Location is only a short walk to cafes and the centre of the small town. Lovely views when the clouds lifted off the mountain. Room was small but had a nice little kitchenette to make tea/coffee or a simple meal. Bathroom was enormous! Great hot water and water pressure. Parking right in front of unit was great. Room had everything you needed for a short stay. As it wasn’t ski season we didn’t use wet clothes locker or spa facilities. Lots of places to choose for food and drinks. A small supermarket in town for necessary supplies was good.

Room was very dark with blinds down for privacy. If a skylight was possible in bathroom this would be a bonus. A small sitting area outdoors would also have been nice. Rooms at front have a view of sorts, but also traffic noise. Price was ok but as it wasn’t ski season out of season, more of a reduction of prices would have encouraged a longer stay.

There was only one armchair. Communication with reception was poor: I had to call directly to know which was my room and how to get in and nobody left the key inside the room, so the morning after we had to look for someone and call again and again to get the key. We were welcomed by two giant spider webs just in front of the door and someone was at home... Not happy with that but still ok. Maybe an aracnophobic wouldn't have been so relaxed. (How couldn't you remove it while cleaning the room?!?!?!) The window above the bunker bed (we knew about that) is something crazy. Bunk bed is not cosy.

Just booked a night for a group of 8 in Ohakune, and it was spot on for our snow trip. The location is fantastic—only 20-30 minutes from Turoa and right in the heart of Ohakune, just a short 3-5 minute walk to restaurants. The rooms were clean, tidy, and each had a kitchenette, which added to the spacious feel. The check-in process was seamless, with clear instructions sent hours before arrival. We had 2 double bed rooms and one with a double bed and a bunk bed—perfect for winding down with a game of cards after a day on the slopes. Beds were comfortable, too. Overall, a great stay, and we'd definitely book again for another snow trip.

Conveniently located, a short walk to everything you need in Ohakune. Nice walking path directly behind the property. I was at the front so I had a nice view of Mt Ruhapehu and the beautiful sunset each afternoon. Sufficient cooking facilities if not dining out.

The soundproofing, it wasn't intrusive but you could hear your neighbour in the next room. Info sheet started a drying room and locker but I could find it.

Kids loved #9 room Loved the bunk beds and wanted a room like this at home. Close in town good for an old fart who can't walk tofar. Comfy beds , before sleeping kids changed beds over n over . Shower pressure not great , at home we have a PowerShower. Found it odd that I never saw anyone in office but it all worked out ... Would love to return when there is more snow , we liked room 9 and parking round back . And next time bring mum ,so we won't leave our stuff behind . Super clean! Was perfect! The views were stunning! My partner and I stayed a night and could mount ruapehu in the night and morning, was honestly breath taking! Big tv and with YouTube and Netflix! Heat pump heated up room fast! Everything in the room was in good condition! Shower is high pressure and super hot water! Would highly recommend!! Was walking distance to restaurants and park so perfect for families😊.

Excellent host communication and location! Very clean and great kitchenware. Nice view of Rapehu too.

It is a noisy road throughout the night making it the least comfortable couple of night sleep of the entire trip. You can also hear the next room (walking, talking and cabinets) Even though I got a more expensive due to the view, I wouldn’t stay again because of the disturbance.

Self-check in was very easy. Our room had mountain view. There was a beautiful creek and lake and the sound of it was really soothing. The rooms were clean and bright. Loved the variety of tea selections. The smart TV was a plus, watched Netflix and You tube. Really nice restaurants within walking distance. Went to the Indian Restaurant "Magic Chilli' and their food was one of the best we have tried. Highly recommend.

All the wires for one of the TVs were unplugged. There's only one bin which is under the hand basin in the bathroom. Would be handy to have a couple more.

Loves the close proximity to the mountains as well as the many different restaurants around it. Definitely a great location for a vacation. A very cute water stream next to the property as well. Great heating and near modern amenities.

The bathroom could use a little update. When showering in the bathroom, the floor sinked in a bit and was a bit wobbly. The insides of the duvet was a bit brownish but maybe that could be a hard to get rid of stain. But overall nothing bad at all.

The light over the handbasin did not work. There was a strange pushin switch on the bathroom light switch, which seemed to do nothing. There is no local information in the room. There are no instructions for using the TV. The main door did not quite fit into its frame (only seen from the inside). I would imagine coldwind coming in during the winter. Staff were non existent.
