While we expected one of the units overlooking the pool there was no issue with Unit 9. The important point was that we had a ground floor. Spotlessly clean and great service although the TV was a bit tricky for a while. Over the years we have stayed at this establishment a number of times and have never been disappointed. Our one night stay, on this occasion, was further enhanced by receiving a real nice freshly caught snapper from a couple of other guests. Certainly we will be back. Many thanks. Nga Mihi

Ground floor no stairs due to my healing ankle injury. Was clean and very comfortable bed. The kitchenette was ideal and had everything available. Loved the personal touches with the hand wash, 2n1 shampoo/conditioner and body wash. Weather was windy, wet & cold but the heat pump made the room cosy & warm. My visit was exceptional with friendly, accommodating staff member, she was great, nice Maori wahine, also Woolworths & gas station next door. I recommend totally and will stay again. One of the best motels I’ve stayed in Aotearoa. First motel stay in Paihia, hands up Te Tiriti Motel, thank you !!

Great price, two bedrooms lounge and kitchenette with a pool just outside the back door. All a few hundred metres from the beach and a few KM from Waitangi treaty grounds. Next door to the supermarket which was really convenient. We could decide what to make for dinner last minute, which was great for holiday spontaneity. The bathroom also had a big bathtub, which looked nice, but it was too hot for a bath.

I don't think they can do much about this because that is just the climate in Paihia, but the humidity is very high leading to mildew around the windows. It wasn't really an issue for us, but for someone with allergies it could be problematic.

The staff were great - I arrived after office hours on a Sunday, but arrangements were made for me to access my room, which was very much appreciated. I liked the comfort and the value. The location was very handy - though there nearby Woolworths meant that you had the sounds of trucks being unloaded by fork-lift trucks (mainly their reversing warnings at about 08:00) - the pier for the ferry to Russell at Paihia was within 20 minutes on foot, along with the places to eat. The Waitangi grounds are close by too. The bed was comfy. I didn't use the pool, but it looked fine. The Wi-Fi needed to be logged back into each day or if you'd left the premises, but once you realised that it was a simple matter to get back on line.

The bathroom might be cold in the winter months as one of the windows did not fully shut. If the motel was busy with families, you might get a bit of noise either from neighbouring units or the pool, but I was there outside of school holidays so no sweat.

Excellent motel that punches above its class. Large room, 2 single beds into one, table and 2 chairs, kitchenette with microwave and kettle, with plenty of room to manoeuvre around and unpack a suitcase. Well equipped with ironing board, clothes drying rack and cutlery and dishes. No issues with noise despite being the closest to the 'busy' road. Air-conditioning unit available. Bathroom with all the necessities, spacious. All linen provided. On site laundry facilities, coin operated with free detergent provided. Plenty of car parking space. Fantastic salt water pool, refreshing and generously sized, and clean. Definitely a highlight. Fantastic space nearby the pool, with BBQ facilities available. Woolworths just over the wall. Good wi-fi internet. Staff are excellent, great to have a chat with and no request is too hard. Definite highlight of my stay, and welcome treats after a long drive is definitely appreciated. Would stay again, easily.

Bathroom facilities are outdated and require maintenance. Shower head sprays unevenly and unable to adjust its direction, difficult to adjust water temperature. Despite large open windows, an exhaust fan would be beneficial. Shower door doesn't stay close when in use. Signage for pool times and depth would be of benefit, as I was unable to find any such information on site. Kitchenette requires a sink for dish washing. Different bins for recycling not available. No powerpoint at bedside.

Tash on reception was very warm and welcoming, telling us to help ourselves to chocolates and providing an extra key and information on the area. Air conditioning was good. Bed was Super King and very comfortable. The swimming pool was clean. It was nextdoor to Woolworths Supermarket which was convenient. We would have liked to stay longer.

It was difficult having no kitchen sink and trying to fill up the bowl provided by getting water from the bathroom basin. The check in time was between 3pm and 5pm with an additional fee if you checked in later than 5pm. We read this before booking but it did restrict our plans for the day. A note by the door had "Late check out will be charged at $50 per hour, which seemed excessive, not that we were late. A few days before staying, we received an email asking for a $200 bond as the motel was now requiring it. I phoned and said that we would not be paying it as it wasn't required at time of booking. We were pleasantly surprised to feel so genuinely welcome by Tash after such communications.

Ok so, 1. The sms alerting us our room was ready and available for early check in. So very appreciated! 2. Greeted by a very welcoming host with a swift no muck around check in. Noted that she was also kind to pur toddler which means the world to us. 3. A gorgeous dining set 😍 I absolutely fell in love with it. And a full tea and coffee station with salt and pepper 😍 4. A dead bolt for the door that leads to the pool. 5. Nice smelling body wash and shampoo etc.

Thin pillows. No biggie I used the one that was fatter. Uncomfortable couch. We couldn't work the spa bath or perhaps it was out of order.

comfy room with the option of servicing each day. At one point our personal towels (which looked very similar to the hotels) were picked up in the servicing, but staff were really helpful with locating them and returning promptly which was very appreciated. Kitchenette was obviously small but had a lot of useful things eg toaster/microwave/mini fridge, so we didnt have to eat out every night. The hotel is right next to a supermarket and walking distance from the beach.

The size of the kitchenette means there is no sink in there. A tub is provided with dish washing liquid and a brush so you can use the bathroom tap to clean dishes. My only other suggestion would be about the TV guide- the room book has a page instructing "how to switch from Netflix to normal TV" but as far as we could tell Netflix was not available. Might be worth rewording the guide as it has us confused trying to figure out how to get to Netflix ( it only showed how to go to TV and not the other way)

We rented a 2 bedroom unit. Kitchen is small but functional come 2 hot plates, microwave small fridge. Not much counter space and comes with adequate pots pans and 4 plates, bowls forks knives etc. Nice size living room used the barby a few times and worked good getting a bit worn out but stilled cooked up the food nice. Pool is a nice size and good temperature. Also the Countdown is right beside this place so easy to grab some groceries. About a nice 20 min walk into town and beach only 5 min walk away

A fan in the bedrooms would be nice as no a/c but with windows open and sliding door open could get a cross breeze

Staff were really helpful and accommodating they let us check in early with clear instructions. The room was a little outdated but perfectly clean and welcoming- we were thrilled with the comfy bed and good aircon. The location of the premises is excellent with stunning views of the surrounding area and a nice 15 minute stroll into town for shops, restaurants and activities.

the shower pressure was extremely intense and any lower pressure using the tap handle made the temperature inconsistent but after a while we got used to the intense pressure and it was nice after a hot day but more choice would be good- overall, it's a fabulous motel.
