Clean and tidy rooms. Comfortable bed

Even though I booked through Booking.com I had to show ID , sign paperwork and then I was told $100 would be taken out of my credit card immediately in case of damages . I have never had to pay , the usual procedure is they will hold your credit card number, which is absolutely fine and understandable. I was pretty annoyed that the payment came out immediately, and when leaving I had to go to the desk to sign more paperwork to say we had " checked out" for the refund...that would apparently take 3 to 5 working days! Still waiting and we are day 4.

We stayed the night of 31 October and checked out the morning of 1 November. On checking in we paid, with our credit card a preauthorisation fee of $100. This amount has yet to be credited (8 November) back to our account. I contacted Novotel reception and find that the amount has been released to the ANZ bank and will be 7-10 days before it is deposited in our account. We understood that the hotel would deposit the fee back into our account (as they took it out) but evidently we have to contact the bank to find why this has taken so long. We are quite disappointed with this process.

The Novotel at the Auckland airport was the nicest hotel we stayed in when visiting NZ. We were part of a tour group and on the way home we spent one night at the Novotel and I am so happy we did. If we go to Auckland again, we would definitely stay at this hotel. It is clean, and modern, with a cool bathroom. The room had the best bed ever over any of the other hotels during our three week visit around NZ. I highly recommend this hotel. And it is right at the airport so you can walk over there from the terminal. And although it is at the airport, you cannot hear any take offs or landings. The rooms are very quiet.

The shower floor was not leveled properly and the water kept running across the floor making it very slippery.

The front desk agent who helped us check in was AMAZING!!! When booking, there was no option for double beds so we booked a king size bed for our party of 7. However, the amazing agent was able to find us double beds so everyone can sleep comfortably on our overnight layover. The staff was friendly. The location is TOP TIER. To be able to come out customs and cross the street over with 4carts of luggage’s and not have to worry about taxi, or an extra expense..the location across from terminal is the best. My family and i loved it here.

The only thing we wished, which is more of a personal preference…was to have a pool. But the little kids corner nook was just as good for entertainment.

I emailed the venue twice to book the restaurant and did not get a response. On my departure, I realised I had left an item of clothing in the hanging wardrobe and contacted the property within half an hour of checking out, to organise for it to be placed in lost property, for my collection on my return booking at the end of my trip. When I returned to the venue I was told that no property had been found in the room, despite me having only vacated half an hour beforehand, with no housekeeping in attendance at that point. Although it was my error for forgetting the item I am very disappointed that the process for recovery of left items has failed in this instance, and there is no process for me to reclaim my lost property.

Ideal location for the airport. Reception told us it would be a 10-15 min walk to international departures: it was 4 mins!

Many of the electrical outlets in our room didn’t work and the minibar fridge was loose. I let Reception know. Weird Bath: you need a step to get in and out. And the controls are difficult to reach behind the fixed glass panel. The wall to the bedroom from the bathroom is glass, so the night light in the bathroom shines into the bedroom. Style over function - sack the interior architect! And the bar room is soulless - like a train station waiting room. Such a shame.

right next to airport and I was flying in and out again. I was able to extend checkout to a later time for reasonable sum and made a huge difference for me. Bed was comfortable. No airport noise although I could watch aircraft take off. Very friendly and kind check in and out. I am not fond of the restaurant or the service there. Luckily there is food at airport.

The staff were amazing. The receptionist was very friendly, accommodating and polite, with great local knowledge she was able to answer all my queries. The housekeeping supervisor was beautiful and someone should give that woman a raise. Or a weekend treat away with her husband. She needs to be treated special as she made us to feel special. And I'd be surprised if she didn't treat everyone of your guests with such respect and care. The front of house young girl was very polite and hospitable, assisting in taking a photo for us which we appreciated. The ambience in the restaurant was refreshing, with the planted wall a beautiful calming touch of elegance. The staff looked very professional and each staff member held themselves with pride and sophistication. The location was spot on for our purpose. A quick trip to see Lauren Daigle. The facilities were more than adequate. We especially loved the view of the planes coming in, and didn't mind observing the many mechanics that go in to the successful operations of Auckland International Airport. Not to mention the sunset views after dinner. The FOC drinks and snacks were such an appreciated treat. Overall we give our stay a 10 out of 10 and we will definitely come again and recommend to a friend.

Literally across the road from the Auckland airport's international terminal! If you're flying out of NZ early and plan to return your rental car the day before, then this is a lovely luxury level last night in NZ. The staff were excellent and friendly. I had a couple of suitcases left for me before I checked in by a relative and they didn't have any problems keeping is for two nights. The staff even remembered them being dropped off.

I can't think of anything. We stayed at the budget Ibis the last time we were here and while it was cheaper and most cost effective for a whole family, the Novotel is a fantastic indulgence if you're on your own and don't mind the higher price. To me it was worth it

We stayed at the Novotel Auckland Airport Hotel one-night because of its proximity to the airport. We were breaking up our return from Melbourne, Australia to Los Angeles, California. It's literally right next to the terminal. We reserved a suite which was spacious and well-appointed. There was a second TV in the bedroom & the bathroom was large with a soaking tub which was an unexpected extra. The accommodations were very good.

Unfortunately, the dining facilities were not as good as the quality of the rooms. The dinner menu & service was "ok good" but not great. The wine choices were limited to New Zealand wineries. Breakfast buffet was about average for the price,
