Really tidy and cute place to stay. Everything that we needed just staying overnight for a wedding. The property let us check in earlier and had no issues and check out was easier then a lot of other places we have stayed. Good selection of teas and coffees. We would definitely stay again!

There was no hand soap, however we did ask to check in earlier and I’m sure if we had asked at reception they would have given us some but we had 40 mins to get ready when we got there before we needed to leave for a wedding and got back late that night. We did have hand soap in the car so no big issue for us.

The bed and blankets were extremely comfortable. I liked all the tasteful decorating touches adding charm and a touch of luxury including the coffee machine fixtures and art. We also liked the sea view which we appreciated outside our kitchen window in the morning overlooking a pleasant garden area.

The carpark spot allocated was a little difficult to maneuver with other cars in place. Although quaint and charming the small apartment itself was a little dated with more modern ones adjacent that may have been expected per the photos.

Location was great with a stroll along the waterfront to the shops. Staff were helpful. Linen & room were clean with a huge bed. Customer service was great & a problem was resolved quickly without any hassle.

The dining chairs were filthy (see photo). They also rely on previous guests washing up properly, but don't check. We had to wash all cutlery & saucepan 's etc before use. The BBQ was a mess of congealed grease, but when we complained, the staff replaced it with a clean one which was great. Bit pricey for the age of the motel.

We got a free upgrade from a studio chalet to a 1 brm unit, which was great. Really comfortable bed. Good sized bedroom. Small shower, but great water pressure. Large lounge area and good size table and chairs. Kitchenette with fridge/freezer, and 2 burner induction hob. Awesome fry pans and pot. Great patio area out the back of the unit,

Wifi was really slow. TV had very limited channels

The chalet was a good size and in good condition and had a private seating area outside. It had a fridge/freezer too. We walked into the town and along the waters edge quite easily. The staff we met were very pleasant and easy to contact once we had a valid number.

No one on reception so we had to self check in. Telephone number on booking .com booking was invalid. The 0800 number worked though.

Although had booked Chalet, we were placed in an older unit.. It was very clean, bed comfortable,, shower good pressure and had been done uo in the past to look more modern. The benifit of the older unit was that there was hardley any traffic noise, as it was further back from the road.

No sheer curtains just blinds. which didn't worry us that much because we were just overnight stay, but you were open for viewing if someone walked past.

I like that the room was clean and beds were comfy. Also plus factor that it's really a value for money. We loved that we can cook some easy to prepare food as we got very tired with our itinerary so it's nice to be able to be able to prepare food at the hotel.

tight parking space. :( was unfortunate that the other guest didn't give much space for us to parallel park. would be nice if parking space is bigger.

Very nice staff, shovels and body boards to rent for free, clean room, nice big terrace. Tairua is easy to stay at, quite a few shops and places to get food and also some beaches close by.

It got really really hot towards the evening (kid's bedtime) in the bedroom. Also, there were some ants in the kitchen (on the floor), not too much of a problem though since it was cleaned everyday.

The location was great, easy walk around the estuary to the shops etc. the cabin was very spacious, good kitchen facilities, lovely tiled bathroom and small private outdoor area to lounge or dine outside. The Hosts were very friendly and obliging if we required anything. Would definitely stay here again.

Air conditioning unit didn’t really cool the room.

Fab motel, everyone is really helpful and friendly. Super close to the town and beach. Easy to walk, too. Lovely little private deck area off the unit. Which was great.

My only comment is I thought a washing machine would be in the unit, There is a washing machine which is communal.
