What a fantastic place to stay, we will being staying again when we are next in Ohakune, loved the atmosphere of the whole place, restaurant upstairs was warm and cozy and the staff went out of their way to make sure our dinner was perfect, as did the other restaurant for breakfast...and the pool what a bonus..loved it... the auto doors are rather special. thankyou for a great stay. only thing was the pillows were too thick, if there were thin and thick ones the stay would have been perfect.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but none that are like this. The place was fantastic, and it's easy to see that cleanliness and standards matter. The bathroom was spotless, even the light fittings were spotless. The high-sided bath is big enough for two people and was an incredible way to relax at the end of a long drive. The woman at reception was super lovely and phoned us to see if we would be checking in late (which I really appreciated), and nothing was an issue. Breakfast was lovely and I can't complain about the price. A really lovely spot and I hope to stay here again!

The staff made the experience great. I saw room cleaners laughing in the hallway as they worked which made us laugh, (joyful workplace), the woman who brought us our room service was professional, polite and courteous and the receptionist were also very helpful when needed.

Water ran hot then cold in the shower (inconsistent temperature) Expensive mini bar considering the price of the rooms.

Close to Turoa ski field and ski hire shop. Loved the room - felt like a ski lodge. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony for a drink. Great to have a mini bar (paid). Bed super comfortable. Room was very warm and we didn’t need to put the heat pump on. Heating cupboard for wet clothes in the bathroom. Bathroom is a little dated but great shower and big bath. Shared Laundry on the floor. Enjoyed the breakfast, the lively atmosphere in the restaurant/pub and the friendly staff.

The guests in the rooms on the second floors can hear the steps and bathroom use of the guests on the third floor. We were lucky with the guests around us but if you are sensitive to noise book a room on the third floor.

The fireplace and heat pump kept the house lovely and cozy and warm (and dried our snow gear) the whole stay especially after a day at the snow, spacious accomodation with everything you could need, bar/restaurant within small walk from house with lovely staff, teenage son loved the hot pool!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were great, used the pool - this could have been heated a bit warmer but otherwise great. Nice food!

Pool could have been a bit warmer. Back side of property where room was located was a bit dark as no sun on this side. However, room was warm - great thick curtains and heatpump. Cosy!

Very modern rustic ski chalet-type decor with contemporary bathroom decor. The room & bed were comfortable. The warm room and hot shower are ideal in cold weather. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and professional.

Our room only had one USB outlet (wished there were at least two). The shower floor was contiguous with the remaining bathroom floor. Taking a shower will get the entire bathroom floor wet. As expected, the on-site restaurant was expensive. If they had a king size bed, that would've made our stay perfect,

Loved the olde worlde chateau feel of this place. It went perfectly with the mountain setting. Also the super heated pool was a bonus after the long walk.

The timber structure means you can hear the neighbours walking around above a little. There are notices in the rooms to be mindful of other guests which I liked.

Beautiful chalet hotel with nice restaurant and good size rooms. Comfortable bed and all very clean. Also nice to have laundry facilities available. Nice little walk along river to the town although not much open apart from nice cafe.

Area a little bit quiet in November. Shower sometimes goes a bit hot and cold.

The rooms were comfortable and beautiful The beds were comfortable and clean and the wooden decor was a lovely touch. Rooms had an aircon which was lovely The heated indoor pool was relaxing and gorgeous

The swimming pool hours were limited. When on holiday you want to make the most of each day but the pool closed too early at 9pm so didn’t get to use it in the evening. Room service was also limited after 9pm with hardly any options and no desserts. There was a very small and limited continental breakfast that seemed over priced at $24 which was more expensive than an ordered cooked meal
