Nice warm room, good internet

As a smoker being made to smoke out by the front door felt a little like we were being put on display, why cant we just smoke away from the building? Ordered a Chicken schnitzel on a Friday night at 6.00pm and was told they were out of stock

Conveniently located near the airport it was a great location to be staying at for the first part of our trip - the buffet breakfast and dinner offer we booked wth our accomodation were the icing on the cake and saved us the hassle of stressing about the possible extra expense that comes with travelling and being away from home. The room was clean and away from any noise with comfy beds and pillow options which made for a satisfying nights sleep.

There needs to be some kind of restriction or monitoring of car parking to ensure actual guests staying at the Holiday Inn have spots to park in - on our first night we popped out to grab snacks from a local supermarket and on return had to wait about 20mins for a spot to become available.

Holiday Inn Auckland Airport by IHG is a hidden gem that completely surprised us. Unlike typical airport hotels, it feels more like a cozy resort surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect retreat after a long flight. The location is super convenient—just minutes from the airport, with easy access to the Yellow Bus for transfers if needed. Parking close to our room was a huge plus, especially when juggling luggage and kids. The on-site restaurant impressed us too; the pizza and quick room service were definite highlights. We came back and stayed again on our return trip, and honestly, we’ll definitely be coming again in the future! While it’s a bit of a drive to Auckland’s city center, this hotel is ideal for airport layovers or a peaceful escape on the outskirts. With its top-notch service, great food, and relaxing atmosphere, it’s a spot we’ll happily return to.

Resort-like feel: This doesn’t feel like a typical airport hotel—it's surrounded by greenery, giving it a cozy, relaxed, resort-style vibe. Convenient location: Just minutes from Auckland Airport, with the Yellow Bus available if needed for airport transfers. Easy parking: Loved that we could park close to our room—made transferring luggage with kids a breeze. Great food: The on-site restaurant was excellent! We especially enjoyed the pizza and the room service—delicious and quick. Repeat-worthy: We liked it so much, we booked another stay on our way back. That says it all! Nearby amenities: While not right in the city, there were shopping malls nearby for anything we needed.

Distance from city center: It’s a bit of a drive to reach central Auckland, so it’s more ideal for airport layovers or a peaceful stay on the outskirts. Overall: A surprisingly charming property with top-notch service, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for airport stays and short breaks. We loved it—and yes, we’ll definitely come again!

Our stay at Holiday Inn Auckland Airport was nothing short of amazing! The environment was peaceful, family-friendly, and surrounded by greenery. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The bathtub was a great addition, providing the perfect way for our family to unwind and relax. The quality of the products was excellent. We also loved the free parking right next to our room, and the gym was well-equipped. The pool was pleasant, though a bit cold. One extra star goes to the pillows—each of us had two, and the pillowcases were embroidered with "Firm" or "Soft." It was an incredible touch to ensure everyone’s comfort. We were impressed with the luggage scale at the entrance and the efficient check-out process. When my son accidentally left his ring at the pool, we called after we had already left for Hamilton and Rotorua. The staff had kept the ring safe and were happy to hold it for us until we could pick it up. The toilets near the entrance were spacious and spotless, and the indoor garden area was simply beautiful and calming. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return!

Close to airport with regular bus service to accommodation, front of house staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable with plenty. Rooms were relatively clean though several marks were on carpet. Complex facilities were great both gym and pool areas were clean and easy to access. Room service was delivered early with a large variety of options. Offer luggage storage and scales for weighing luggage at reception area.

Room service breakfast items weren't the same as ordered on the menu. Only requested one serving of Croisants/muffin/cinnamon scroll yet was provided two lots and charged for these only noticed once i opened the dishes up.

It was amazing value for money! We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay again, close to the airport and had a shuttle too. Tv had all the channels, bed was comfy, everything was clean, maids were lovely, lots of parking and late check out which was so nice!!

Had some issues with the room service menu it wouldn’t load when scanning the barcode on the tv both my partner and I tried it on our phones and it seemed to not work, not a big deal he went down to the restaurant and got us food and coffee instead :) the coffee was perfect!!

This is a little oasis in the middle of a very busy area. We had a downstairs King room with its own little garden outside area near the pool. It was very quiet and it suited us with our car hire return one minute away and the airport close. There is a regular bus if needed . We took half board which was good value for the money and enjoyed our stay.

For us the buffet dinner was not quite what we like to eat, but we noticed the bar food was freshly cooked. Breakfast was good and the fresh eggs were excellent. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel had a nice atmosphere.

I chose this hotel as it had a swimming pool and I figured I might want a swim. Pool was good and grounds have a resort feel. Pool towels at reception but wasn’t obvious to ask for them. A relaxing place to stay before a flight. Is also on the Yellow bus route so getting to and from the airport is easy.

Staff a front counter didn’t seem very well informed about room service options. No room info but apparently this was accessible via the TV screen but this wasn’t obvious. No lift to the 2nd floor - this was ok for me (and is mentioned) but best to be aware of this.

The room was lovely and big. Lovely pillows and nice to have armchairs and coffee table. Appreciated the room being refreshed the second day.

I'm afraid that we returned our meals from the restaurant. We had fish and chips and the fish was not fresh and didn't look nice and batter was over cooked. We didnt want to get unwell eating it. For $38 it should have been fresh fish. This is the first time we have ever returned a meal anywhere so that is an indication of how it looked. However we did get a full refund.
