Great Location for us. Was just down the road from where we needed to be Waitangi

A few gripes really - wasn't enough pillows. You couldn't lean back against the headboard to catch up on messages/emails etc. Was very uncomfortable. Couldn't Lounge around on the chairs, they were the fold down ones Have a great👍👌community area though; kitchen: you provide your own food of course, comfortable lounge area and dining zone that leads out onto a huge deck that overlooked the river. Lots of seating for people to chill out on Great place to hang out and relax Overall a great place to come back too Didn't really have much interaction with staff We usually got back very late

Very spacious one bedroom unit. Kids loved the upstairs space. Handy to have fridge & jug in room. Pull out couch as well as 2 beds upstairs. Shared kitchen had everything available for own cooking. Nice main lounge area for relaxing/ dining. Scenic river views and close walk to Haruru Falls. Standard condition for a 3 star motel with some cosmetic water marking but facilities were still clean.

A couple of extra sheets would've been nice as my teens didn't want to share the queen bed. Extra blankets & pillows were available for the pullout couch though.

Nice clean, comfortable rooms with shower and toilet en suite. Lovely communal terrace and dining area.

It is expensive a little too far from shops and restaurants to walk. Entrance to the site was difficult to find being almost concealed by bushes, and there is a steep but short potholed slope to negotiate when entering and leaving the site. There are no facilities for making hot drinks in the rooms. There's a clean modern communal kitchen available for the use of guests.

The room was very spacious, lots of floor space for my child to play around in. The private bathroom was good for value. Our room had a backdoor entrance so had easy access to outdoor seating area where we were treated by ducks on one occasion. This property is just around the corner from Waitangi & Paihia with Kerikeri a nice drive down the road. Hururu falls was a beautiful site to see with a small track for the family to do. Overall great stay.

There were some complications with payment as I had secured our stay through Booking.com. Upon arrival matter was sorted by simply showing proof of payment and giving staff a copy of my card details incase funds were not collected by property owner. The shower was masked in heavy duty tape which water sprayed from the wall, but otherwise the water pressure was nice and relaxing after a long day at the beach!

The service was excellent they were friendly accommodating, only thing was the couch probably needs replacing but was clean and truly the service they were lively i would actually go back its a good place to sleep its cheap its not hollywood but the service makes you want to go back

Just the couch as it was falling apart i guess others may have broken it but that was minor needs ant repellent as ants came but easily solved.

I was looking for a relaxed stay, somewhere cheap and cheerful in this location and the lodge was perfect for that. The staff are lovely. My room was clean. Love the grounds near the river. An early morning walk by the river was a great way to start my day. Generally quiet and peaceful (september 23).

The kitchen is a shared kitchen, it smelt a wee bit. Theres a pump station near the river and it was a bit noisy on my second night stay. If your room is near the entrance you might hear the pump too.

Comfortable bed

Kitchen was not as clean as in the photos, the floor was damp and slippery. Outdoor furniture was a couple of old chairs for the whole facility. The whole place was old and run down, nowhere near as nice as in the photos. Room facilities listed tumble dryer, electric blanket and hair dryer but there were none of those.

Really liked kitchen to cook and living room where there was plenty of seating and could talk to other guests. Also patio over looking river was very plesant to sit and have breakfast. The individual control for air conditioning for each room proved very useful.

Accommodation is a few km from town which meant I could not have a drink with any meals bought. However, nice that there is a fridge in room to keep some beer.

Best location and great meeting up with others in the common area ie kitchen and dining room as you can talk with others or cook a meal and eat it on the tables of your choice or read books or play cards so plentiful, Oh the shower was was fantastic nice hot water and plenty of pressure 👌perfect

One thing little thing I needed a higher fuller pillow or an extra one then it would’ve been perfect 👍

We booked last minute and had a lovely stay. The room was super clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dated, but we had a lovely hot shower, and everything worked great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay! In the morning we discovered the beauty of the surroundings, the river and the waterfall. Would stay again.
