the room and bed were very clean and comfortable, plus i enjoyed the pool. i will be back

i wrote to you saying i had booked through the motel direct and booked and stayed only 2 nights. i had booked earlier with booking.com unintentionally for 3 nights but then had to change to 2 nights. i paid you for the 3 nights, changed it all and requested a refund from you. When the booking came up it was listed as Homestead motel and i thought i was booking direct with them but when i had to change it to 2 nights i realised my mistake and requested a refund. please could you action a refund. Long weekend stay at Kerikeri Homestead. The location was ideal remote enough to offer an escape from the busy city life, yet conveniently close to the state highway, making it easy to explore different parts of the FFN without hassle. The service and hospitality were outstanding throughout our stay. Reception staff was welcoming and friendly. Housekeeping staff gave great advise on places to visit. The only negative I have was the hoha creaking sounds that came from the ceiling and in the walls was very annoying other than that our stay was pleasant. I will still recommend.

Very spacious, well setup and supplied. Quiet grounds with the units sensibly separated

The unit attached to our unit shared a wall. Unfortunately, and I don’t think this was the case for all the units, the wall they shared was their bathroom with the wall at the head of our bed. So every time they used the loo or ran the shower we had the noise of the water being supplied. Fortunately that unit was only occupied 1 in the 3 nights we were there.

Great stay for families ! Plenty of parking though we had only one vehicle but we did have visitors come over & they were also impressed by how spacious parking was. Awesome spa & pool! As well as a bbq space if families wanted to have a bbq. Location is very neat too. There’s a pub not far from the motel. Beds were super spacious our premium apartment had everything we needed ! Whiteware, dish soap and all! Thank u for an amazing stay in the beautiful kerikeri we will be back!

Amazing pool - maybe it's heated? Great to have a deck to hang out on in the morning too. Beautiful outlook over the bushy valley from our room which made it feel like we were in Australia! Great size rooms, very clean and good facilities. Would highly reccomend.

There is a bar nearby, which was pumping loud music when we got home after 10 which could've been bad but the fans blocked all noise so we didn't hear a thing. Would be nice to have milk in the rooms for coffee.

Plenty of offstreet parking and close to the room. Decent sized room with jug, milk and coffee supplies. Bathroom was a nice size. Comfortable bed. There were bath robes provided but we didn't get the chance to use them. The real highlight was the private balcony.

I covered the microwave with a shirt as the numbers were bright and I like total darkness for sleeping. Could hear other guests talking/coughing and TV echo because we were down a internal hallway which was a sound trap. They were not being noisy intentionally however. I'm guessing the price was only steep because it's the holiday season and we only booked as we had a concert in kerikeri that night as wouldn't spend $280 on a room usually. Have stayed here before and paid about $150

The pool was terrific. The room and bed were excellent and the bathroom pristine. Pool robes were in the cupboard, along with an umbrella which we did use when it rained. It was an easy walk to the town for a bite to eat and also to the local Countdown supermarket. The parkings spaces are nice and roomy and although the complex is quite large there is a feeling of privacy for the single rooms and the apartments. The gardens are beautiful and well looked after.

The only thing I didn't like was dull drum beats until 1am from the Bar and Bistro next door but it was Saturday night (in our two night stay). My husband didn't notice anything but he had run a half marathon... I will carry ear plugs with me in future. I am already planning to return next February when I'm going up to Cape Reinga with friends.

The pool area is absolutely lovely, the location is walking distance to town and they’ve done a lovely job of making each unit feel quite private despite having rooms side by side. The facilities provided in the room (such as plates, cutlery etc) were also great.

The room we were in was a Lockwood unit so inside it has interlocking wood panels. As a result it was horribly noisy all throughout the night as the wood contracted. It sounded like gun shots or things falling off the walls and woke me up all night. Next time I’ll make sure to stay in a different style unit.

Room and outlook very nice

The manager was not happy that we arrived at 1.15pm and he said the room was not available until 2.00 when we had stipulated in our booking that we would arrive between 1.00 - 2.00. There was no one in the office when we arrived and had to wait for someone to find the manager to book in. He did let us in around 1.30 pm.

The one bedroom apartment covered all required when travelling by car and needing a comfy base with washing machine and dryer if needed. A beautiful clean pool and spa. Also a comfy area for a nice barbecue with our travelling companions. Easy access to great butcher and supermarket.

Nothing that comes instantly to mind.
