Good location for visiting the area. Waihi beach is fine. A bit of a way to Hobbiton and Mount Manganui beach, but both well worth the extra time. Gold discovery centre in town is very informative.

Internet connection was very poor; however this appears to be something to do with the provider and UK laptops/phones as we've had no problems anywhere else in NZ, across 7 visits covering 10+ months. Owner was very helpful in trying to solve this issue.

It was very clean, new, comfy, more than cozy. It is spacious. Well-appointed. Friendly hosts there at the start and end, otherwise didn't see them. Waihi is a small town, and its got a few nice cafes, and you are close to some nice beachside places at Waihi Beach, and the gorge and historic gold mine as well. I would happily return again, though if I had the discretion and didn't leave it to the last moment, I'd be looking to pay $150-170/night for this place, not $NZ212/night. Not complaining though; gotta meet the market.

Very little negative to say. More of a cautionary note: a. Watch you don't slip on the shower floor - its that clean b. Some of the windows are big enough to climb through, so make sure you lock them before you leave the unit. This is not to say I have any insight about the crime problem in the area.

Gaylene & Greg are the perfect hosts. Friendly and approachable, and at the same time considerate of our privacy. The accommodation was spotless,and the bed very comfortable. Will definitely go back.

Good location, clean and tidy, modern and comfortable. We got a text message on the day we were checking in to say that everything was ready and when we arrived there was a lovely greeting! We had both places and around the back, you can go between them both which is ideal.

There was some road noise but nothing I’m not used to. Not bad but just to be aware of.

I enquired about gluten free options for breakfast, but was brushed off as though I was being difficult. So for me, breakfast was non-existent. Vegan or vegetarian is a choice, gluten free is not

Spacious and light-filled studio, very quiet neighborhood, fast and reliable wifi, private backyard perfect for drying wetsuits and surfboards. Everything is very convenient, and the hosts are wonderful. I really appreciated the delicious passionfruit from their garden they shared with me and the laundry facilities I was able to use free of charge. I felt at home right away and wished I could have stayed longer.

Such a welcome amd friendly space, very clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful hosts, who were great at responding to messages. Breakfast was fruit, cereal and toast options. Room had almost everything you could need to boil water, refrigerate food and reheat or prepare it. And it was a short walk to town.

Absolutely beautiful stay, extremely clean, tidy and wonderful location. With winter upon us, I love warmth, so an electric blanket or air con unit instead of electric heater would have been more preferable. Not a criticism at all, superb stay over all

Loved the unit, was so clean and tidy and very homely. Continental breakfast was a nice gesture. The owners were very warm and welcoming.

No air con, but was provided with a fan.

The unit was beautifully presented, and we were welcomed when we arrived and shown where everything was, how to use tv etc they are so accommodating and lovely to deal with. Will definitely be visiting again ☺️
