Our stay at the Waihi Motel was a delightful surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the motel's friendly and welcoming owner. Her warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The motel itself was beautifully clean and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and inviting, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. While the decor might be a bit dated, it didn't detract from the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facilities. We were particularly impressed with the amenities, which were all in excellent condition. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was spotless. Overall, our stay at the Waihi Motel was fantastic. We were so comfortable and impressed with the quality of the accommodation. We would definitely recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay there again in the future.

Basic Motel clean and basic equipped with all amenities needed close to town centre and local attractions such as goldfields experience and goldfields railway, with coast only 20 mins away

The motel is next to a main road and all through the night heavy timber lorries etc passed by so disrupting our sleep, not the Motels fault, perhaps we pick a busy time unfortunately

Well located near the high street of Waihi. Rooms were very clean and had everything needed for a short stay - fridge, AC, toiletries etc. Easy on site parking and SKY TV (including Sports) standard with the room. Keeping in mind this motel is located on state highway there can be some road noise, however with the AC on it was hardly noticeable. We had a very comfy stay.

Nothing - its a great value motel that was very clean. Would stay here again.

Really lovely welcoming lady. The room is the cleanest motel I have ever stayed in. Not to mention the location is very close to the central area, with a museum, cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. It's a 10-minute drive to Waihi Beach. I will definitely come back again in the near future.

Tidy and very convenient to walk around in town and shops

When I was told that I can’t have my visitors for more than an hour…they’re people who drop us off from Auckland and want to have a lil rest and toilet break especially my friends lil kids that came along too for 2 hours drive and 2 hours drive back….should have told me or remind me when I went in to pickup our keys rather than barging at the door and telling me off…not a good costumer service to me but apart from that everything was ok…

Location just where we needed to be for the event we were attending in nearby Whangamata the next day

Was a bit hard to communicate with the staff through English not being their first language but they were very friendly and accommodating

It was tidy and suitable for our needs for sleeping. Hostess was kind and polite and the general state of motel was good.

I didn’t like the toilet paper dispenser in their loo as it took up space when sitting on the toilet and really not necessary.

We have stayed here before, it was almost as good as before, but I think it was different staff last time. It's ideally located, and suited us perfectly. They had put an oven in, which restricted kitchen space, but everything was up to date. Some scissors would be an asset in the kitchen, for opening packages!!.

I unrolled a "fresh" towel for my shower prior to vacating, and it was marked with what appeared to be makeup!! I don't use makeup, so it had not been washed out!! Otherwise, it was great, and we will be back!!

Big private unit, close to town and near a supermarket. The beds were comfortable. Big kitchen that was well equipped. Big shower with good water pressure. And a little outdoor balcony out the back of the upstairs room, Overall a great place to stay.

The toilet roll holder is bulky especially with trying to navigate your way into the toilet with 2 doors going into it.
