Even though on the main road, it was relatively quiet, especially at night. The motel was reasonably full but I wasn't disturbed by other guests, so the sound-proofing between units must be reasonably good. This was also my experience when I stayed a year ago. (While out of the motel's control), this time I wasn't woken early by the neighbour's dog barking which was a bonus. The bed was reasonably comfortable, too.

Only a minor thing: I found the little fridge on the noisy side so I switched it off overnight as I didn't need it on.

The look of the unit as I opened the door - clean, modern, nice colours - was very inviting. Despite being on the main road into the town, the unit (at the back) was surprisingly quiet. The sound-proofing must have been quite good as I wasn't disturbed by the guests either side, except when they entered and left their units. The bed was pretty comfortable. Also, it was a pleasant surprise to pay a single (1 person) rate, which is very rare these days. It's not a huge saving but it's nice to have acknowledged that it costs a little less for one person than two (e.g. fewer towels to wash and free supplies).

Nothing that was within the control of the motel owners: the dog next door was barking very early. Apart from that, I really can't complain.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The location was great—close to the beach (by car) and the lovely small town, which we really enjoyed. The staff was friendly, and the unit was well-equipped. Parking just in front of the unit. However, we didn’t like the beds much, as they weren’t very stable and kept moving away from the wall. On a positive note, there’s a fantastic Indian restaurant nearby that we highly recommend!

The accommodation is very spacious. 2 beds. Kitchen is very practical. Better than most accommodation kitchens I have seen. Big enough size pot and pan, and containers. And variety of knifes. Stoves are very powerful. The air conditioning is very warm. And I like the classic heater.

The shower water is not strong and not hot enough. The shampoo carton stuck.. Shampoo hardly come out. My bedroom has no power plug?

The Blake Court Motel was extremely comfortable and offered value for money. It was a short walk into town and close to all that Whangamata has to offer. We really enjoyed the stay and would return in a heart beat.

Nothing really, only my wife would have loved access to the Feijoa trees that adorned the fence line of the rear of the property. The windows did not open far enough for her to retrieve he favorite fruit.

Bed is bouncy and super comfy Great WIFI Excellent air con Compendium and magazines and printed guides available- super helpful and important for tourists. Location is few minutes drive away from beach and shops-can’t get any better

Great location, close walking distance to town. Had everything you need for a night away.

No extras or additional facilities so quite expensive for what it was, the only thing you got for the price was location. A shame as we are not beach town tourists, just wanted to visit our friends who live there.

This was good functional motel for a short stay and I imagine it rates well with its competitors. Its very clean and provides everything the traveller might need. it’s well away from the town and beach so you do need a car. The bed was exceedingly comfortable, as were the pillows. Staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are big and inviting. Everything you would want really. Thanks for a pleasant stay,

Nothing to comment on. It looks a bit austere from the outside with a tennis court sized parking area but once you get to the rooms it’s a nice home away from home,

Lovely Motel ! Really enjoyed our stay! The man who check us in was so friendly and helpful, gave us lots of information about the area! The room was really spacious with a good kitchen! Comfortable beds and nice bathroom (wet room)! Stunning beach just down the road! Short stroll into town.

That we only stayed one night, we were sorry we didn’t allow for more time in the area! We would definitely comeback!

What a perfect place to stay!! Could not rate it higher. Our room was very clean and tidy with everything we required. The beds were so comfy and having a full stove to cook breakfast before checkout was amazing!!! Plus we arrived early and requested an early check in which was kindly accepted!! Location was perfect - thank you!!!

Wish we could have stayed longer - but we will definitely be re-booking when we come back to Whangamata!!
