The room was clean.

The spa wasn’t working. The tv remote wasn’t working. One of the lights in the lounge kept on flickering. Didn’t feel the staff at reception was friendly and welcoming when we arrived.

This is an older property, but it is spotlessly clean with tea and coffee facilities, and toiletries. The air conditioning worked well and quietly. The staff could not have been more helpful and the shuttle service worked well.

The motel is next to a busy road and there is some traffic noise at night/early morning. It didn’t disturb me but could be an issue for some guests. Although there were cooking/fridge/freezer facilities in the room there was nowhere nearby to buy food so if you are on an airport layover your only option is to go to a nearby hotel and dine there.

I always book at this spot I have never had issues . The receptionist was lovely very friendly. The cleaners were on point . Very nice always had a smile . How ever this time I had brought my two daughters with me , and had the manger of the property with I’m assuming her partner come to my room at 10:15 pm knocking asking if there was a problem. I had replied no. I didn’t open the door I opened the window . Cause I was with my two girls & wasn’t expecting any visitors at that time . They then proceeded to tell me the people below my room had been complaining about the noise for a whole hour . I then told them that I am a family with kids , and my kids just got into bed . I really didn’t appreciate her and that man approach on the situation . They didn’t even tell me who they were , for all I knew they could have been to crack heads that walked off the street. I’m a mother of two girls and she comes to my room with herself and her partner . I just felt unsafe and unwelcomed . She was not nice about it at all about . There is a way to approach things . And she did not approach it in the right manner.

The property manager. I would expect the manager of the property to have a badge . Or something for me to know who she is . Approaching a women’s room with two young kids in the middle of the night with a man without introducing themselves is very bad practice, and not great manners . Have in mind I booked 3 nights for a business meeting. The next day I went to return the room key card . And she called out . As she was not in the office . Didn’t say anything about the situation or anything . Feel super uneasy. I normally not the type of customer who is picky or anything . But cause of this one incident I just felt like it’s not okay. & I paid for a room . And was made to feel unsafe and not welcomed.

The young man who took us to the airport and then picked us up at midnight from the airport is a real asset to your company. I hope you are looking after him in order to keep him. I dropped my phone at the airport. When I came back to the motel he was on the phone to a person who had picked it up. I was able to coordinate how to get it back. He was brilliant. We have recommended your motel/hotel to many other people. Keep up the great work. The refurbishing you are doing will greatly increase the appeal of the business. If you can try not to overprice the motel/hotel. Overall we love coming to stay here.

Dean the shuttle drivers was polite, welcoming, and really made me feel welcomed and happy to assist with anything needed.You need to phone the shuttle to say you're ready for pick up, a group of tourist hadn't made a call and waited a few minutes more, it was lovely to see him so polite and trying to make their journey as good as possible, when dealing with big language barrier as no one in the group seemed to speak English. Please know that Dean is a great asset to the company, As a single female traveler in an unknown city it was awesome to know he was their to help with anything I might need.

on another note, i was in a downstairs unit in a darker area, Tourists, please check windows and doors to make sure they are fully closed and locked. The previous tenant had unlocked the bathroom window and the lounge window. Once I had everything locked up tight it was fine.

The main reason we chose BKs Pioneer Motel was their free Airport Shuttle as we were only staying one night, between two flights. We were not disappointed, the drivers were very helpful and provided an excellent service, both picking up from the airport at night and taking us back there in the morning. The room was very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the whole experience was very positive.

The Motel staff were excellent but the Airport staff did not seem to know where the pick-up place for the Domestic Terminal is, and it is not signposted at all, as far as we could tell. So we were misdirected at first. Fortunately the driver of the Motel shuttle found us after a couple of brief phone calls and all was well.

This motel is in an excellent position for the airport with a hotel with bar and reasonably priced bar food next door. It is on a busy road but the way it is laid out meant rooms are quiet and with a very comfortable bed this ensured an excellent night of sleep. The airport shuttle was a fantastic service and is the reason why I would stay in this motel again without any hesitation.

The rooms are very clean but just slightly dated. Outside chair and table under the verandas would be an excellent addition for hot days. Cold water in the fridge or a jug to enable you to chill water would be excellent.

The hotel was the perfect place to stay for a late night pick up of family from the airport being less than 15 minutes from the airport. We stayed in a One-Bedroom Suite and this was one of the few hotels which offered this type of suite with a bedroom and two single beds in the living room, at a reasonable rate. This meant we didn't have to all sleep in one small room. The unit was spacious and had basic kitchen facilities. Parking was bit tight but there seemed to be just enough spots.

The bathroom could do with a deeper clean. It wasn't dirty as such - the shower, sink, toilet and main surfaces seemed clean enough, but it was a bit grimy around the edges.

One of the biggest motel rooms ever, very clean, comfortable bed, spa bath, good sized towels, comfortable sofa, microwave, dishes, plenty of amenities, plenty of parking. Their free hourly shuttle service is very convenient. Only 5 minutes to the airport.

The TV was a bit small for the size of the room; sitting on the bed to watch, it's a bit small for the size of the room. A bit of traffic noise, but my room was the furthest from the road, so not bad.

This is our 'go to' place for our (inevitably) early morning flight from Auckland back to Aus. Rooms are always very clean and tidy, provide all the essential amenities, and the location to the airport is pretty darn convenient. Special mention this time around to the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful.

Venue itself is great, but the surrounding suburb is fairly typical airport/industrial area so dining options are limited. It was also surprisingly difficult to refuel the car as the nearest station was actually out of fuel! (almost as bad as a pub with no beer!)
