The staff were super nice and the facilities available are amazing! The place is so tidy and We traveled from auckland so the price we paid for the studio rooms is so affordable and exceeded well above our expectations.
The remote for the tv is delayed. Thats it :)

It I could rate this above 10 I would. First we were stunned by the room. It was NOT your cookie cutter hotel room. It was inviting, understated sexy, very comfortable, very private, each room unique and very tasteful. The location was secluded. Quiet. A secret retreat at the edge of town. I was a returning resident and needed help with the transition. That is when management kicked into high gear. Not just well done ... which it was ... the help then offered was above and beyond. I liked it so much I wanted to stay ... somehow ... permanently. Sadly for me, not possible.

We had a fantastic experience staying here, so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cabin room & amenities. The natural surroundings of the pond, including the birds are truly remarkable, so peaceful where one can truly appreciate the beauty, and tranquillity. We enjoy relaxing in the spa pool was heavenly! We want to express our appreciation & big Thanks to Brad for his friendly and helpful attitude in welcoming us and making our stay here so pleasant. Highly recommended A+++ Definitely will be back again. 😊
Only one tiny issue be the driveway needs to be fixed due to too many pot holes which we concerned for our vehicle tyres going over it.

Nice and private, felt like being at home which was great! Was excellent to have a kitchen to use to make meals rather than going out to eat the whole weekend. Comfy beds and plenty of pillows! Girls slept well on the day beds, very comfy and lots of room they said! They loved the spa and sauna too! Mike was very happy to allow us a late checkout too, which was very nice for a Sunday! Will definitely be back again!
The only downside was driving past the entrance initially as the sign is hidden by the Indian Restaurant right next door, and they're the same colour! Must be somewhat a frustration for the owners.

Lovely spacious apartment. The kitchen was large with virtually everything you could want. There was a good size fridge freezer too. The communal decking area was a great space to relax and we also had our own private decking area on the other side of the apartment. We didn't use the pool, spa or sauna but they all looked very nice. The bed is one of the most comfortable we have slept in during our 10 week trip and we had a great night's sleep both nights. The curtains are proper black out curtains, there was no light coming in before we opened them. The grounds are superb, it was lovely and quiet and felt very safe. There was a bit of noise from the neighbouring room but not too bad. We wouldn't hesitate to come back if we are ever back in New Zealand.

Check in was excellent. We were shown where all the facilities were, including the BBQ area should we wish to cook our dinner. The location is so close to Kerikeri but far enough away from the main road that you felt you were in a sanctuary. As this was a last-minute decision, we didn't make use of the spa or pool, but on our next visit we will be sure to bring our swimming attire! The room was so clean and presented beautifully, together with the bonus of our own patio facing the bush, where we enjoyed our dinner before retiring into the most comfortable bed and enjoying a wonderful night of slumber. I cannot recommend this resort highly enough, definitely a hidden gem of which I am extremely happy to have found. We are looking forward to our next stay!!
There was NOTHING that we did not like about our stay.

Everything. This hotel is a must stay if you are in Keri Keri. Set in a beautiful wooded and tropical plant forest setting. It is stunning. You are in another world at the Avalon. Rooms/ cottages are well equipped with a huge bbq on the patio with tables and chairs which enables Al fresco dining. Kitchen with all the cutlery, pots/pans and crockery you might need. A great stay and very comfortable as well as quiet. We will stay again. Kids would love this place too. It also has a self service laundrette.
The main office and some of the accomodation is accessed by a road/track which needs some attention to repair the pot holes, Driving down this in the dark is pretty harsh on the cars suspension. I did drive with care. Promise. The car survived. I was told that plans were in place to carry out an upgrade on the road/track.

The accommodation is located close to all the amenities but feels secluded and away from the busy main road. It is nestled on the side of a hill surrounded by native trees and plants. The accommodation is spacious. The cooking facilities inside allow you to cook or take your food down to the communal bbq area by the pool. Everything from the beds to the decor is quality. Although a minor thing, the soap dispenser in the bathroom did not work. But within a short time it was replaced with a new one.
The potholes. But actually not that much of a bother it really makes you slow down and watch out for the ducks. It is a narrow driveway and at some bends of you have to be careful. Being cautious is not a big ask!

Nice and secluded lodge down a hill surrounded by nature. Nice natural pool and lovely deck to sit and enjoy your surroundings. Kerikeri bakehouse at the top of the drive was awesome. Great pies and numerous bakery delights. Good coffee. Family was able to just chill out after big day trips to nearby beautiful locations like rainbow falls.
Dishwasher probably needs some maintenance and a few more dishes could be provided...but we don't mind washing by hand so this wasn't really a big deal. Awesome place I would highly recommend it.

The room was absolutely gorgeous! I personally loved the interior. The bed was tall and comfy. The property itself is beautiful with many ponds and walkways and ducks everywhere. They also have a cat on the property which we loved. There was a natural pool, spa and sauna on site which all looked well maintained but we unfortunately didn't have the time to unwind. The location was quite central and the owner gave us dinner recommendations which we really appreciated. We're already making plans to return!
Getting in and out took a while as the property itself is huge and the roads are a bit narrow. We didn't mind it during the day cus the view was amazing but I was slightly anxious driving there in the dark.
