Beautiful view of the mountain! Had everything I needed for a short stay. Except for a few other places within a kilometre stretch, it's about as close to Tūroa Ski Area as you can get in terms of accommodation. The unit was nice and warm when I arrived. Natalie was very friendly and helpful. Like other reviews said, while it's not the most modern, it's definitely sparkling clean! I actually asked Natalie if her husband (who does all the cleaning) cleaned up crime scenes for a living previously! 😂 Thank you for a lovely stay. Will definitely return when coming that way again!

Nothing in particular... Perhaps a casserole bowl would be a nice addition.

The location before visiting Mt Ruapehu is only 20minutes drive away from the motel!! :) My family of 9 were coming from the Wairarapa, therefore we’re going to check in late after office hours, I contacted the facility about this and staff was very friendly, giving instructions to late check in process. Upon arrival, the heaters for both rooms were turned on, making it warm and toasty. The rooms we stayed in all night were very nice and warm despite being closed to Mt. Ruapehu. The bedding, kitchen and bathroom cleanliness was superb! Would recommend!

A friend booked other Ohakune Accom the same night and the pool wasn't working which they were very disappointed as that's why they booked it. Yet our accommodation had a spa and it was such a nice surprise after a days skiing! Also after a bluebird day up at Turoa it was lovely to see the mountain in all it's glory from the motel.

There wasn't anything I didn't like :)

The only hiccup was that my girlfriend was using the hair dryer with other lights on ... and the power went out. At 9pm. A power board fuse blew, apparently - I popped down to the office to alert and chat and fix this, but after hours, office closed, couldn't chat to management. Next step: locate my room's power board and reset the fuse myself. By lucky chance I discovered the rooms' power boards are outside the rooms, easy access, and so I was able to just reset the fuse and restore power, problem solved. Apologies for messing around with the hotel wiring, it's a rare hotel manager at ease with their guests faffing around with that kind of thing, but looks like the alternative was to spend the night in darkness. This was an incredibly minor issue though, could have happened to anyone.

The room was perfect for our group. Enough room for everyone, good cooking facilities, great having 2 carparks. The owner was so accommodating, l arrived early and she let me check in straight away. Also provided an extra heater to cover the day time gap when wall heaters are turned off. The spa was an added bonus for the snow boarders in our group too. Very comfortable and would definitely book again

Nothing wasn't to our liking

The staff member on reception was kind, welcoming and really helpful. I was picking up two teenagers after a school holiday camp - one developed gastro that night - extra supplies and assistance was very forthcoming.

Slightly odd layout of the 1 bedroom unit as the only bathroom required access through the bedroom. Wouldn't worry a family with young children - as the queen bed was in the lounge area.

We where upgraded to a bigger room much appreciated as we had our teenage grandson with us. The beds where crisp and clean sheets and comfortable. The room was quiet and shower good pressure. Best of all warm rooms just amazing when cold. Loved staying will be back with more family.

We enjoyed staying nothing to type. Didn't use electric blankets they weren't necessary but check plugs under bed in bedroom exposed wiring. Probably nothing.

Comfortable & convenient, good location for our needs. Room was clean and had all we needed. Didn't use spa pool but good to know there was that option.

As it was very cold and we had provided arrival time, we would have thought the heater would be on to take the chill off the room, would have been quite unpleasant if we had arrived later. Also no towel rails in bathroom, had to hang towels over chairs in room.

Room was warm on arrival, towels provided, washing up liquid provided and all utensils we could need. Well equipped. Parking available, only 20 mins to tu roa ski field.

The only thing I would’ve added is some cooking oil. There was everything else but this is something we wouldn’t pack for a two night trip - it could be a nice addition (however not a necessity)

Ohakune Court is a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Situated 10 min walk to township, and 15 min to Rail Station bars and eateries. Had view of Mountain. Facilities are not flashy, but perfectly functional. Room was very clean, warm, bed comfy, linen crisp and clean. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water, great after a day on the slopes. Would be great if had a stovetop for coffee pot, will bring a plunger next time, or if would be provided, that would be awesome.👍

Only the odd noise from first floor apartment.
