Huge room on the ground floor. Comfortable bed. Very clean space. Excellent location - less than 5 min walk from the middle of Paihia.

As I needed a ground floor, the only available at the time seemed to be in the older/original section, so the room was a bit out dated and not what was pictured at the time of booking. Kitchen facilities were minimal. No A/C or ceiling fans (pedestal fan was provided). No wardrobe (older style freestanding coat rack was provided and we repurposed some shelves under the desk/bench). Be aware - reception is up a flight of steps so if you have mobility issues this could be tricky.

Couldn't fault it from booking to departure. Great Motel, lovely and quiet, only one street back from the waterfront. Lovely warm unit. Lovely gentleman at reception, thanks for the oranges!! They were lovely. Room was as described. Nice to have two separate bedrooms instead of a bed in the lounge. Beds were comfy and nice linen. Plenty of towels. Fridge nice and big, with a freezer. Nice generous sized couches and dining furniture, nice not to be squished up. Really clean. Safe parking area. Laundry on site, (we didn't use it but nice to know it was there). Info sheets easy to understand and informative, thank you for not over-complicating the instructions for the TV!!!!

Awesome location, thanks for the communication for our late arrival, the room is spacious for us, and it provided exactly what we needed, the first floor is certainly better for us to view the bay from the balcony.

Nothing major, I do like the wood frame, it smells great, but as we all know, the nature of the wood will expand and shrink during temperature changes, that is why it caused bit bang bang noise during morning and sunset time. My wife did not like the noise, affecting her sleep, but I was tired and did not notice it. I guess there is nothing we could do about it, I am not a builder anyway. But again, I like the wood structure : )

Great location - easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants and activities in Paihia. Good parking. The bathroom was very clean but it was a little on the small side. There was 2 of everything in the kitchen (e.g. cutlery/cups, plates and glasses), sufficient for the 2 of us but that meant we had to wash everything as we used it - not at all a problem though.

We couldn't turn off the outside light on the balcony, but understand that was left on for security purposes so we didn't really mind. As we stayed 3 nights and ate out only once a large salad bowl would have been useful.

Comfy, laid back place a short walk from everything. We had a balcony with a water view - lovely way to relax at the end of the day. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and newly renovated. Plenty of onsite parking. And super nice, helpful staff really made it. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Some apartments have been modernised and some haven’t. The unmodernised apartments have wood panelling and could be brighter. Also the kitchen really isn’t great for cooking much more than a simple breakfast. Washing up brush and sponge were dirty when e arrived and needed to be replaced.

We have stayed here twice before and like the location right in Paihia, nice gardens and balconies (some with sea views) good value for money for families particularly like us with teens Enjoy being able to have full kitchen for cooking and spacious family area in the room and on the balcony. Service is always good. R

We booked a room with a full kitchen, but it turned out to be a kitchenette, did have a small hot plate but was a much smaller family room, with much less of the 'kitchen space' and not a stove compared to the upstairs room we had last time. We had booked a family room & kids didn't come, so it was ample for us. Rooms are looking a little tired but are clean and tidy.

Great location 100m from the water, 5 minute walk to the restaurants and tour operators. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast served each day in the breakfast room was sufficient: tea/instant coffee, choice of cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, bread, cheese, cold meat. No cooked breakfast or fresh juice.,

Be aware that there is no air conditioning. Not that we needed it. The portable fan was sufficient. Some of facilities have seen better days - eg the ironing board and coffee table. The room creaked periodically through the night.

Great location handy to everything.... we walked everywhere. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. Lovely to have a kitchenette. Friendly young gentleman greeted us in the office, very helpful and welcoming.

It was raining and the back stairway up to the rooms were slippery. Possibly need resurfacing or a slip mat added to each step for safety purposes. Room 26 shower door wouldn't stay completely shut and 2 spare pillows instead 1 would of been nice. The bedroom layout for this room was cramped though. Loved the big bed but had to negotiate around it. Kicked the side cupboard a few times. And it was difficult to shut the door because of the bed.

Well - the Bounty may not be the ‘flashest’ motel or the most opulent but for value for money, comfort and welcoming I don’t think you could do better. From the moment we got there (late and tired) Bob looked after us as if we were family. Bob had great advice for everything to do with the ‘northlands’ from the best spots, times and facilities for everything we wanted to do. This place is walking distance to almost everything and, with Bob as our guide (and mentor) we got see the best spots, eat at the nicest places and all the while coming ‘home’ to a room the was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We were very well looked after and What more could you ask for.

Been sitting here for 5 minutes trying to think of ‘something’ I didn’t like …. and the only thing was a young person on a noisy motorcycle once a night (and that was out of the control of Bob and the team. ).

Great location, however with the beds at the back of the room nearest the stairs and everyone walking past bedroom window, privacy a bit lacking. . Beds and cleanliness great but lots of scuff marks on the walls which wouldn't take much to get rid of. Also the magnet on shower door is missing so door won't shut properly leaking water onto the floor. Would of been nice to have extra towels , just a thought.

Scuff marks on the walls. Lack of privacy from people walking past bedroom window, of course there is a blind which can be closed but then it darkens the room during the daylight hours. Magnet missing off shower door , door can't shut so water leaks out onto floor. Spare pillows but not towels.
