Brita and Heinz are phenomenal hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay and have excellent local knowledge on the best things to do. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable and had all the amenities needed plus amazing views from the balcony. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. It is only a short walk down to town and we were able to walk to Waitangi and to the pier to catch the ferry to Russell. We will definitely be back to stay again when we are next in the area!

Heinz & Brita were the most gracious hosts. The room had everything we needed for our stay, very comfortable, and the view from the balcony was stunning! The Allegra House was a close walk to everything Paihia, and they have a cute little shortcut path down the hill. The breakfast & homemade bread was delicious ~ so much to choose from to start your day. We would definitely come back to Paihia & stay at the Allegra House again.

Beautifully presented and curated room, with stunning views over the water and Paihia. Great location, within easy access to Paihia cafés and restaurants for dinner. Breakfast served in owners accommodation - on their balcony overlooking the stunning water views. A 'Captain's Table' arrangement, where we were able to converse with other guests and the owners which was lovely. Delicious breakfast - top marks to our hosts. Highly recommend.

The location is top notch and is the main reason why we went there. It offers beautiful views and easy access to activities. The breakfast experience was enjoyable for many reasons including, the choice and quality of the food and the artful display of the fruit plates, as well as the lively discussions with our hosts.

The hospitality of Heinz and Brita was superb. The view from our room and balcony took in all of Paihia and was most enjoyable. Breakfast was full on for food lovers!

Could not fault Allegra House and it is a short downhill walk of about 10 minutes to the waterfront. Uphill was a bit more of a challenge so a car is essential.

We had a wonderful 3 nights in Allegra. Lovely views, very clean and quiet; and great hosts with good recommendations. We didn’t have the property breakfast as we never woke up for it, which we subsequently regretted as the quality seemed significantly better than what you can get in Paihia.

Not to do with the property in itself, but there was some construction going on in one of the buildings that started every morning at 8 am. If you’d like a lie-in, bring some earplugs.

Amazing and quality service. Brita and her husband were absolutely lovely to us and accomodating to our last minute cancellations, accidentql double bookings, and last minute new bookings etc. Such amazing hosts who welcomed us. The rooms were all absolutely stunning. No matter what room you have, you will have a beautiful view of the bay. THE breakfast was amazing!! Home made fresh bread and ingrediants, eggs cooked to our liking, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, too much you guys are. You guys are so great and we cant wait to come back thank you for having us loud bunch 💙💙 your home is stunning!!

This is a special place to stay - the views from our room over the bay were spectacular. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace and exploring the islands. Brita and Heinz are generous hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was spacious and well equipped. This has to be one of the best places I have stayed.

Allegra House has been a highlight of our trip so far. Everything about our stay was fabulous. Brita and Heinz are superb hosts; their breakfasts are so delicious and our apartment was so luxurious. The icing on the cake was the incredible views over the bays. Don’t hesitate to- just book!

Nothing at all

No matter what room you choose you will have a panoramic view of the bay, an outdoor seating area, and the fantastic breakfast (fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, cheese, cold meats, and cooked-to-order eggs). Rooms vary: bed size, stairs inside/outside/none. Just a 5-minute drive to Waitangi Treaty Grounds. There is a path downhill to Paihia but plenty of parking in the village if you want to drive (generally more than 2 hours you will have to pay to park). Deep Water Cove snorkel trip with https://bayofislandssnorkelling.co.nz/ was great.

This is not a self-catering stay. There is a refrigerator and tea/coffee kettle but no microwave or other cooking option. There are plenty of places to eat in Paihia.
