The Hotel is rumored to be haunted. I like that aspect and was informed of the resident ghosts room. Next time I can book to stay in that room. Everything I needed to stay one night was in the room. I shared toilets but that meant the cost was low.

The bed was very old and the springs were very squeaky. But this did add to the oldness and character of a hotel built in the 1840s. The only other "bad" thing is that you have the music and bar noise until 1230am on a Friday and Saturday night but you are told about this in the booking. I just took a headphone headband to cancel some of the noise out.

Great location and price for the night. Old hotel historic hotel with great bones. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Shared bathrooms. Ate in lounge bar, food was good, large portions. We were up for night checking out local horse event so overall perfect for our needs and good value for money. 😊

Lovely old building, could definitely do with a bit of a refurb. Shared bathrooms not ideal, squeaky floorboards and very sticky room doors make you worry you're waking the whole place if you get up to use the loo in the night! 😂

The food and staff were excellent.

I didn't dislike anything, the beds and bedding were a little dated but they're renovating so after that itll be great

Awesome vibes, bit of live music, friendly locals, great staff. Accommodation was comfortable and clean. Had a great time, will definitely go back. Highly recommended.

The whole atmosphere of the Kentish was amazing and the staff were so accommodating to our needs thankyou so much we will be staying there again in the future

Room 2 curtain is partially off the curtain rail, probably not noticed until they are pulled at night Not being picky just thought it may not have been seen

The Lady manager is a no nonsense woman whom I have much respect for. She is an asset to the Kentish Hotel. I will stay there in future because I am always met with good vibes, hassel free reservations and a kind smile 😃

Everything. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. The food was tasty. Service was exceptional.

There wasn't anything not to like.

Was hoping we had a deck view... as lived in Waiuku 20 years.. could stayed with many friends.. but enjoyed my stay ..got a raisin to stay .. danced all nite .. awesome dejay... great people..

Location couldn't be better. Clean, spacious rooms. Surprisingly quiet for a central location.

Maybe sharing a toilet but I realize the price would be higher, in which case I would stick with sharing.
