise. The rooms were spacious for a couple and also had room enough for a family. Good kitchen, super clean bathroom with great water pressure in the shower. We were on the top floor and loved our balcony with lots of space to sit outside. The outdoor communal spaces and spa were great for groups or people to share and spread out a bit (although we were there off peak so only 3/6 rooms full at one time). I would book again with a group of friends and family. They provided extras like spades and canoes which we would definitely take advantage of if there in a summer with the kids.

When we arrived the spa pool wasn't working - I was gutted as we'd specifically looked for places with spa pools; however, it was fixed by the second day, so that lucky we were staying 2 nights. When we arrived there were only two units full, but once there were 3-4 there seemed to be quite a lot of noise between the rooms.

We had a lovely stay at these apartments. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and the apartments themselves are even better than what you'd imagine for a beachfront property! The spa overlooking the bay is amazing and the apartment itself is spacious with a really comfy bed. Though we had unfortunately miserable weather during our stay, the accomodation made up for it with it's close proximity to the town centre and facilities

Exceptional location - right on the beach with a jacuzzi tub out back. Great staff, very clean room. Owners clearly take pride in the property.

Without AC you need to leave windows open to allow the sea breeze to cool down the room in the nights/evenings. While this isn’t a problem, none of the windows have screens so if you turn lights on in your room insects fly toward the light and into your room.
