Clean and tidy rooms. Comfortable bed

Even though I booked through Booking.com I had to show ID , sign paperwork and then I was told $100 would be taken out of my credit card immediately in case of damages . I have never had to pay , the usual procedure is they will hold your credit card number, which is absolutely fine and understandable. I was pretty annoyed that the payment came out immediately, and when leaving I had to go to the desk to sign more paperwork to say we had " checked out" for the refund...that would apparently take 3 to 5 working days! Still waiting and we are day 4.

The facility isn’t very aged or disability friendly eg your revolving door, I witnessed an elderly woman actually quite frightened to enter, she had an impairment in one leg, eventually a staff member realised she couldn’t enter and assisted her… I believe your side ( locked) door should be signed to ring for assistance for those that require assistance…. Also the buggies which assist can only come so far in their drop off from my experience, I had to assist my 97 year old mother up the walkway in less than appropriate weather, as Māori we tautoko our kaumātua and those with maimai , just a thought BUT an important one

After traveling for the past 5 weeks and staying in multiple types of accommodations, this hotel was pure heaven to come to and rest before our final leg home in the morning. Location was perfect. The room was extremely modern in facilities and decor. It had everything! Stunning !!!

There was only 1 biscuit pack. Had to share a biscuit with my husband haha :) As much as I joke about it an easy remedy would be to supply 1 biscuit in every room like you do now however you see you have another person is staying at check in so this bus a great opportunity to be given another pack right then and there. Many people will say they don’t need one and that’s fine and saves you as a business. No waste.

We stayed the night of 31 October and checked out the morning of 1 November. On checking in we paid, with our credit card a preauthorisation fee of $100. This amount has yet to be credited (8 November) back to our account. I contacted Novotel reception and find that the amount has been released to the ANZ bank and will be 7-10 days before it is deposited in our account. We understood that the hotel would deposit the fee back into our account (as they took it out) but evidently we have to contact the bank to find why this has taken so long. We are quite disappointed with this process.

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THAT THE LOCATION IS SO CONVENIENT HAVE USED THIS HOTEL 3 X DUE TO LOCATION 1ST. FRONT DESK SERVICE SPOT ON. FOR THE FIRST TIME WAS ABLE TO HAVE DINNER AT THE BAR ,I ORDERED FILLET STEAK AND GLAZED HONEY CARROTS, THIS WAS 10/10 STEAK WAS PERFECT !!!... HAD TO STOP MYSELF FROM LICKING THE PLATE CLEAN. IT WAS THE BEST STEAK I HAVE HAD IN A LONG TIME...THANKYOU TO ALL THE CHEFS IN THE KITCHEN FOLLOWED BY THE BEAUTIFUL DESERT. THANKYOU TO ALL STAFF THAT NIGHT... WAS A NICE WAY TO END MY HOLIDAY.

THERE WAS NOTHING NEGATIVE ABOUT THE HOTEL. BAR THE BAD WEATHER OUTSIDE.

The Novotel at the Auckland airport was the nicest hotel we stayed in when visiting NZ. We were part of a tour group and on the way home we spent one night at the Novotel and I am so happy we did. If we go to Auckland again, we would definitely stay at this hotel. It is clean, and modern, with a cool bathroom. The room had the best bed ever over any of the other hotels during our three week visit around NZ. I highly recommend this hotel. And it is right at the airport so you can walk over there from the terminal. And although it is at the airport, you cannot hear any take offs or landings. The rooms are very quiet.

The shower floor was not leveled properly and the water kept running across the floor making it very slippery.

Location is great being across from the international terminal. Staff always friendly & helpful.

We arrived quite late at 11pm. The room was advertised as having a coffee maker but there was none in the room when we arrived. The fridge was empty not having a mini bar or at least a couple of bottles of water. We were too tired to go back to the airport looking for water so used water out of the bathroom tap. There was no milk for coffee although there might've been creamer sachets in the drawer, anyway ended up having a black. Should've called room service in hindsight.

The staff was very helpful as I needed to provide paper work to the Qantas staff which needed to be printed. I also needed help putting my regular sim card back into my phone and needed to charge my phone. The staff helped me across to departments with my luggage and I'm very greatful. Thankyou Novotel staff.

My own foolishness in not asking for assistance at the breakfast food place. I was using a disability walking device and the plate was difficult to hold. I look back and realise there was sraff people i could have asked but was too embarrassed.

The front desk agent who helped us check in was AMAZING!!! When booking, there was no option for double beds so we booked a king size bed for our party of 7. However, the amazing agent was able to find us double beds so everyone can sleep comfortably on our overnight layover. The staff was friendly. The location is TOP TIER. To be able to come out customs and cross the street over with 4carts of luggage’s and not have to worry about taxi, or an extra expense..the location across from terminal is the best. My family and i loved it here.

The only thing we wished, which is more of a personal preference…was to have a pool. But the little kids corner nook was just as good for entertainment.

I emailed the venue twice to book the restaurant and did not get a response. On my departure, I realised I had left an item of clothing in the hanging wardrobe and contacted the property within half an hour of checking out, to organise for it to be placed in lost property, for my collection on my return booking at the end of my trip. When I returned to the venue I was told that no property had been found in the room, despite me having only vacated half an hour beforehand, with no housekeeping in attendance at that point. Although it was my error for forgetting the item I am very disappointed that the process for recovery of left items has failed in this instance, and there is no process for me to reclaim my lost property.
