We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment with an indoor hot tub, and absolutely loved it! The views over the Bay of Islands were breathtaking—we never got tired of looking out from the big windows. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and even small extras like cooking oil, paper towels, and milk in the fridge. The indoor spa was a real highlight, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. It’s a quiet location but still close to everything—we walked to the beach, restaurants, and shops easily. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Decor is a little dated—but nothing that took away from the experience.

Location, walkable to town centre, local grocery and Waitangi Treaty grounds is fantastic. Treaty grounds cafe is excellent. Well appointed kitchen, dining area, large living and 2 good sized bathrooms were much appreciated, as was the laundry machine and the multiple hanging racks.

With no A/C and warm weather, the apartment was quite hot in the afternoon and evening, although we made efforts to open windows and use fans. In the evening we had to either close windows or turn off lights to avoid insect visitors. Some window screens would alleviate this problem dramatically. Hotel staff may want to consider making up beds differently, or inquiring about preference for multiple single guests (3 in our case) as bedroom size differs fairly dramatically.

Good location easy walk into town. Amazing view of the Bay. The apartment was well stocked with cooking facilities, great selection of tea and coffee. It also had glad wrap, alfoil and cooking oil. Large selection of glassware and plates and a bbq on the balcony. It had a Full size fridge and dishwasher. Friendly helpful staff. We had the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, downstairs bathroom was large with spa bath and toilet but no shower. Upstairs bathroom was also good size with shower and toilet both had heated towel rails on constantly which was lovely.

The best facilities and fantastic ocean views made our trip happy and gave us a time to heal. The large, comfortable Jacuzzi was also the best, and the Sunrise from the balcony was an unforgettable and beautiful scene. The kitchen was perfectly prepared and we were lucky to have a beautiful night view from the balconies on the first and second floors. The pounding waves made us have a happy sleep. It is a great home that I would like to say is the perfect accommodation and would like to come back to. ♡

We had Apartment 8-2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The views were spectacular, and the apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. I have never stayed in such a well-equipped motel unit. The attention to detail was outstanding, down to paper towels and a lemon squeezer in the kitchen, plus so much more! We enjoyed the spa bath and the sauna in our apartment too. The location was handy to the beach, Waitangi and a supermarket. You could enjoy a walk to Paihia shops and restaurants or take a short drive. It was an easy walk to Waitangi too. I would love to visit again! We had other family staying in apartments there too, and they were all delighted with their accommodation.

The only drawback for some people might be that parking can be a bit tight when the motel is fully booked. As we had 2 cars for our apartment, we were allowed to have 2 spaces until the nights that the motel was fully booked. Then we parked on the road; that was safe, and we could see the car, under a streetlight, from our apartment. The driveway is fairly steep, but that was not a problem for any of us.

A gift of oysters being removed from the room by the caretaker to be told he didn't want them smelling the room and questioning me where they were from. To be honest as I advised him they were a girt from family that acquired them from an oyster farm. .I advised him.it was not his right to remove them.with the room, return correspondence being very negative In. the rules it states please do not cook fish not, do not have oysters in your room. Him putting them.outside in the sun had more chance off ruining them very big negative for me

What truly stood out, was the thoughtful provision of utilities catering to our every need. From the plentiful towels and luxurious toiletries to the outdoor Barbie and the jacuzzi. Clear view of the beach and the open sea what more can we ask for! Every detail was considered, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. The utilities were modern, functional, and well-maintained, adding to the overall sense of luxury and comfort. Kudos to the hotel team for their dedication to cleanliness and attention to detail. Superb location, magnificent views. Woolworths walking distance (we still drove). If you like taking walks this is a great spot. Parking on site. Restaurants a bit further down but we mostly ate in our room as it was so good. The property owner Doug was very helpful and offered suggestions for things with kids which was a great benefit as our fishing trip was cancelled due to bad weather. He also had games for the kids to play and spare bags for the shops. There were many great comforts at the property and it was our favourite place of our whole NZ trip. Little things like hot towel rack, heating in all rooms, well stocked kitchen, private BBQ and outdoor dining. Room service for replacement of towels etc. Own washer in room and dryers free to use outside between 8am-8pm. Comfortable beds, well kept apartment. Loved our stay.

My favourite accommodation on our NZ trip. The absolute beachfront location and great views, generously outfitted kitchen and bbq/balcony( thank you hosts). Supermarket is literally around the corner. Lovely 10 minute walk along the beach road to great restaurants

The driveway is very steep, not suitable for elderly ( but it’s short enough to be exercise for the rest of us). The bathrooms and main bedroom are very good sizes. Second bedroom is modest but ok. Living area just big enough. There

Great location with terrific view. The apartment was very well equipped with everything you needed . We weren’t cooking as it was a short visit but the kitchen was well stocked. Lots of glasses and wine glasses, cutlery etc . Also nice to have dish washer powder and laundry soap, even makeup remover and shower cap, soap and shampoo. Instructions for all the amenities were clear and well labelled. Check in was smooth and our host provided is with lots of information about sights to see and restaurant recommendations.
