Staff were lovely - basic facilities. Warm, great room service, nicely appointed kitchen.

Had a stuffy smell, bathroom badly laid out, the location is unfortunately next to a depot, tired furnishings. But compared to options in Thames - I think we did well.

Location was good, we did not have breakfast. Very clean & tidy, shower had great pressure.

Would have preferred a King Size bed instead of a Queen, and there was enough room for one. We are in the later stages of life, and really who buys queen beds now. We stay in a lot of accommodation, both in NZ and overseas and very few now have Queen beds. ( The beds themselves were comfortable enough. )

There was an issue with the microwave just as we were getting a meal ready and the staff assessed it immediately and replaced it when they couldn't get it working. That's what I appreciate. Not problem free but problems fixed promptly.

Afew hickups on our end pre check-in, manager was extremely accomodating and helped sort things without a fuss! Made our stay very stressfree and relaxing! Room was massive, tv was huge, shower had a strong water pressure and the shower dome helped keep the bathroom dry. Kitchen with everything you need, and plenty mirrors and powerpoints to assist getting ready for a summer wedding. Quiet strong Aircon kept us cool, helping us sleep through the night. Lovely big windows overlooking the garden and pool. Loved the charging pads on the bedside lamps! Late checkout was just what we needed! Thank you Avalon Motel :)

I didnt like that we couldnt stay longer!

Spacious unit with ranchslider opening onto patio with own outdoor furniture, and looking onto the pool in which I enjoyed a lovely dip while my partner watched on with a beer. Beautiful grounds. Very relaxing. Main road runs right by and there was some traffic noise as to be expected but we both slept well and didn't notice that when doors and windows shut at night due to the double glazing (there was air con so didn't need to open windows). Exceptionally clean and very personable host. Would stay again.

We should've planned to stay longer!!!

the room was big clean and comfortable. the pool was also well kept and modern I would have given it 10 out of 10 but the room I had was right next to the pool pump that was a bit noisy but not the end of the world

really clean comfortable rooms, seemed pricy for a motel, but the staff were very friendly and the room were great so clean and well maintained comfy bed nice big telly , its located just on the edge of town , easy walking distance to the centre.

Very roomy accommodation. Nice view over the pool. Well equipped.

Ants in my cereal packet, had to throw it away. Somehow the ants found the packet on the kitchen counter.

Very clean and beautifully presented with imaginative towel arrangements.

My husband didn't like the awkward bathroom door. A sliding door might work better.

it was a larger space than i expected. Small kitchenette was well appointed. Had everything we needed
