Sea Spray totally understands the meaning of the words GREAT SERVICE. From the moment I stepped into the suite, high standards and professionalism were the words that came to my mind. Every room/area was spotless and without flaw, and I am not kidding. Everything was perfect. The suite far exceeded my expectations. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Sea Spray thought out everything from providing pots with lids to ensuring that surf powder was available for washing your clothes in. The washing machine was also provided along with a dryer in the suite. The location is beautiful. Beach right across the road, waking up to the sounds of crashing waves. Waitomo gas station situated right next door with Woolworths located 2 minutes drive away, not to mention main shops are 3 mins in the other direction. The website says that Sea Spray hotel is rated a 4.5, I totally disagree with that rating. It desrves to be rated a 5 star hotel. I highly recommend staying at this hotel to all who are looking to stay a night or two.

What didn't I like, you ask, that's easy, LEAVING. I will be back.

The location is absolutely perfect—right on the main road, with a petrol station next door and a supermarket just a short drive away. The rooms are impressively quiet, with nothing but the sound of beautiful bird songs throughout the day. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable bed, a cosy living room with a sofa, and a fully equipped kitchen with everything I needed. The bathroom was also generously sized, making the stay even more comfortable. While the furniture is slightly worn, it’s still perfectly functional and didn’t take away from the overall experience.

Parking can be a bit awkward, but I appreciated the free spots.

Our apartment had a nice view to the bay although across the road (and a small parking lot). it came with a well-equipped kitchen and balcony. These rooms are at the front of the complex. The first floor location provided more light and privacy than what was enjoyed by those on the ground floor.

With an in-room washing machine-drier combo this place would be excellent. Unfortunately, we did not find nearby restaurants very good, but on the other hand, the place is conveniently close to the Waitangi Treaty site. Please, note the photos on booking.com do represent the premium suites on the front but the property looks very different for the other rooms.

Location amazing with stunning views! and easy access on foot to other beautiful locations and supermarket just around the corner! lovely lady on reception super helpful upon check in & check out :) Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return and recommend to others!

Place could do with an update with maybe adding an air con or fan system to the bedroom as the bedroom can get quite stuffy. or an update to the windows as there was a bit of noise from the gas station & neighbours.

A great location, just over the road from the beach. Reception were really friendly and helpful. The suite was clean and nicely decorated. We booked a suite for 5, which meant using the sofa bed in the living area, and reorganised the furniture to enable the bed to be left up.

Parking is a bit of a squeeze in a big hire car. It took us a bit of time to realise the microwave was a convection oven too - every day's a school day! 5 chairs would have been nice either inside or out, so we didn't have to keep moving them around. I thought the suite was going to be bigger from the photos but it was fine.

I was in room 214, very spacious, had everything, right down to washing machine and dryer. So roomy, and an actually dinning table and 2 sofas, 2 bedrooms, nice kitchen, would definately stay again, but maybe next time 3rd floor, especially if the layout is the same. The only bummer, heat pump so slow and not really pumping out the heat. sky, no movie channels but no big deal, my husband liked the sports anyway.

Fantastic beach-side location with spacious living room, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedroom. Small outdoor seating area included too. Super easy check-in process and generous parking available. Had everything we needed!

Small thing that we personally didn't care about, but if you're likely to watch TV during your stay, the TV provided is really quite small and far away from the seats - I couldn't see without my glasses! You'll likely be spending more time outdoors here anyway so no big deal.

Pretty noisy being next door to a busy petrol station and garage. Hot and only 1 fan supplied for 2 bedroom unit. No bedside lights. Limited amount of cutlery. Needed a bit more attention to cleaning eg skirting boards and maintenance eg multiple small scuffs on walls and doors needed touch up paint, fridge not cold even on coldest setting.

We stayed at the Sea Spray Suites in the very busy Christmas New Year holiday. Being a little distance from the main centre of Paihia was really good. It wasn't as hectic up our end of town and it is an easy and pleasant walk to the main restaurants. Our suite was tremendous, ocean view with a balcony, very comfortable bed and an excellent bathroom and shower. Check in was easy and all the staff were cheerful and courteous and with parking being scarce during the holidays the free parking on site was much appreciated. The room was spacious and clean and the location is across the road from the beach. There is a very good fish and chip shop just around the corner, so we enjoyed fish and chips on the balcony looking out over the beautiful Bay of Islands. A very enjoyable stay.

Had everything you need. The cooking facilities and cook ware provider were good. Liked the added plunger coffee as well.

The only fault was the pillows. There was 5 to choose from it they were all the same pillow. Maybe have a mix of 2 different types. Also there was a few from balcony of rubbish on the driveway over, it's hars as cant control other people's property, but not a pleasant site.
